  • My favorite Heart song...not sure why it is so overlooked.

  • Comment removed

  • this was one of Hearts hidden gems

  • Man people are pretty hard on this video. Yes it is cheesy but the early 80's were full of it and I actually find it entertaining to watch. Ann looks great here (gawd what a cleavage) and this is the last time a video would not try and hide her figure. Could have been much worse.

  • @TheWhalerfan totally agree. still a great song and early 80's videos all look really cheesy nowadays. and you're dead on about Ann. this was the last time they didn't try to hide the body. in fact she shoulda showed more of those guns in this video. what a rack.

  • gotta ditch that magician!

  • my favorite heart song next to barracuda

  • My favorite Heart song; that and Even it up! Wow, the Magic that comes out of Ann's voice is and will always be addictive to me. That Girl can sing!

  • His hair is so short its hard to tell but I think it is. Somebody tell me if you know please?

  • @dltacy Yeah, it is Leese..100% positive

  • @TheWhalerfan Thanks a lot, I'm a fan of his work because this guy has been around forever and gets no recognition as far as I'm concerned. I love Ann and Nancy too but without Leese it would be just like it is now with Def Lepard without Steve Clark you know what I mean?

  • Does anyone know if the lead guitarist in this video is leese? Man I love that riff at the end! Gives me chicken skin!

  • You guys should really add Allies to this channel. I can only find one version of it on YouTube and the quality isn't very good, only 240px! Anybody else who would like to see"Allies on this channel please press the thumbs up symbol on this post! I am of course referring to the studio made video, not on of the live versions.

  • The chicks were lookin hot in this one!!!!

  • @Slipandfall360 YES, THEY WERE ! ANN !! at this time, Ann was having a fling witht he bass player

  • Why did Heart videos suck beyond the band? Who are these horrible video producers! Stick with band, they have always sold themselves!

  • Great Song. I agree with the other comments that this song should be put back on the bands setlist & played "live".

  • love the song and the performance..

but the concept is another horribly cheesy stupid idea

  • whats with the amazing kreskin in this vid ?!

  • Such an underrated lost gem of a song!

  • Great song, my fav from this lineup......but what a stupid ass video.....straight out of the 80's.

  • It's such a shame the Wilson sisters have turned their back on their 80's fans and music. Not only were their biggest selling singles and albums released in the 80's (fact) but it was also some of their best material. This song is proof positive. I would never go see them now. It's like they're acting as if the band only existed in the 70's. I can't stand it when musicians do this type of thing. Totally disrespectful to the fans. Kiss has become the same way. Fools.

  • @compworld1 People who think they know more than those they criticize really are wasting everyone's time.

  • @compworld1 the HEART music U and I love from the 80's wasnt really HEART...that was music they wrote and performed to meet their contract obligations to write a certain # of Top 20 hits for their record label...the music that HEART really loved and wanted to perform wasnt TOP 20 material in the mid and late 80's...(they were a 70's band that "adjusted" to the 80's) Ann and Nancy talk about this in several written interviews back in the early 90's ...

  • @acerr40 the bass player mark andes, said ann is good in bed

  • @acerr40 Thats not true at all. Only the album Magazine falls under that category. Contractual obligation. Everything after was created by Heart or for Heart. You should know this. Your being absurd. They worked fricking hard on Passionworks and everything after.

  • @drbotanus well...never said they didnt work hard on HEART and BAD ANIMALS...just that it really wasnt the style of music they really wanted to create...from what I remember reading, Ann and Nancy chose to continue in late 84 with Capital Records...(along with the rest of the band of course) but stated they realized they would need to change their style from what they were most comfortable with, to remain relevant in the mid and late 80's...but it wasnt the music they most wanted2do

  • love ann's boobs !

  • Ann and Nancy Wilson, along with band mates, ROCK!!! This group is so talented! This song IS underrated, because it is one of the BEST! Keep on rocking!

  • Awesome song and Heart is an awesome band. WTF is with this dumb ass video?

  • screw vevo and jeep compass

  • stronger video would have helped. The magican is lame.

  • @RJMooney1956 yeah there is no way ann and nancy would have had him...he is out of place...he is NO magic man lol he is like more some one that does tricks for kids on thier birthdays

  • if you only listened to her songs you would understand, thats the problem in todays world they dont listen

  • @xgomezmonsta How very true!!! If people will listen instead of just talking there would be much less violence and wars in the world today. That is also true in homes breaking up all over the globe!!!

  • @bardnthemists I agree with what you're saying. It is however an oxymoron; if people will listen instead of just talking then who will we listen to and who should we trust? Man, this world has been so fucked up right from the start.

  • Yep, one of their best underated songs for sure! Always been a huge fan of Heart although I have no respect for the b.s. liberal politics.

  • the whole album that this song is good worth owning

  • i agree with everyone who said this song was hugely under-appreciated. i think maybe that's because it wasn't released as a single ... i'm not sure whether it was. but yeah, it has always been a favorite Heart song of mine!

  • favourite heart song .

    HANDS DOWN .

    (L) .

  • Man this is some of the best music. It's to bad we don't hear stuff like this anymore!

  • I meant no disrespect, I have been a Heart fan all my life. Seen them in concert 3 times. The first was back in 1980, and if your old enough to have seen her back then you would know why I said that. Anyway, I apologize to all Heart fans for my tasteless comment. And by the way... I am bald.

  • Great song, they have so many great tunes but this is definitely one of them.

  • For anyone who clicked on to this video...do the world a favor, and tell someone about this song!....extremely underrated!!...These newbees need to be schooled in what great music should sounds like!!!

  • We Could Take Love All The Way <3

  • Ha ha the drum transitions are so cheesy and so 80's, but this is a great song.

  • @thegorn68 - That's absolutely hilarious! You're right, the intro sounds just like "Hot Blooded"! I wonder how many other songs out there share the same friggin' guitar intro? Too funny!

  • i was in love with these girls back in the 80's!

  • @largelester I'm still in love with these girls in 2011!

  • @Kayak, yes that's why - both songs were recorded with the same beginning guitar pitch! Thanks for your reply. Anyway, Happy belated birthday to Ann Wilson!

  • Happy 61st Ann! June 19th,2011

  • In addition to Barracuda, this was always one of my favorite Heart tunes to cover, back when I sang in a band full-time.

  • I love this song! But it totally cracks me up how the beginning guitar bit sounds EXACTLY like Judas Priests' "You Got Another Thing Comin". Does anybody else hear that too?

  • @Criticalizzy very true.... however, F# pretty much sounds like F#, so if that's the key you choose....

  • @Criticalizzy pretty good guitar sounds on both tracks too.

  • @Criticalizzy I think it sounds more like the beginning of Hot Blooded by Foreigner. Lol!

  • @Criticalizzy Or, the start of Foreigner's "Hot Blooded".

  • @thegorn68 You're right - it does!

  • I agree, a way underrated and hugely underplayed song!! It Rocks!!! Who thinks 1983 was one helluva great year???

  • @coindude69 You hit the nail on the head. I could not agree with you anymore. This song Rocks big time, I'm a big Heart Fan. And really I think this song rates really high with many of their top songs.

  • love ann's huge boobs!!

  • how can i refuse replaying this song?

  • Can't seem to come in here and listen to this less than atleast 6 times lol, everytime. This song ROCKS hard, and with the best energy. What an emotional heart string puller. Makes me feel all lovey duvee happy.

Headed towards 100k views/listens, yippie............ Others need to hear/feel this energy, amazing!

  • Coincidently, if I'm remember right, when I came home from the hospital as a newborn, my parents house, was literally only a few blocks west of the high school Ann was just finishing up at, or had just recently left. I was dragged to AZ when quite young, but I've always thought that was an amazing coincidence. Probably nothing more, but now that I'm older, I'm dieing/planning to move back to the Pacific NW in a few. That area of the country just calls to me/feels like home. Anywho, back to topic

  • Just came back to comment, and hadn't listened to this in a few weeks. First thought that comes to mind, is WOW. Never heard a love/lust song with this kinda energy. Or one that fits me so well. She is speaking this now 42 year young dudes language, bigtime!!!!

Makes me bang my head and wanna play air guitar still. This might be my favorite song, period. Though I love many others, this just stirs a ton of emotion, every time, without fail.

  • @SixSpeedSS ann has nice boobs too

  • ann was such a badass...i can still remember every detail of my life when i got this album. those were some powerful days for me and the man i loved back then. wonder if he ever hears it and remembers me ??? goooood song

  • @perrier81579 I'm sure he does. I remember those days real clear myself, and the emotions/feelings come right back.

  • @perrier81579 Im sure if he ever hears it, he thinks of you. If he had any feelings for you. He probably thinks of you whether he hears this song or not. I say this because i know i still think of my favorite girls from the past!! 2 and a half yrs ago i got in touch with a past girlfriend after exactly 20 yrs apart and we had another passionate fling! Sadly, it only lasted 3 months, much like our first relationship, but i will still cherish ALL the memories i had with Buffy!!!

  • This was probably the third some I ever learned to play. Great memories!

  • I'd rather be fat and happy than skinny and miserable!

  • ann was hot when she was skinny

  • @MegaWolfz And I bet u r one hot dude. lmfao Your probably fat and bald. Quit being so superficial. That alone makes a person ugly as hell. Looks arent everything. And I happen to think Ann is still very attractive. Im sure you wouldve never had a chance in hell to get with her. Shes got too much class for a jerk like you.

  • Saw Heart in 85 and 87 at Vets Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix - Heart and Bad Animals Tours I think. Been a long time. Remember that Y&T opened for them on the first gig I saw.

  • omg i love here so much hottest woman i ever met wow thank you annie ur the one for me babe

  • One of Heart's most underrated forgotten songs. They should play this on their new tour with Def Leppard this summer.Ann Wilson has an amazing voice.Heart is one band I'm surprised was never asked to play a halftime show at the Super Bowl.

  • @WEINBAUER I hope they do when I go and see them the 14th!

  • @WEINBAUER omg they would be so much better then fucking Fergie ugh she was awful in the last half time show

  • How can I refuse? I just love them..... :)

  • Damn did I just love it when Ann & Nancy (along w/many other classic rockers in the audience at the Grammy's) booed Lady CaCa when she won a Grammy. Ann & Nancy are apparently not impressed w/today's music especially Lady CaCa & I loved the hell out of it when CaCa got booed at the Grammy's. It disturbs me how many parents think it's ok to take their teen & preteen kids to see that sick freak in concert. WTF is wrong w/people?! Those parents need their heads examined.

  • Damn,Nancy is freaken HOT in this video,She's Still HOT today..

  • @mantywi ann is hotter, and was banging the bass player back in the 80's

  • @WEINBAUER

I agree. Totally underrated song. IMO, while not dogging on Heart at all (cuz I love em), Passionworks was the last album that had any real "hard rock" edge to it. They got a little too mainstream "pop" for me (enter "What About Love").

  • @Quarrymen69 listen to here on youtube, from Heart, the night, shell shock, rage, bad animals, any of their Led Zepp covers, to name only a few; the great thing about Heart?

They can rock, and hard, then sing you to sleep, like say, Mona Lisa's and mad hatters, a cover from Elton John,

or , under the sky, nada one,....again only a few, I encourage you to check out these gems I think you'll love the adventure!

    Happy Summer!

  • love heart seen them 2 times already going see them in july

  • If that weird guy (and he's WEIRD looking and

a little "dark" -- as in evil looking) is at all

responsible for bringing us "HEART" then

what the hell I'll look the other way at that. If

not, yeah I could live without seeing him

    again. LOOOVE this song...

  • WOW :-) I'll leave it at that..

  • I miss the days of intelligent lyrics and creative melodies. Nowadays the radio airwaves are polluted with utter crap.

  • What's up with that creepy magic dude? Why, he's The Magic Man from their first album! He wants to possess them all!

  • The live version of this is freaking awesome, much harder and more aggressive.

  • I liked many songs by heart .. I remember this one. I really liked this song... thanks for posting

  • One of my favorite Heart songs ever, probably in my top five. If this is released two years later, it goes into the Top 20 easily. As far as the video, I have always been miffed by the concept portion. But I think that Nancy and Ann's earrings (note Nancy is wearing one on her left ear, and Ann's is on her right) are replicas of that sphere. In any event, Nancy Wilson is so unbelievably beautiful I have no problem overlooking a concept flaw.

  • @timstar1 ann is hotter !

  • I'm going to see these lovely ladies in 10 days :D I hope they play this

  • @TakaMayaGoliFan I went to see them last night! Believe me, you won't be dissapointed! Amazing, amazing, amazing!

  • @newgirl1974 I saw them Monday night. They didn't play this song, but it was as amazing as you said.

  • Amazing song. Amazing group.... grew up absolutely loving Heart, no female artists or bands today can touch them in talent. It is too bad that Ann gained all that weight though because she was stunning.

  • It was a good song but hard rock/metal was in full swing back then and I think most fans were wanting to hear more "Barracuda" and less light to medium rockers.

  • I can't believe this wasn't a hit for them.

  • That magician looks like an evil Bill Nye.

  • Nice cleave, Ann @ 2:03 XD

  • @Omniculler i agree ! they are huge !

  • @40ghostrider The Wilsons are just spectacular in every way. Until I saw and heard them I didn't believe so much talent, class, and beauty were possible.

  • @Omniculler so true

  • @Omniculler LOL I actually remember liking that part from when I was a young teen watching "Friday Night Videos" in the early 80's. This was the first Heart video I can remember seeing and it ensured I paid attention to the ones that came in '85.

  • This song Is really good1 I can't belive that the album barley cracked the top 40.

  • Comment removed

  • @ekid787 I can believe this album didn't do well--most people's taste died with the 70s.

  • LOVE ANN'S tits

  • @40ghostrider OINK OINK OINK go masterbate in a hog pasture you perverted fuckstain.

  • @BlankFracksmokesdix u pussy talkin shit behind a computer haha

  • Ahhh, IMO this video started the "sexification" of Ann and especially Nancy.

  • @KarenM526 yes ANN !

  • @KarenM526 Ann started her own "sexification" years before this.

  • i love this song one of my favorite songs by Heart

  • Very good song!!!!

  • This was a really good, rocking song that really never got it's due, in my opinion. And they were so gorgeous they could take your breath away!

  • Such a good song!

  • I knew that she'd had an affair with their manager, but not the bass player.

Let me tell you, I'd jump at the chance, even today.....;o)

  • @AnnihilatingAngel righton

  • I couldn't refuse Ann Wilson anything....

  • @AnnihilatingAngel neither could the bass player, ann was having a fling with him

  • @AnnihilatingAngel i agree, neither could the bass player, he was having a fling with ann

  • wow!!!!

who's that guitar guy at 3:08????

he looks like iolaus from hercules and xena....

  • @808helenabcfan do you mean the one in the white or balck jacket ?

  • @808helenabcfan the bass palyer in the black is mark andes

  • @808helenabcfan Ahh, that would be Mark Andes!! =) Hot, isnt he!??

  • @ILuvAnnWils0n was he married at this time ?

  • Can't refuse watching this regularly. Awesome power!

  • HOT HOT HOT...sexy as hell, talented beyond belief...

  • @stoneguy66 yes ann is !! and she was in a relationship with the bass player at hte time

  • Real naughty ladies online for dating mworld5.info

  • Every time I watch this, I can't watch it just once. Ann is so amazing in this, the look, the sound, the energy. Great song!!!!

  • @SixSpeedSS she is sexy as hell !!! all the guys wanted her

  • @alexmonger11 Now that I believe. Ann from the 70's and definetly 80's is basically my dream girl. I've chased girls of all appearance types, and I gotta say. The ones with the sexual energy and heart/spirit, I've been in love with far more than ones that just had what our culture/media might say have the best appearance. Heck, when I think back, the hottest ladies I've had in my life, have been the ones with the inner beauty overflowing. But I think Ann is smokin hot on the outside too.

  • ANN HAS NICE BOOBS

  • Ann has the Pat Benatar look going on here. Both are rocking gals so it's all good.

  • @FastPonyGT yes she is hot, and nice boobs, plus she was in a relationship with the bass player during this time

  • The late-era disco vibe of semi-sinister nocturnal seduction led to a remake of Dracula as a Broadway musical, starring Frank Langella, there was even a follow-up film, very good if with some weak spots - (check the scene where van Helsing has to kill his own daughter, now undead) -- so having a creepy vampire-like guy in the audience is just a nod to the vibe at the time - the Chris Lee-lookalike is off-putting, though. I like the song, it's passionate and upbeat, not dark at all -

  • man ann is hot. i think the magic dude is john o'hurley

  • @skytree76 yes she is!

  • VEVO,

    How do you make selection, which country has The Right to wach and who has no Right. I name this D I S C R I M I N A T I O N.

    SHAME ON YOU.

    THE MUSIC MUST BE FREE.

  • Oh my goodness. I can't wait to see them tomorrow. :D

  • I like this video and the song

  • First time seeing this video. Kind of strange.... I LOVE this song, though! It reminds me of a new relationship that's just on fire. The video did not do the song justice.

  • There are some songs that seem to fall through the cracks, only for us to discover years later, this is one of them, fantastic song!! I'm playing it around the clock!!

  • This song just missed the top 40 pop (#42) in late 1983. However, it did go to #1 on the Rock charts. Love it

  • I remember this song from the fall of 1983.....just did miss hitting the top 40..cant figure out why...it should have hit the top 10......the guy in this video does look creepy....sort of like that Professor Snapes guy in the Harry Potter movies

  • MAN CANT WAIT TILL AUGUST 31 HEART'S NEW C.D IZ COMEING OUT IZ CALLED RED VELVET CAR

  • @1996THEART Yeah. right on!..NOW ...BACK TO THE STRANGE MAN IN THE VIDEO...WHAT IS UP WITH HIM AND WOULD SOMEONE EXPLAIN THE PREMISE OR STORYLINE? HOW HARD WOULD IT REALLY BE TO REFUSE THAT GUY ANY THING...i WOULD TELL HIM "NO" TO A GLASS OF WATER!!!!...DAMN!!!!!!!

  • @1996THEART what is this IZ shit? ENGLISH!

  • @1996THEART and its bloody brilliant at that friends(pick up your own copy!)

  • Ann looked so beautiful in this video.....

  • @whyyeseyec yes she dose

  • @whyyeseyec yea she did, thye bass player was her boyfriend at the time

  • @40ghostrider Ann was involved with the band manager, Mike Fisher, and Nancy was involved with guitarist Roger Fisher. By this point, Roger Fisher was replaced by Howard Leese, Mike Fisher was gone, and bass player Steve Fossen was replaced by Mark Andes. But I gotta say that as a mediocre bass player, when I can play all of Mark Andes' parts with no problem, I think he was hired 'case he was pretty. ;-)

  • @sm1else true, when mark andes joined heart he and ann had a fling, he talks about it on his website. and there are pics of them kissing. mark is llegendary, having palyed for spirit, jojo gunne, and firefall before heart. yes ann wanted him in band for his looks

  • @40ghostrider Really? Wow! I didn't know Ann had another fling! Go, Ann! Nancy was married to Cameron Crowe by this point, right?

  • @sm1else yes she was!

  • @sm1else Roger and Howard both played in the band together.

  • @34point5ish Really? I thought he was a session musician for them and was brought permanently when Roger left. Huh. Cool.

  • @sm1else Yah. He was the session guy when Mike Fliker produced them. But he joined the group and he, Roger F, Steve fossen and Mike Derosier along with the Wilsons made up Heart. Check out the making of Little Queen stuff. Pretty cool. ;)

  • @34point5ish I just did. Very cool! And speaking of Roger Fisher, he's apparently hanging out with Queensryche. I hope he tours with them. (It won't let me post a youtube url in this message, but do a search for him and Silent Lucidity. He looks good.)

  • @sm1else Yah. He was the session guy when Mike Flicker produced them. But he joined the group and he, Roger F, Steve fossen and Mike Derosier along with the Wilsons made up Heart. Check out the making of Little Queen stuff. Pretty cool. ;)

  • @sm1else well Ann had a fling with him

  • Really odd that this album flopped. I mean it wasn't "Dreamboat Annie", but it sounded very in tune with what was being played in 1983 and was IMO much better than "Private Audition". Before You Tube I had totally forgotten that this song and "Sleep Alone" are pretty good cuts!

  • @TheWhalerfan I love this song. I just assumed that the album flopped at the time because 2 original members left and they just kind of hopped on the 80s bandwagon. I love the 80s though and the 80s stuff that many 70s rockers did were their best efforts.

  • @60BloodyChamp60 Yeah, you are right, they did hop on the 80's bandwagon. Most of the songs from the early 80's were pretty decent (except "Break"..ugh) but the absence of Roger Fisher was very noticeable in the sound. More straight ahead rock songs, done very well, but less originality than their first 4 albums. I am still surprised that there weren't enough remaining fans to keep from getting dropped from their label...this wasn't a one hit wonder group, they had 5 huge albums.

  • @TheWhalerfan Well Bebe Le Strange was only successful because of previous albums, it was a mediocre effort. Which led to Private Audition which was a verifiable
