Saw this at NYAFF last week, really great movie. A lot of heart and soul. Many people were calling it cynical, and it IS, on the surface, but at it's heart it is full of hope and a wink of the eye, infectious, with so many great fresh ideas..I look forward to more from this director!

If you have been through life long enough (well, at least 18PL) to appreciate the "reality" of matters around us, and wonder if others experience it the way we do, you'll kinda get reminded that we have a lot in common. Call it high-class low society, we are all human after all. Malaysian in the 21st century has its own challenges that could not be expressed in words, but through the "reality" of a film made by fellow Malaysians. Bravo! for showcasing MALAYSIAN society in its own unique way.

2 things shock me, 1st thing is there are only 10 audience inside cinema(5 friends and 4 strangers), the 2nd thing is...... I cant believe it is MALAYSIA MOVIE!!!! OMG!!! Well Done!!! The comedy of the movie is not Over act, those are the action we are (mostly) doing everyday... the musical of this movie is a lot better than the "H!gh Schxxl Musixal"... Indeed, is there someone could give US the imformation of the download source of the song??

Robert McKee has said it. Any comedy that makes you laugh is a great one. Who cares about the Hollywood shit.

Hi MRE, first of all the director was James Wan which was born in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. The point was that why is there so many malaysian directors who haven't or didn't take a shot at the banks and with hardened international critics, when all they wanna do is direct some cheesy horror flick or some in-your-face manglish moral movies (LIKE THE SINAGPOREAN ONES). To all malaysian directors out there, take a shot at the OSCARS. Those no-apologies japaneses even made it!
