i LOVED ut1. I thought ut2004 was okay, but they just went overboard with the vehicles.

old school deathmatch and CTF were the shiznit in UT1. I loved that game so much. People think CoD is fast-paced deathmatch; they're just stuck in Plato's cave.

DM-Morpheus alone made the game worth buying.

Good times sniping on CTF-Face with tripple monsterkill with just four opponents.. On my sweet AMD Athlon @ 500MHz with Riva TNT2 with 32 MB ram, back in 1999-2000.. My first computer. I must have been 14.. Making BNC networks that always failed, a bunch of guys trying to play this at my friend's basement.. In our defence, hubs were expensive lol

I think Halo is just as good as most of the old FPS titles, but hey, as long as everyone agrees that halo and the other FPS titles are better than cod and battlefield, I'm alright)

(Hey, at least with Halo, it had a great multiplayer experience, kind of like games such as Quake 3 and this game)

X-loc made UT99 the most fastpaced and fun CTF game in history. I remember all the late night fraggin on Telenor servers and all the fantastic players there very well. Quake had nothing on UT99 when it came to speed and CTF. DM was a whole other ballgame as x-loc wasn't used.

One thing I loved about UT is that there were alot of secret passages, so once i shoot a wall and it opened to my surprise. Also loved the double pistol and the Reedemer.

Back in the days i had both Quake 3 and UT in my Dreamcast and now I've even had them both in my pc.

@mainkilla yeah but IMHO, UT is better than CS. in CS there are only 2 prominent weapons: AK-47 and AWM sniper rifle, but in Unreal Tournament ALL WEAPONS are very deadly from chainsaws to dual enforcers to rocket launchers, even teleport gadgets are lethal. plus the soundtrack kicks ass

@mainkilla ak, awm, mp5 and desert eagle are always the guns that my opponents use in CS online. they rarely use the hard-to-use guns like scout sniper and tmp. however in UT everyone's weapon preferences vary (btw I specialize in dual enforcers)

I remember the first time I saw it played. The character was running down a hallway with a door in the side wall at the end. There was an enormous bang and four or five heads came bouncing in the door and down the hall. A stomach hit the player in the face. I fell in love instantly.

@Nightmarelord2005 Because (at least I find) the Unreal Engine graphics are still really good. They ain't got nothing on the really modern stuff but they still hold their own when it comes to playability, animations are smooth, sound is good and the graphics work.
