  • I'm bored.

  • You are beautiful!! God has made a masterpiece out of you!

I stumbled upon your videos and I fell in love with you : D !!

  • she is cute

  • kaksakır

  • what about NO brain?

  • Where are you from? NY now.. but..

Serbian extraction looks like. Val are you originally from the former Yugoslavian countries? Hmmm.... Jonathan

  • I totally get the right side of the brain thing, i am also an artist, i do lots of cartooning. All my life, thats how Ive been, artsy fartsy. i love the messages you send through your paintings, this one in particular is one of my favorites, because thats exactly how i feel sometimes. You have a fun personality, and a good heart!

  • This video would be a lot more interesting if you had your baps out love! XX

  • ahaha I love Dr.Stinky!!! wow! what a kool painting, the hair must have taken forever, but you make a very interesting point... hmm, I wonder, which side IS more dominant? for better or for worse, i find it kinda wierd that they can tell me why I do what I do, and that its all about hat happens in my brain, not in my soul. So I dont know.

  • YOUR DOPE!

  • horray for right brained people!

  • or if your sketched about giving out your own email do you have an agent or manager who can give me an email.

  • that painting is incredible, i love it, i want to buy it for my apt. in manhattan do you have an email?

  • Always fascinated by her artwork. She's really talented.

  • Really nice painting Val! You rock!

  • YOU ALWAYS THROW IT TO THE PEOPLE ON THE BOTTOM *cries*

  • im still trying to figure out where your from...

  • what is ur point? does it matter? just enjoy her beauty and her work and 4get about that. Don't be so shallow..

  • Val, my comment was for BEATSLIM who is still trying to figure out where are you from. your work is impecable, B E A U T I F U L.. Just like you are!! really!!

  • I love your videos! btw Is this painting of you?

  • thanx!

well... maybe it is somehow :/

  • i like cokey cola too and i eat my cookies everyday like a good boy. nothing wrong with you, you beautiful woman! right rocks! we need more Vals!! start cloning you now.

  • Loved this one! My daughter had a massive stroke on the right side of her brain when she was 18. She had to relearn to walk, talk, etc. She has recovered fully and then some...she now paints very similar to your style. Thanks for your point of view. Your a sweetheart. :^)

  • Oh my gosh!

    I cant beleive it.

Iv'e always been intrested on that right brian/left brain fact =]

I always thought that the reason why I was so horrible at my math skills was because Im more right brained. Thats why I've awalys also been into my artistic skills more.

But I have to admit. Time to time I wish I can use a little more...logic :P

  • I love how the skunk thinks she/he will control all the brains..too funny. thanks Val. The painting is beautiful.

  • You're very gorgeous.

  • Disorder? Well, she does make all those little noises lol.

  • Self portrait! :O

  • this video is a lot sharper than before

  • Val, I really like this painting and video. Never feel bad about who/what you are, the world needs all kinds! Sounds like your college staff was just too closed minded to understand you and felt that your way of life wouldn't "make enough money" which is not what life is about anyway. PS: I am not an artist defending artists I'm actually a very left brained person who believes in harnessing the skills you were born with instead of trying to conform to one of society's cookie cutter life styles.

  • Oh I'm very right brained. I'm horrible with Math but I am very visual. I love art. I loved to draw as a child. I majored in graphic design in college.

  • Hi Val! I truly understand and relate to this! I don't think I HAVE a disorder...I think I AM a disorder! LOL

    Beautiful painting. :)

    Shell

  • sorry for the late reply, but I was on vacation. I enjoyed this video seemingly presented by both sides of your brain. ;)

  • amazing!

  • The painting this week: stunning. Your philosophy: as always, very pleasing to listen to.

  • Awesome absolutely!

I really enjoyed, so fun, so amazing...

    The painting is beautiful...

    Thank you very much :D

  • Excellent as always!

  • hey Val, LOVE this painting and the symbolism!

  • i totally understand what you mean!!

lol~ we all should be proud of

our unique & abstract-ed-ness way of thinking :]

    absolutely gorgeous painting~

  • ╔╗╔═╦╗

  • Hi Val,

Another great episode! I was away from home on Sunday and dying to see it. I wasn't disappointed. Thank you for sharing :-)

  • a little disorder is perfectly normal for an artist..i wouldn´t go as far as saying that it is required *cough*... ;)

entertaining and amusing videos + art... what more could one ask for?

...even the miniature previews on the "right" side match...color/style wise...

  • According to my shrink Dad's books: a disorder is anything at all that prevents normal, daily functions. So--if you have friends, can pay your own rent and your relationships more or less follow acceptable, social standards--then you're fine.

    FMI FYI.

  • I could listen to you talk all day...

    Peace

  • Yes women use more of their brain than males. That is why girls can multitask much better than boys. Love your videos.

  • Yes, I also do believe in the theory of the two main brain parts (I am lefthanded btw + cancer). did you know that womans brain sides are much stronger connected than the male (of course a bit generalizing here...)

  • Val, if you want to understand how we acquire knowledge in the context of learning theory, read Brent Davis' book entitled "Inventions of Teaching: A Genealogy". I am hoping to finish my PhD in Education building on his work because it's very interesting and has me convinced that most schools in North America only deal with a small % of how we learn.

  • Its lovely Val, I hope it sells well.

  • Its lovely Val!!!!!

  • hola, me encantan tus pinturas, son profundas y suaves. Veo en ti descendencia latina, saludos desde Panamá! H&K

  • nice you're actually really interesting

  • Val is so full of love and life!

  • Aw shit. Just push paint around and dont worry about all that crap. Push paint.

  • Lettle Fens.

  • I miss the gap in her teeth. In my opinion

it symbolized a defiance of societal

conventions of beauty. This may seem like

an ancillary matter, but I still think it

was a loud statement...like art can be. I feel

she sort of gave in to convention by getting

that fixed. She didn't need too get that fixed

as pretty as she is, she can get away with it.

  • totally awesome. LOVE the painting and the concept. I think we think the same way, by the way.

...and if we do, you'll know, because you'll actually understand that sentence! haha!

  • You know what's really bad? Struggling between both sides of the brain. I'm an artist who has been paid and have done successful album covers. At the same time, I'm a write in both the creative sense, journalistic sense, and technical sense. Worst of all, I'm ADD and have developed an unhealthy infatuation with Quantum Mechanics recently. I like your thoughts on education. I would like to please swap links on that if you would message me. I did a video on it. I think you'll like it.

  • I wan't to hear her say slot machines again:)

  • I've always been fascinated by that myself. If you haven't already done it, I suggest taking the Myers-Briggs test for your personality type. I'm an unorganized right brainer & came out as an INTP.

  • loved the painting Val!

  • The effort put into them is worth more than a dollar!

  • You miss the point. I would be willing to bid much more than a dollar dear. There is a principle that must be lived by, and that if you put your art out for the public to bid on, then you must stand by what people think your art is worth!

  • i dont think its so much as her ego but more that she has to make enough to sustain herself. do you go to work for free or does your ego get in the way, let me guess foxnews, you do all volunteer work right?

  • Either somebody needs more negotiation skills or somebody has a taste for lamborghinis.

  • No you just don't understand how it works as a hired gun. You don't make royalties if you are a hired gun on a session.

And as I suspected, people who are completely ignorant of the realities of a professional musician will not understand.

  • Then perhaps you should sigh your drum sticks and auction them on e-bay.

  • Most of Vals paintings sell for much more than her reserve price is set. Not to mention if your parents are paying for your car payments that you cannot keep up with then you don't have the money to spend anyway.

  • just b/c you cant cut it "Kid" doesnt mean others shouldnt either.

  • Maybe Fox News will hire you?

  • you are very cute and lovable

  • i like val because she's like a female, modern (and far less hairy) bob ross

  • ...and a captivating personality, much easier on the eyes, and puts a lot more thought into her paintings.

  • And she has nice breasts.

  • Fun video Val. I can relate to the idea of school designed for a certain way of thinking because I was bad in school until I realized that in order for me to learn/understand something, I can't read it but must visualize it. So now I draw pictures or place information into lists that I can picture in my mind to remember it :)

  • This one is one of my favorites! Anyone and everyone can identify directly with this piece. I find it really awesome that you explain the what's and why's of your art. Very unique approach to it.

  • I agree with dale3858

  • Sweetie, you don't have a disorder, you are so freakin cute and sweet, and I really love how you describe your paintings... You're adorable...

    I love you...

  • Why is there a skunk in my brain? ...time to call the exterminator again I guess. Sheesh. Third time this month, too. Darned plush skunks with high pitched voices invading my brains. Hangin's too good fer 'em.

  • Girl is hot.. But Im not surprised her art teacher tried to change her style. Unfortunately in this media age, self-promotion outweighs talent.

  • Right brain is the math and logic, and left brain is the artistic side....right?

    Did I remember that right?

    I always get confused.

I loved the way the hair became this very intricate design around the rest of the person.

  • the skunk reminds me of pepe le pew.

  • Hey Val you're so fine youre so fine you blow my mind hey Val! ;)

  • It is agsinst our constitution to use preimtive strikes as a solution to potential threats. The Patriot Act is supposed to be a positive thing to most people. It really isn't. The governor in Austin Texas states that he will not enforce this law and that it is unconstitutional. Just becasue terrorists reside in a country doesnt mean the country should be invaded thats not diplomatic. We house thousands of terrrorists here in the states.

  • what terrorists. The Boston Teaty was a terrorist act, our seal team are terrorists, spying is considered terrorist. There were no terrorists from iraq or afganistan in the attack. You really ned to do some research because you still don't realize the truth it was an inside job. Were killing the inocent to protect the innocent? thats dumb name one terrorist who was from iraq or afganistan.

  • They might not have been involved, but we have to protect our country from their constant threats. Really, what would you do in that situation? If you were the president and american had just been under attack, would you just sit by the sidelines and let it work itself out?

  • Val, I too am a fellow "right-brainer". It is a wonderful thing to be, but certainly can be challanging in college (which i am in right now). Anyway, gorgeous painting - I think it's my favorite one yet!

    Lots of love!

    "thegoldenmedusa"

  • pretty!

  • why don't i know the skunk's name? the skunk was awesome in this one. :-)

really intense detail on this painting -- i like it.

  • No, you don't have a disorder.

  • EAT YOUR COOKIES!

  • Nothing wrong with being "right-brained" though, Val.

  • dont like the art lottery painting, it dosent look finish and val dosent spend even any time talking about it so boo huu i want more

  • Thanks for making modern art worth it again!

  • Nice!

  • How many Pixels does your camera have?

  • I'm definately a right brainer....its kind of a bad thing for me....I have always struggled in a world that seems to be run by left brainers...but in a lot of ways I am happier this way :) Might as well embrace it because I can't help it....

  • You are so cute and quirky. I love it. I love to listen to you tell your stories and explain your paintings. Keep up the great work.

    :):);D

  • I love to watch you paint and listen to your voice. Keep it up. Dave

  • you are such the DREAM GIRL! I am totally engrossed!

  • haha eat your cookies, priceless.

  • Hi Val, Don't think of it as a disorder,

Isn't it more like thinking outside the box, or in this case, out of your left brain;)?

A different way of thinking and being is liberating.

    Love, Leonie

  • I miscounted...

    Is there "mid" hemisphere?

    Where it hiding?

    Is in a belly?

  • Val, I wouldn't worry if your right side of the brain is dominant. The right side of your brain brings about the wonderful paintings you paint because, i'm pretty sure you know, the right side of the brain controls our imagination, creativity and other such skills. can't wait for another of your videos!! btw, i'm leaning towards the right side. not there yet... :( (lucky you! dominant right brain!)

  • Life is all about balance. Keep your body, mind and spirit healthy, you'll do just fine. You seem to have those things in order. Keep on painting, keep on living. Much love. -JEM

  • Nice painting, its very interesting. when I was in 7th or 8th grade we worked on the whole left brain, right brain thing. I too am very right brained and my teacher, who was very left brained, disliked me very much. hmmm, makes one think. Speaking of thinking...ive wondered about the idea of your brain evolving as you age...for example, I feel as though I have started using more of my left brain than i did in the past. hmmm

  • I can't tell if I'm more left or right. They are both needed equally for what I do. you are so amazing! i love every episode you make. brilliant!!! cheers -R

  • Hooray for demented skunks!

  • if you dont clik your running to,,, fast val , you ran stressed999 out of existance

  • Great painting, Val, one of the best I've seen yet on your very entertaining channel. 5 stars

  • You're brilliant.

The way you make your videos is amazing, with you discussing things very philosophically, yet we can tell you are full of life and personality. You discuss your issues, and you show us your process of creating these wonderful works of art. You are probably my favorite Youtuber ever.

You are also as much fun to watch as much as how good you are at painting :).

  • Wow, Val, your new painting is beautiful! I might say that, so far, 2 Brains is my favorite. I love the color scheme, the spiral hair and the story behind it is fascinating. The story behind it reminds me of my all-niter's in college as an art student. Eventually, after many hours of illustrating, painting and thinking, I would be completely submerged into the left side of my brain (the creative side). Great work this week!

  • Yesterday at the bookstore I recomended Drawing On the Right Side of The Brain by Dr Betty Edwards to a young artist who wanted to get into art school and she bought it.

However I am still drinking nearly a case of coca cola a day despite your timely warnings.

  • Look at someone like Albert Einstien- he couldn't remember where he lived and walked around literally spaced out in a right brained imagination trip yet he was able to devise the complex left brained mathematics to prove his right brained theories.

  • You are an inspiration to me every week. Great painting. :)

  • I love your voice! Oh, and the accent too. :)

But anyway, your paintings are amazing, (If only I could draw like that...) Your personality just puts me in a good mood, we need more people in the world like you, Val, be a better place to have some cheerful people, eh? ^_^

  • this painting looks fascinating to me

  • It is fortunate for us that your creative brain dominates! Thanks for all of the great art and entertainment you give us. Are you still 'off' the coke?

  • well well balanced piece...Great palette...

  • cute title. :)

  • Well Val, I hope you had a great relaxing day.

I love the spontaneous free-spiritness that you have. Espeshaly with Dr Stinky.

"I will rule all the brains in the universe"

    :D :D :D

  • We should all have your "disorder"...It would be a much more colorful and creative world. Once again, thanks for this week's video. Your painting is wonderful.

  • I love how you make random noises. I do it, too. Maybe I'm just biased.

  • this week's painting is so awesome

  • My comments for this video are a top secret project I'm working on, that I can't tell you about... ;)

  • Real pretty =)

    And you're such a dork, it's wonderful =D

    ♥Teena

  • Val you are SO CUTE!!!!!!!!!!

  • I like your videos, very talented and original.

  • just go with whichever side makes you happy

    great painting

  • I love that painting. Great episode.

  • I know she is attractive and has a nice accent, but trust me guys run like hell if you meet a woman like this. Women don't make sense as it is little lone one way out in left field. I cannot imagine getting into a argument with this one. I would give up simple because the topic wouldn't make any sense, and it be too hard to make a valid point. She is nice to look at, but I am sure she is a nightmare to date.

  • Oops...I gave a thumb up instead of thumb down...slippery mouse.

Anyway, I think it is so lame how people go on and on about her looks. The fact that she is attractive has been established even before she signed up for YouTube. Her viewers should either focus on creative criticism, supportive comments, or just taking a cold shower.

  • Don't worry it's the right side of your brain that agrees with me is all. To add, slapping a bunch of paint on a canvas doesn't make you creative.

  • You are correct, the action of slapping a bunch of paint on a canvas does not make a person creative, it is the action of turning that paint into recognizable subject matter that makes a person creative.

And if you think that what she does is not creative, then you are also right that she would be a nightmare for you to date.

  • Keith98 it seems as though you are an authority on all kinds of things, but mostly women and slapping paint on things. I'm impressed with your mental powers.

  • I am no authority on anything, and I realize women are a mystery. All I know is women like this twist and turn everything a person says against them. A woman way out there is even harder to get into focus on certain issues. Just be careful what women you choose to worship.

  • Regardless of which side is dominant, your lobes look right to me.

  • This show is disturbingly entertaining.

  • I've always had a problem with both sides of my brain trying to dominate. Which is much worse. Kinda gets confusing when it comes down to my likes. I really like this painting, I think it's one of your best.

  • Keep being who you are, you're very lovable and charming with your well developed right brain

  • i am literally in love with you

  • I don't understand how you can think of all your ideas. its amazing.

  • I dont understand! do you win the painting that you did in the video if the drat lands on your username? but is't that the painting you selling on ebay? so if it's a difrent painting cant you show it in your video?

  • The d'Art giveaway painting is a separate one from the main painting Val does in the video. She showed a picture of the giveaway painting at video time index 7:46, right before she throws the dart.

  • "you better believe it!" LOL I guess you told that counselor which way the wind blows!

  • Something about the picture bothered me. I don't know what but I felt uncomfortable. LOL However you were so cute acting in this video that it was still a wonderful experience.

  • great piece this week.

  • Awesome pic! Very right brain of you Val. :-)

  • wow the painting this weel was amazing!! i loved it :) it gets better every week.. great job val!!

  • Lol, that skunk is really starting to grow on me. Beautiful painting Val, I love the thorns!

  • Hey..it's Pepe La Pew 5:28

  • lol

  • I hope that you throw the dart at me next time. 8*)

  • No disorders with you.Everything you got looks

    gooood from where I'm sitting.

  • "True Story" I say that all the time. We have so much in common.

love your videos. You should definitely have your own show. Until then, it's great to have you on here.

  • This is the 1st video of u that I've seen. I must say that you are awesome, u seem totally fun to hang out w/. I like the concept behind your painting. The brain is a pretty cool thing huh; so complex. Tell mr.skunk hi for me

  • What makes you think she needs a green card?...

  • People are gonna blow your phone up.

  • Why the hell you leave your cell number here? Change your number now.
