How would you feel if you or your child were sick but you couldn't afford the treatment? I've known ppl who have lost eveything just to keep their kid in the hospital for a few months longer, then having to stop the treatment because they couldn't pay. They eventuly did get sub-standard treatment of the kid but it wasn't the care he needed. THAT IS WRONG!

Marriage, is by definition, the union of 1 man and 1 woman. I share the opinion of Elton John (gay); "why would gay people want to be married, it is a word made for the union of 1 man and 1 woman." Its simple, quit trying to change things we believe to be sacred in our country and simply find another word. @deegan45 The 1st amendment states that the government can't make a law that forces people into any specific religion. Period. The majority consensus of anyone who's actually studied our founding documents, the people who formed them, and the zeitgeist of the time, is that "separation of church and state" was meant to protect government from interfering with religion, not visa versa. Asking for religion to stay completely separate from government would mean leaders abandoning their beliefs.

This war in Libya was NOT about humanitarian (rebel) efforts, it was about Libyan 'sweet' crude oil and that Gaddhafi turned it off to the EU. Because if it was about humanitarian efforts, what about the Ivory Coast, Syria, Bahrain, Jordon..... no US planes flying over these places.

As a person with bad health problems and have had many long hospital stays and surgeries, excuse me for saying that I feel NOTHING for Beck here! He gets a glimps into what it's like to be a normal person dealing with American Healthcare! No matter how hard he had it, at least he DID get treated and got the chance to complain! I wonder what he would have turned him down at the doors and didn't get all them horrible pain meds because he didn't have insurance? I have no empathy for him...

It's only because of our privatized, capitalistic, and therefore inherently competitive, system that those advancements ever came to be. I'd love to hear about the game-changing medical advancements that originated from Canada, Cuba, or any other country with socialized medicine.

How would you feel if you or your child were sick but you couldn't afford the treatment? I've known ppl who have lost eveything just to keep their kid in the hospital for a few months longer, then having to stop the treatment because they couldn't pay. They eventuly did get sub-standard treatment of the kid but it wasn't the care he needed. THAT IS WRONG!
