Its a peace keeping format and has no balls like NATO.They were not equipped to defend that place and got no backup their allies.The only backup was from all 4 dutch F16's from an Italian base which were eager to fight (I've seen the flight videos) throwing some bombs and then got called back cause Serbs threatened to kill the dutch that stood with only .50 rifles against a bigger army with heavy firepower tanks etc. The serbs knew that very well

I've seen videos from soldiers that did shoot back under heavy fire.Maby they should hold position by playing bluf poker. Maby! It shurely would have worked out that way if it were Americans but they would probably kill some tens of dutchies here and there to put it through, they have no air carriers to start a war on their own.

But that there were 15k of them I didn't know. All those soldiers fled into the woods to escape the serbs and 7k of them were shelled, shot, captured and killed. They are trained to fight in a situation in which they appear to be outnumbered and on lower ground. As the guy commented in the vid: first thing to do then is to establish a stronghold, assess enemy positions, numbers and deploy activities from there accordingly. Regarding RPG fire to personnell: An RPG exploding on a surface reflecting the blast is a sure kill.
