Okey, yes it's a childbirth. The mother looks distant, not even a grin on her face during the whole thing, like she doesn't care at all. So I check out the other videos from "givebirth1", and they all are of different women, from different nationalities, faking labor, touching them self half naked, and obviously playing hurt. My guess is that they get payed to be pregnant, this is like pregnancy-porn! I just wonder what happens to the babies......

baby was a little grey, but pumping the umbilical was the right thing to do. its not always about a crazy emergency. midwife stayed calm an did what was right. the environment wasnt unclean it is a lived in home!! i think it was beautiful. congrats!!! its awesome you had the courage to have your baby naturally without interventions from harmful hospitals or drs who sometimes do more bad than good.

I'm about to have my second baby and my first born was put on my belly/chest with the cord still attached, I have a minute with him and then Daddy cut the cord and then they took my son to a crib right next to me to clean him. I was saying that i really don't like this video; that it is absurd, a complete lack of respect, for the midwife to hit the woman while she is giving birth, and that that baby should have been put straight into the mother's arms, and not on the floor. I also said that there is no point in having your child at home if the experience is going to be exactly like at the hospital.

The pushing on her abdomen you see in the video is called fundal pressure. When a get hung up are lodged funny in the birth canal this technique can budge baby down. As you see it works. She pushes on the top of the uterus (the fondus). It is not needed unless baby is stuck. It does cause mom pain but it is not as painful as recovering form Major abdominal surgery to deliver baby by C Section.

Without are nurse,doctor and completed equipment i think we should thanks the midwife because she struggle hard whatever experience she got to save 2 life.The mother and the baby.Others comment seems to deny hows the midwife act.If that women is my wife i should say thanks are lot for doing are great job done and for saving my wife and my baby's life.Watch the video carefully then send the comment.Don't send are shit comment.

Para qué tener un parto en casa si va a ser exactamente como en el hospital? Yo jamás tendria un hijo con esa partera, está loca de pegarle a la parturienta durante el expulsivo?! Y el pobre bebe! En el piso! Tenia que estar en los brazos de su madre! No me gustó en lo absoluto!

I was saying that i really don't like this video; that it is absurd, a complete lack of respect, for the midwife to hit the woman while she is giving birth, and that that baby should have been put straight into the mother's arms, and not on the floor. I also said that there is no point in having your child at home if the experience is going to be exactly like at the hospital.

Why didn't you just let her learn by PUSHING? Not people pushing on her stomach and someone pulling the baby out at the same time. That just lets the mother just sit there and relax and not have to do anything! Just sayin'!

@givebirth1 i was saying that this is the most depressed hombirth i ever seen.
the midwife is hitting the mother during the delivery end to nervous??!! A midwife has to stay calm, give a lot of love, hopen and calm to the mother....they didn't even put the baby in the mother's arms...
and it's hard to see the mother so depresed! it was her moment! but she had the bad luck to have to wrong people by her site! i hope mother and doughter are happy..

The pushing on her abdomen you see in the video is called fundal pressure. When a get hung up are lodged funny in the birth canal this technique can budge baby down. As you see it works. She pushes on the top of the uterus (the fondus). It is not needed unless baby is stuck. It does cause mom pain but it is not as painful as recovering form Major abdominal surgery to deliver baby by C Section.

Is there a specific reason why the midwife (?) was pushing on top of her stomach? Did this help the baby come out more easily? Just curious...
