This is one of my favourite Nirvana songs. People who say Kurt Cobain couldn't play guitar are idiots! This song and School have AMAZING guitar solos. He really played from his heart. Not to mention all the wicked riffing in Love Buzz and Aero Zeppelin. The point of the punk movement, though, is that you DON'T need to be able to play the guitar really well in order to make a great rock song. And in the end, nobody had the voice of Kurt Cobain. AMAZING vocal range.
My favorite song on Bleach! But I love them all. Floyd The Barber might be my personal favorite, but at the moment, I'm addicted to this song at the moment and Token Eastern Song. I love unheralded Nirvana as much (if not more) than popular Nirvana. Which is to say I love it all.
Hahaha, 'pparently they listened to Celtic Frost's Morbid Tales over and over before recording this album. As well as loving Melvins, later Black Flag, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Flipper.... "Bleach" in itsself was a good album. I'm not as much into newer poppier Nirvana while Melvins (though still getting legendary recognition) never got to the same step.
