We fought better, had better tactic and strategy.

@FlitkoSLO my friend all 4 of them look alike the stg44 looks like the ak47 and the mosin looks like the lee but the lee covers the barrel more than the mosin and the stg44 just connect the front peice coming from the top of the barrel connect that down then you have the aks twin

@GuyPennebaker Look, different weapons of the same class remotely resemble one another. All pistols look similar, all assault rifles look similar and so on. But you can easily distinguish between them. I can't see how the AK looks just like the StG, not to mention that they have a completely different action. The Kalashnikov IS NOT a copy of the StG44. End of story.

I don't give a hoot what the worlds best assault rifle is, AK, M16 or whatever...honestly dont care. Anyone with any sense knows that the AK didn't just pop out of nowhere. =P
Also, why would the Russians bother keeping the German designers at work if they weren't working on important Russian arms projects? Especially someone of Schmeisser's standing. Seems to me they'd utilise his skills wherever possible.

They had not less than us, even more (Finland, France, Itally, Romania, Bulgaria, Litva, Estonia all this armies are not in statistic) and still they lost. We fought better, had better tactic and strategy.

To me it sounded like you said the Western Front was useless/pointless and the Soviets didn't need any pressure to be taken off and single handedly did everything.

Brest was at the beginning of the war - how the hell were the Allies (British Commenwealth at that point) going to cross through France, Belgium, Holland, Norway, Italy, Denmark, Germany to get to Poland at the beginning of the war. Not to mention that Britain was being bombed by the Luftwaffe way before the Soviets were attacked! I'm sorry to say you can't argue with facts and the truth is without the Western Front or any of the fronts really the Soviets wouldn't win!

Многие погибли атакуя тупо в лоб на укрепленные позиции. Фрицы воевали грамотно, наши учились у них, но все это время "учебы" гибли тысячами наши солдаты ничего конкретного не принося.
