  • Seem like the major differences between 'Any given Thursday' and 'Where the light is' is the concert "vibe" (More mature sounding performance) and the fan base (Less 13 year old screaming girls).

  • everyday i have the john mayer

  • I died when he said "looo-OOOoooooose"

  • all John Mayer fans follow me on twitter @dassickbro182

  • Pino Palladino is the most adaptable player I've ever seen! Amazing!!!

  • John is such a king! This trio is realy awesome, amazing! :)

  • One of myfavorites greatest musical influences. Mayer is an animal!

  • he is a beast!!! amaaazing!!

  • if he was born 20 years earlier he would be considered a god

  • @MCMSB no kiddin man.. back when people knew what a real musician was

  • 160 people have got the blues everyday - 0 people havent' got... wait a minute...

  • Fucking. Amazing.

  • Goddamn Steve Jordan is so solid

  • And Pino got laid that night.

  • Nice Hendrix Strat!

  • if you listen to this on Try! or other live trio versions. the audience responds to his everydays in the last verse. Here he points to them, and unless it got taken out afterwords. the audience doesnt even bother to respond

    maybe there too awestruck

  • jeeezzzzz... he went super sayian on that solo!!!

  • this is like the JMT theme song.

  • While John totally rocks, Pino just stands there in the back stealing the show. Love this guy. Amazing players all. I love that little look Pino gives when John uses the Cry baby during the solo.

  • I love Pino Palladinos's expressions.

While John plays the solo, Pino is always watching him like a teacher watches his student to make sure he plays the right notes.

  • umm awesome guitar solo much?! whew

  • Pino Palladino's is awesome as well!

  • @stratguy1688 pino's bestfriend's cousin was my teacher in HS

  • john mayer playing on a maple fretboard? hmmmm this is a change

  • @SenorDavid91 - I have videos on my favorites of John playing his Black1, a Gibson ES335, Gibson SG, and various other strats and telecasters. Not many I've seen where he has the right handed guitar with the lefty headstock, but strung for a righty!

  • @MrStoll25 i think its called a proto strat.

this one was based after hendrix's 70's blonde strat.

its one of few replicas, or made for john alone, im not sure.

  • @MiniDaab I remember seeing a bunch of these at a local guitar store about 2006-7ish for about £700 a pop. I believe they called them 70's hendrix strats. Bet they'll be a tough one to find these days though.

  • @bomdelux Yea I've found out already, since the comment.

I bet John had a nicer model, but there's a few of these proto's that were made by a guy called dennis galuszka.

They were masterbuild models made in a series of 5 as some kind of tribute.

One could get one for around 3.500 dollars i think? not sure.

  • Yes this is SOOO SRV style :D But that's no issue! SRV was the king of blues anyway. John Mayer is just the wannabe in my eyes ^^ John Mayer for president.

    Btw. that drummer is kickass!

  • dude.. SRV reincarnate.. with a twist of course

  • Whoa! oooh, yea. This is fabulous. 10* great post by a humbleperspective!

  • How did I miss this one? Awesome. Going into favorites immediately. I have to say it. Wearing suits and ties for a concert performance is a turn-on for women.

  • @PinkPrism008 takes notes

  • @PinkPrism008 And that Strat and solo is a turn-on for men. No homo.
