  • Thank you, Jurek, she is grate

  • Thanks very much for this delicious tango! I had no idea that there is a French version of it too.

  • Total different - but interesting ! Now you have both records, lucky Man !!

  • Call me...happpy !

    :)

  • If you are happy, I am happy too, and then we both are happy !! Isn't that nice ?

  • This is such a lovely, and sensual arrangement with just Full String section, accordian, Vibraphone and Piano. Of course Damia's "voce" is sensitive, passionate and perfect for this beautiful song.

  • Jurek46pink, Cudowny (I hope I got that right!) Very sultry. Regards, J.

  • Correct...!

    Merci / Gracias / Thanks...;-)

  • it went nice thank you:)yes i listen to damia...i dont know many things from that kind of music but i like...sorry for my english....are u greek..?

  • I am Polish.

Love Rodos. And love singing Dimitra Galani - Greek Damia (in some way...).

  • hehe...and how u knew that i spoke greek...?:P

  • You did not speak, you did write...:-)

How was your laboratory and mechanical drawing, then ?...:-)

By the way - did you listen to Damia ?...

  • Sorry - I do not know Greek...:-(

  • κοκορικο

  • Thank you for this film. I hope you like my English homage

  • I am pleased...:-)

  • And I am happy every time I meet you here.

  • This interpretation is outstandingly refined yet so natural, and I second the remark this rendition sounds very modern (stylewise I mean, not just the recording quality), it's 20 years ahead of its time.

  • This phenomenon I found in a few interpretations of hers, now having prepared this 'repertoire'. And it encoureged me to return to her again and again; as well as opinions which I am finding here. Thanks.

  • Of course you'll still have some very fine surprises presenting us her songs. I second dzheger's remark that the pure voice and style make this performance pretty timeless!

  • And I am not far from this reception. To the voice and style I would only add...feeling...soul...- in this interpretation.

  • good recording quelity for a 1935 recording. What's

    the title of the chanson?

  • Thank you. The title is presented just in the first line of text in the video (when it starts) .

  • Her voice was very interesing and beautiful!

  • Straightforward voice and style that make it sound to me like of a later period than 1935. Thanks.

  • True art usually seems to be a bit contemporary; regardless her(!) age.

  • And it still is (!) a tango, whereas the fact of crossing Atlantic - whatever rendition known to me - changes that base immediately. Americans had a trouble with absorbing it in its natural form.

  • True. Being a tango anchors it in that period, but it is the unaffected, pure voice and style that make it sound ageless.
