  • I don't see how people can dislike this. D:

    Kawaii nee~

  • Cute nina...

  • Nina is surely a daddy's girl. I hope she will grow up to be a very beautiful, nice young girl who loves his daddy on top of everything in the world because I am sure that Nina is his father's world. It's obvious :)

  • The photos are BEAUTIFUL. A family of artists.

  • ping pong yes? im a stranger , with candy

    what type of candy?

  • Hallo Nina...comes (again with another vids)next time...

    XOXO (^^,).b

  • i think nina need 'friends'.... :)

  • i'm so making videos like these when i have my own kids somewhere in the future!!!! hahaha, keep up the good work (with Nina and the vids!) :D

  • "That's my girl!" papa said proudly. :)

impressed with nina's imagination, especially on the letter from Juri. hehe she even hold it out and pretend to read, lol, nina, nina never fail to make me happy!

  • piyaniya! cutee!!! LOL

  • Nina vs Maru (the cat) ---- Who will win the battle of the boxes?

  • Such a clever girl! Watch out for strange men and land sharks, I still don't open my door for those kinds of guests!

  • @fluffsnuff Me either.

  • so cute! i can't stop watching nina videos, they're all wonderful :)

  • you improve Nina's box the second time ^^

  • From Thailand

    I love Nina. ^^

  • how are your pictures such great quality and your daughter so cute!

  • @GOin4jaPAN1 Good camera and good genes. ha ha

  • @geofg lol! Im fourteen and looking to visit japan in college, have a year of college there also and then live there. Do you know anything i should do before hand or anything i should prepare for? I have taught myself some japanese but nothing close to what i should know. I love all of your videos there amazing dont stop making them!

  • @GOin4jaPAN1 Wow, you're pretty set on doing the Japan thing. I think if you can do a year of college in Japan, that is probably the best way to start. You'll get a feel for the country and it will be much easier to study Japanese while you're living here. Then, you can decide after that if you really want to live here or not.

  • @geofg ty for the advice it really helped me to stay motivated and set. i will do what you say as long as you keep making videos!(;

  • @GOin4jaPAN1 ha ha

  • マイフェバリット動画です。

    話は変わりますが、パパにお願いが。

「Bob Dylan meets Leo Kottke - Funny! 」

    ギタリストのレオ・コッケがディランについて語ってますが、

    内容がさっぱりわかりません。

    簡単に要点を教えてもらえませんか?

「MASH SF AUSTIN WITH LANCE ARMSTRONG 」

  • @ZatyFish Thanks, again. Good luck to you in finding a good man and making a wonderful family of your own!

  • oh my god, Mr. geofg, nina is sooooo brilliant to differentiate who can be invited inside and safe to talk with and who is not.. you teach her way3 so gooddd.. what a great papa you are, adorable daughter for an adorable papa i guess ;)

  • @ZatyFish Thanks so much! Parenting feels easy with Nina, because she always tries to communicate her feelings, so all I have to do is listen to her.

  • We all love NINAAA! :D This is my favorite video yet, so kawaii :)

  • aww my niece is like her too! :) when we bought a new tv set, she was more interested in the box than the tv lol.

and great pictures by the way! you're a good photographer! what camera do you use, if you don't mind?

  • @kanamechidori Yeah, big boxes are a good thing for a kid.

Thanks! I use a Canon Eos Rebel.

  • aww my niece is like her too! :) when we bought a new tv set, she was more interested in the box than the tv lol.

and great pictures by the way! you're a good photographer! what camera do you use, if you don't mind?

  • Ahh, i wanna live in a cardboard box.. :(

Note to self: Gotta make my own cardboard box.

BTW, i was looking at the pictures and Nina is VERRYYYY adorable. :) She's very beautiful too. Goodluck Nina <3

  • Hello,again.

My daughuter had been doing the same thing.

Nina-chan speaks perfectly speaks English and Japanese.

  • @markxtommy Cardboard houses are great!

  • i love nina.. kawaii...

  • i absolutely adore nina. i hope one day i have a daughter just like her. she seems so smart!

  • Only if I had one BIG BIG box I could make a house like Nina.. xD haha.

  • That little girl must bring so much joy into your lives. She's such a sweet child, already making me smile. n_n

  • it saddens me that some day nina will be too old for all of this, and then we won't see her anymore.

  • Yeah, I think it will run its course eventually, unless Nina decides she wants to become a vlogger and do it herself one day.

  • Nina.. i love the way you said "piyaniya" haha oh, btw Pooh-san is my favourite too :)

  • she is just so ADORABLE!!! :)

And she seemed to be growing up in a very loving family with parents who will take time to spend quality time with her. Well done geofg !

  • Thank you!

  • hahahahaha, henna ojisan!... SAYONARAAA.

  • *this

  • Oh dear... Pooh- san looks kinda' worn out in these video. Hahaha... Merry Christmas!!!

  • Pooh-san is Nina's favorite. She sleeps with him, carries him around everywhere, so I guess the wear and tear is showing. Ha ha.

  • cute.. :)

  • Ah, another nice video of your daughter :)

I used to play boxes like her too when I was little, it was fun I must admit..haha

Oh, you're great at taking videos ~

  • she's just adorable and growing so fast :)

hehe i love it when she says "Goodbye" to the stranger hehe she's well taught

hehe "Piyaniya" it's a cuter word of Piranha!!

  • Ha ha. Yeah, I didn't understand what she meant at first when she said piyaniya.

  • This was the cutest video ever! ^___^

    I smiled all the time...

You know, now that Christmas is approaching, I hear a lot of boys and girls asking for videogames and that's just the opposite of enjoying a cardboard box with your family...the power of fantasy it's beautiful!!

By the way, when she say no to the "stranger man" and you go "that's my girl" it was sort of moving.

Wish all the best to your family and -as usual- GREETINGS FROM ITALY -_^

  • Thanks! I always appreciate your comments. And, I agree, as long as Nina can enjoy playing with a cardboard box, and not just want to play video games all day, we will be happy.

  • Uber cute... Mr. Geofg, you're so blessed!!!

  • hello little Nina

I'm your fan of, I would ask for you a video

    singing a song in Japanese.

Japanese masters the music and you must sing very well.

    thanks.

  • OK, if Niina learns a Japanese song, I will make a video of it!

  • aww ^__^ she'z so adorable..ur a lucky parent :3!! 5/5

  • I just watched some of the kawaii little girl Nina's videos! How gorgeous she is...I wish I could have a little sister just like her.. Nina, keep exploring the world and your life with smile! what a happy family... :)

  • Thanks for watching and leaving a nice comment!

  • Nina is growing up so fast. Showing how capable and independent she is, living alone :).

Mr. Geoff, your photo's are so good, they always seem to tell a story, which is amazing. If you ever think of a career switch;).

  • Thanks! I don't think there would be much money in photography, but I'm happy just doing as a hobby. It's enough for me if people like you appreciate my photos.

  • she is so lovely...i wanna give 5 stars..but mistakely i only pressed 2...10 stars for nina

  • Ha ha. No problem! And, thanks!

  • mabuhay! geoff i forgot to tell you can i see the new bed of nina? :D if that is ok with you im just to curios hows thelook of it hehehe thanks geoff..nina chan kawaii :* take care!

  • OK, if I have a chance, I'll make a vid of Nina talking about her new bed.

  • She's too cute. And it's a good thing she doesn't answer the door to strangers. Smart cookie, that Nina.

  • you take the best pictures!

    so cute :)

  • wooww.. nice box house nina..

it reminds me of my own box house when i was a little girl..

i use it until the box was broken.. ha ha ha LOL..

Thanks again 4 sharing the video mr.geofg..

    big hug 4 nina.. ^__^

  • How did your box house finally break?

  • maybe because it's overused, my box ripped.. ha ha ha..

  • Why do we buy little children gifts when a cardboard box is so much more fun. I got the landshark reference, and it made me chuckle. I guess I should not be surprised that so few of your viewers got it. Now I feel old. By the way did you know Paul McCartney was in another band before Wings? By the way. You got over 2200 views. There is a lot of love for Nina.

  • Ha ha. You mean that band with three other dudes with similar haircuts called the Buggles or something like that? ; )

I don't see guys like us as old so much as just seasoned.

  • Very cute :)

    "I'm a strange man" hahaha

  • She is so adorable! Did you have thanksgiving there? Anyway, have a good week ahead!

  • Actually, we didn't do anything special for Thanksgiving here. I guess I need to start introducing more Western cultural events to Nina soon.

  • oohh.. so cute..

  • So cute!!! It's amazing how the cuteness of something is amplified when you put it in a box XD I loved boxes as a kid and liked to make scary box mazes for Halloween.

Nina is so precious, such good manners and so smart! The pictures at the end were lovely. Happy Thanksgiving to you and you family Geof :D

  • Ha ha! I agree! Cute things (puppies, kittens, kids chocolates...) are even cuter in a box. The box mazes are a good idea. We'll have to try that one some day. It's amazing how much I had forgotten about how I used to paly as a child, but through Nina's eyes, it is coming back to me.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

  • love it geoff! its my 3 times to watch this video but i post a comment now lol. ive seen your pictures in pbase..love it and i can say geoff your good in photography.. i bow to you..hehehe keep up the good work and nina grew faster, so nina has a new bed? hehehe its nice to know you buy her already hahahaha..love you nina :* regards to your wife akiko,,

  • Thanks! Since Nina was born, I have taken LOTS of photos of her so maybe my photographic techniqua has gotten a bit better.

And, yes, Nina loves her new bed!

  • ★★★★★

  • you have a great family

    good for you

  • I love that kid so much! She just gets cuter and cuter! :D

Ya know, just because you don't know someone, a "stranger", does not mean that person is evil! I like what Kermit said in his movie - "a stranger is just a friend you haven't met yet". :D I think "stranger danger" is blown way out of proportion. It makes for many unnecessary awkward situations between a child and someone they don't know. Stranger danger makes enemies out of possible friends! :O

    ~Cindy!

    ..

  • Yeah, it's a tough balance. I'm sure 98% of the people Nina might encounter are well-intentioned, friendly people, but as a father, the idea that she might run into someone from the other 2% is just too horrifying to contemplate. So, we have to make general rules like she should never go anywhere with a stranger etc. On the other hand, I'm all for her meeting lots of people and making new friends in a safe environment.

  • Haha,so cute.

If you never had your own box house when you where little you missed out! =P

  • XD Aww that's a cute way to teach your kids about strange men, too!

  • It was from an old (early '80s?) Saturday Night Live skit. An alien is trying to gain entry into a house and keeps posing as different people to try to persuade the house owner to let him in. One of the options he tries is saying he is a "Land Shark".

  • soooo adorable! can't wait for your next post geofg :)

  • Ohh why November 2007 is written at the end?

Eniweys, Nina is really pretty girl..

  • Yeah, I made a mistake with the date.

  • she just gets more and more beautiful!

  • Nina is such a sweetie! :)The pictures of Nina are so pretty!! She's getting so big! What type of camera do you have?

  • I use a Canon Rebel Digital SKR

  • SLR

  • I was born in 76 but I still know the Land Shark. hehe

  • 1985 here, and I cracked up at the Land Shark part too lol.

  • The land shark reference comes from a Saturday Night Live episode from the early '80s. You could probably search "land shark" on YT and find it.

  • Yeah I was exposed to early SNL when I was a kid by my parents.

    "Candygram"

  • That's right, candygram! Your parents gave you a good upbringing! Ha ha.

  • "Back in my day, we didn't have club houses...we played in a box!"

    xD

  • Pooh-san! <3

  • i've noticed she speaks to you in english but to her mama in Japanese!

i can never get enough of Nina videos. thank you for sharing with us! :)

  • Yeah, I guess since I always use English with her and her mother speaks Japanese with her, it is natural for her to respond to both of us in our native languages, though she still uses Japanese with me if it's something she doesn't know how to say in English.

  • Nina's adorable! Her English structures are getting better too! Way to go, Nina! :)

  • Listen to that English!!! She's really starting to pick it up! This is probably my favorite video so far, it's so much fun watching Nina grow up! Thank you for posting these!!!

  • I think you have to be pretty old to know where the landshark reference comes from. Ha ha.

  • Nice tune choice!

So wise Nina! To not let stangers in.

  • Haha Nina must like Koalas just like I do.

I thought it was funny what she said to the "strange man" Smart girl you have there.

  • ow, and.. u are a really good photographer toooo..! i like your photosss! keep it up! =) make a blog of it.. I'll definitely subscribe it.. =)

    have a good day! =)

  • I don't have time to make a blog, but I do have a site that I use for just photos called pbase. My user name there is geofg if you want to check it out.

  • cute...! but btw.. isn't it suppose to be November 2009 instead of November 2007? =)

  • Yes, yes, 2009! Oops.

  • nina-chan's english is getting so much better! her pronunciation and everything!

    good job sir!

  • xDD

Oh gosh, I remember when I went through my box house days. I'd love to go back again

  • Just go find a box! It's not too late!

  • Some videos, you just know you need to 5 star less than 5 seconds in.

  • Ha ha. Thanks!

  • Haha.. Awesome :) I never had a play house like this.. But I made forts and such so same concept yeah :) Blankets over a bunch of chairs and random other objects I could get a hold of haha :P Childhood memories.. Thanks for the flashbacks ;)

  • Blankets over chairs is another of Nina's favorites.

  • i'm a strange man

    oh sorry goodbye

that was so cute and good job nina

    no talking with strange people

  • Nina is adorable!!!!!

    Ladybugs! lol!

  • Eh..? where did my old comment go? =O

anyways, cute video, and great parenting (=

  • ニーナはいつもかわいいですね

    2007って?。。。間違っているんだね

  • はい、間違えです。今回の編集は早すぎたかな。

  • nice pictures

  • Wow, her English is getting so much better!

  • I had a 段ボールハウス when I was at Nina's age too. It was the box for our new fridge and even bigger than Nina's. My father also put a window and even put some wall papers around the box. I got to keep it for about a month and I invited many of my friends to my "new house". I was so sad when I had to get rid of it. 手品の箱とか段ボールハウスとか、ニーナの動画を見ると、忘れていた子供の頃の思い出が蘇ります。ありがとう :o)

  • Wallpaper! Wow, that's a pretty deluxe cardboard house. Our refrigerator is getting pretty old, so maybe Nina will get a refrigerator sized house next.

    僕でもニーナにいろんな子供の頃の遊び方を思いさせられる。それは子供と一緒に遊ぶいいポイントの一つですね。

  • 0:59-1:02 good Girl ^^

  • great English nina~ ^^

  • everything was fun,but no to a strange man was important!

  • ピンポン。。。。 ニナさんは いらしゃいますか。

    しゅんたかしです。

    ごめんください。。。。(will give me a hug?) O_O;;

    *手をふりだしています。。が。。*

    (waiting for her reply, ^_^)

  • I really love your family, Nina is a beautiful child and I think that you're great parents!

  • ehhhhh November 2007?!? ha ha, Geofg as always, absolutely lovely. Watching your videos makes my days so much brighter, & I'm proud of Nina-chan for staying away from strange men... ww! Arigatou~

  • Yeah, I fell into a time warp somehow. Maybe I just don't want Nina to grow up too fast. How can it be 2009 and Nina be four already?!

  • Eh, I know the feeling.not nearly as much as you of course but my, how Nina-chan grows! It's funny, I was at uni and as I was sipping on my latte from Starbucks I stopped and noticed that the cup had little holiday quotes, one of which read, "I wish grown ups could remember being kids." & I was couldn't help but reflect on your relationship with Nina-chan... Granted she could have fun by herself, with that huge imagination of hers, but obviously a ladybug/koala couldn't ring the doorbell~ ;D

  • it's your fault for waiting till your 40's to have kids, I'm only 28 but I'm well aware how time speeds up the older you get.

  • Her english seems to be getting pretty good!

  • 2:54

    2007?

    :D

  • Was this video taken two years ago, or was "2007" just a typo?

  • Typo! 2009! Oops.

  • oh the joy of fitting inside a cardbox...the joys and memories!!

  • You inspire me, make me look forward to having a kid on my own. Me and my girl have thoughts on moving to Japan in the future (she's half japanese) so I hope we'll be able to become as fortunate as you. Nina is awesome! :)

I hope you enjoy your life as a father there!

    Good luck with everything! :)

  • Thanks! I definitely recommend parenthood when the time feels right.

  • NINA-chan

    DAISUKI!!!! :)

    KAWAII

  • Another absolutely adorable Nina video. I remember my childhood days of playing with cardboard boxes, imaginations at it's best... Oh wait, I do recall spending an entire day at work playing with a giant box a few months ago... Hahaha old habits die hard i guess, though i hope to imagine i'll still be just as imaginative when I'm seventy. Nina as well.

  • Having kids is a good way to remember those simple joys. I had a cardboard airplane as a kid, but had completely forgotten about it.

  • I'm sort of jealous at (jealous of?) Nina because of her beautiful house-box =)

'That's my girl' hahaa! Intelligent Nina =3

  • Yay! I see you got her the new bed =] She must be happy!!! I remember when i was little and my parents bought a new refrigerator. We were playing with that box for a week.

  • Yes, she loves her new bed, but I think she's not used to the bigger size. She always ends up sleeping in one tiny corner of the bed.

  • Too cute!

Will there be another round of renovation? (she needs window handles as well)

  • Yes, I think a renovation may be in the works.

  • A nice Nina-movie yet again :-) She's a véry special girl!

Geof, may I ask you what camera you use, as you always make the prettiest pictures!

  • Thanks! I use a Canon Rebel Digital SLR with a 24-70 EF lens.

  • haha what fun :D Awesome photos!

  • Geofg, you take great pictures. 1TB, my friend...don't forget.

    J

  • OK. I'll have to convince my wife that we need another hard drive (I have a 300 GB HD now), but I hear the 1 TB ones are not so expensive.

  • probably you made a mistake.

In the end of the video there is an inscription which says November 2007.

    btw cute paper house.

  • Yes, I lost two years somehow! 2009!

  • Haha! I use to do that when i was little. Except my box is BIGGER! My brother and I begged my dad to put it in our room and both of us sleep in it! So embrassing to even think abt it. We have windows too!

  • Nina wanted to sleep in her box, too.

  • aww.. I miss the good old days when you could have that much fun with nothing than a box with some holes in it (and some nice parents too, ofc).

    はい?

    変なおじさんです。

    あ~ごめんなさい。さよなら。

    good job, Nina! (=

  • Yeah, I was just about to break that box down for recycling when Nina said she wanted it. I used to make cardboard airplanes as a kid, but had completely forgotten how much fun cardboard can be.

  • "Oh! The mail is here!" Wow! she has your accent now!

I loved her expression and voice when she responded to koalachan and ladybug. Kawaii naaa!

    such a sweet video! (^_^)v

  • Ha ha. I'm not sure it's my accent. I think she might have heard Steve from "Blue's Clues" say that. He's a native English speaker too, though, so that's fine.

  • Nina is such an intelligent and sweet girl! totemo kawaii!!

  • aww nina.. i like when she rejected the strange man..! great parenting!

  • Adorable!!!
