  • I got saved at 12 yrs. old. My pastor died; the church split; I have searched, but can't find a church in my city that still preaches standards of holiness. I'm so frustrated with these 21st century preachers pushing prosperity. I'm sick of people coming to church dressed like the world. They have no reverence for God. Women come dressed like hookers. Young men wear their pants to their behinds. They don't even sing Zion's songs anymore. They sing hip hop now. God is grieved. Pray, Saints!

  • @Duchezz1 : Creflo "ALMIGHTY" Dollar is one of the main people pushing this prosperity mess.

    I needed 2 hear this!!!!!

  • this message needs to be heard

  • brother Herman murray looks like he love to preach

  • Develop an appetite? We was born with an appetite to sin in the first place. for all have sin. when we are saved we show fruits of repentance, and people will see the fruits in us they never saw before. if anything its a sign that God did it because we could never do it our self! its called Grace. Thanks God for Jesus.

  • is all the hissing necessary tho?

  • i love it when men of God preach with power. it does my heart good.

  • And Soul

  • christopherwalkins, laidbackent is right the Holy Spirit will not abide in a body "Temple" that sins, thats why you present your bodies a living sacrifice ,holy and exceptible...You can live sin free man .(read Romans chapter 6) and GOD bless you all

  • Tight but it's right!

  • You said it all fam. Be blessed!!!!!!!!!

  • "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." -Romans 4:5

The whole book of Corinthians is proof that believers caught up in drunkeness and fornication are only backslidden babes in Christ but they are still saved. Paul even gave them a nicer greeting than he did the Legalizer Galatians.

"Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou SHALT be saved..." Acts 16:31

Also see Romans 10:9. How much clearer can it get?

  • Come on man, don't be that stupid to think that you can live in sin and still be saved. Read Romans 6 my brother.

  • It's true. You can but God doesn't approve of it and the Holy Spirit will convict you until you repent. Keep in mind that Romans 6 is speaking about saints- people who are saved. When you trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation, you are SEALED WITH the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption (Eph. 4:30). For you to say that believers can break that seal is to say that Satan holds the keys to Hell and not God. Not true. We are saved if we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.

  • Brother you clearly lack understanding of the Word. You can't be a sinner and be sealed with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is for the saints. If you keep reading into chapter 5 you will see where its says let no fornication & or uncleaness be named among any of you.

  • Then it goes on to say that no whoremonger or unclean person(sinner) will inhereit the kingdom of God(heaven). I don't know what church you attend and who's your pastor, but if what you been saying is what you are being taught there, RUN..RUN..RUN for your life. Your soul is on the line brother. The only way to make it in is living a clean, holy life.

  • Yes but Paul also said "and such WERE some of you, but ye have been washed, ye have been sanctified, ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus..." Why would Paul say and such WERE some of you (fornicators, drunks, etc.) if fornication and drunkeness was COMMONLY named upon them? Paul did not EVEN suggest that the carnal corinthians were not saved. Salvation is a free gift. It is unbiblical and self-righteous for you to say that u can earn it. That's the same crap muslims teach.

  • That's the key word "WERE", that indicates the past, The word "BUT" begins the new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says and I quote. "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away ; behold , all things are become new". So the fact that you believe that you can freely live a sinful life and be saved is against the Word.

  • But why would the Apostle Paul say such WERE some of you if they STILL were involved in those sins? Because it wasn't the Corinthians who were commiting the sins but sin that dwelleth in them. The Apostle Paul went through the same thing in Romans 7. He said it is no longer I but sin that dwelleth in me (Romans 7:17). Even the Apostle Paul struggled with sin so don't think you are any different. The Apostle Pauls is the greatest Christian to ever walk this Earth and even he struggled with sin.

  • Paul is talking about the struggle when man walks in carnality(flesh) rather than walking in the spirit. If you keep reading to Chapter 8, he talks about how Christ made him free from the law of sin and death which he was talking about in chapter 7. Don't just read one part, read it all. That's how weak preachers mess up the church. Only reading what justifies their rotten behaviors.

  • You are right. That is what Paul is speaking about. He is speaking about his experience, AS A SAINT, walking in the flesh. Is it a good thing? No. But does it mean that if a believer walks in the flesh, he is not saved? No. Saved flesh is not better than unsaved flesh and no Christian walks in the Spirit 100% of the time. Now, will you please answer my question: do you sin?

  • no..there is no such thing as a saint who is holy ghost filled that sins.

  • Jesus said in John 8:34, whoever commiteth sin is the servant of sin(satan). So are you telling me you going to heaven and you are the servent of the devil.

  • 1 John 3:8 KJV

He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested , that he might destroy the works of the devil.

    1 John 3:9 KJV

Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin , because he is born of God

  • Those verses are pertaining to the "new man". We still have the old man and we still sin. "If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." -1 John 1:8. As believers we have two natures: the "old man" and the "new man". God is not the author of confusion (1 Corinthians 14:33). We must rightly divide the Word of Truth in order for it to make sense and quite frankly, you are not making sense. Of course you still sin. Do you get angry with people? That's a sin.

  • I have given you plenty of scriptures to hold you accountable before God. When you stand before God on judgement day & he sends you to hell. Don't say you didn't know. For the record I didn't say I have never sinned, but since I got really serious about living a Holy Life, I haven't sinned. I used to use them same excuses for justifying why I sinned. No more, God is calling for a clean church without spot or blemish. Jesus was the example for us to let us know we could be sinless.

  • No, you haven't given me any scripture to back up your claims. That's the problem.

  • Jesus is the ONLY one to have lived a sinless life. You are not Jesus. Therefore, you are not without sin.

  • Getting angry is not a sin..you are truly Dumb when it comes to the word..the bible says in Ephesians 4:26" be angry but sin not, let not the sun go down on your wrath". Those who are saved are the " new man" . What don't you understand about that. I'm done debating about this, it's obvious you go to a church where your pastor and everyone is out sinning, and yall use a couple of scriptures to justify it. You all going to hell if you don't repent and get Holy.

  • So a Holy person calls another brother in Christ dumb? Sounds prideful and slanderous to me. Nothing holy about that. You need to examine yourself and see where your faith is. Is it in yourself or is it in Christ for salvation? If you are relying on your own "holiness" then your faith is not in the FINISHED work of Jesus Christ.

  • Let's get one thing straight. You aren't my brother in Christ. Because a brother in Christ will believe that God can keep them. I'm not relying on anything but the Holy Ghost to lead & guide my every step. If I relied on me, I would be in big trouble. Let me ask you this then I'm done. How can you say that God is in you, and at the same time say you sin. That would be a waste of time to serve a God that can't keep you.

  • How can I say that God is in me but still sin? Because I am not God!

  • I tell you why..you are a sinner..I've given you several verses to let you know God doesn't tolerate sin. You just don't want to hear them cause it will condemn your lifestyle. You keep talking about believing on him. NEWS FLASH..YOU ARE NOT A BELIEVER. YOU PRACTICE SIN..YOU ARE A SINNER. Point blank..cut & dry. Sinners sin..Saints don't..bottom line.

  • Dude, you don't even know me. Are you serious? Think before you speak, my friend. We all sin. Even saints. Just because saints sin does not mean God sees them as sinners. When we sin it isn't US but sin that dwells in us (Romans 7:17). There are too many verses that say that suggest that we are saved by GRACE through FAITH alone and not by "making sure you live a holy life" otherwise it wouldn't be Grace. All are capable of commiting sin because we all have a sinful (adamic) nature!

  • Once again he is talking about depending on living by the flesh & not by the Spirit. I'm done with you. You keep on sinning, and find yourself right in HELL.

  • According to you, you're going to hell too because you just lied. You said "im done" about 3 times and yet you kept speaking to me. According to you, ur not a believer because you just lied...you sinned.

  • One last thing. That's what FASTING & PRAYING is for..to build up your spiritual man to fight off Satan when he tries and get you to sin. Everyone has desires that are not of God, cause we still have to deal with our flesh. Paul said there is no good thing in my flesh. That don't mean you have to give in to the desires of your flesh. That's why the Holy Ghost is there, to be a keeper, to guide you and lead you.

  • You are right. We don't HAVE to sin but if we do, we have an advocate with the Father (1 John 2:1). What you are wrong about is that if Christians sin, then we are condemned to Hell. That is not true.

  • "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." -Romans 8:38-39

  • "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." -Ephesians 4:30. Notice it says we are SEALED with the Holy Spirit. It also says we can GRIEVE the Holy Spirit (by sinning) but it does NOT say He will leave us or cast us out. It says we are SEALED by the Holy Spirit unto the day of redemption! What a blessed truth that is, my friend.

  • man you are so mixed up sir the bible simply states that if you commit sin you are of the devil (1 jn 3:8). Also it says, for the wages of sin is death (rom. 6:23) then paul said in galatians 2:17-18 but if while we seek to be justified Christ we ourselves are also found sinners is therefore Christ the minister of sin? GOD FORBID. For if i build again the things which i destroyed i make myself a transgressor. in other words you are no longer saved you are a sinner

  • 1 John 3:8 is refering to our "old man". Our old man is not destroyed when we are saved for every Christian is still capable of commiting sin if tempted hard enough. There is a difference between our WALK and our STANDING. The Bible tells us to "walk by faith". It is by FAITH in our standing (which is always perfect because it depends on what God has done for us) that helps us live like saints. It is Jesus that paid our debt. We cannot add to the sacrifice and it is actually forbidden!

  • if you sin God does not see you as a saint. In his eyes youare a sinner, and if you sin you will not enter in the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest adultery, fornication, uncleanness( that word covers all sin) 21.....as i have also told you in time past that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. the bible says if any man be in christ he is a new creature (2 cor. 5:17)you can not be a saint and sin and like i said gal. 2:17-18

  • Then why did Paul call those carnal Corinthians saints regardless of their drunkeness and fornication? 1 Corinthians 5:5 is proof that Christians who fall into sin are still saved. You need to rightly divide scripture as the Apostle Paul commanded us to do in order for it to make sense. If you, dont it will only result in confusion and God is not the author of confusion. Galatians 5:21 is referring to rewards not salvation.

  • and in Galations 5:21 he is talking about heaven (i.e. the kingdom of God) which if you commit sin you will not inherit, the word of God says he is coming back for a church WITHOUT spot blemish or wrinkle

  • I guess you are gonna burn in hell then because you sin every day

  • Comment removed

  • Nope. He was God in the Flesh. He lived a perfect sinless life and therefore He is a perfect sacrifice for our sins which is why we must trust in Him alone for our salvation. The Apostle Paul has spelled it out very plainly "but to him that WORKETH NOT but believeth on Him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

Also, see 1 John 5:1 "he that believeth that Jesus is the Christ IS begotten of God."

  • YOU ARE WRONG!

  • what am i wrong about?

  • romans 6:1 what shall we say then shall we continue in sin that grace may abound ? 2 God forbid. how shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therin?

  • Reas the next verse 1 Cor. 6:11 "and such WERE some of you..."

Why would Paul say and such WERE some of you if they STILL WERE committing fornication and drukeness?

It wasn't THEM that were doing it but sin that dwelleth in them just as the Apostle Paul described his struggle with sin in Romans 7:17.

  • Gal. 2:17-18 my friend if you sin you are no longer a saint you have became a sinner says Paul look up the word transgressor

  • Well Jesus was an example for how we are supposed to live Jesus said be ye perfect even as your father which is in heaven is perfect (matt:5:48) even Jesus said you gotta live perfect and then in Jn 8:34 Verily (truly), I say unto you whosoever committeth sin is the servant of sin. 35 and the servant abideth not in the house..

  • So you think that Jesus came so we can study His life and make some adjustments in our own? LOL. Sir, you really need to study.

  • who do you think paul studied?

  • Wow. I don't know what church you go to or where you get your doctrine but it is WAY off.

The Gospel Paul preached is NOT the same Gospel as the Kingdom Gospel preached to Israel during Jesus' earthly ministry. The Gospel Paul preached was of Jesus Christ AFTER His death and ressurection. How you say that it is the same gospel preached during Jesus' earhtly ministry, I dont know. Paul preached the good news of God's grace and Jesus preached the KINGDOM gospel. two different dispensations.

  • It is only one gospel both Jesus and Paul preached "Repent". Im finished you dont even have scriptures anymore and you avoided. I am a Faithful member of FULL GOSPEL HOLY TEMPLE

  • "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" - Acts 16:31. Doesn't say nothing about keeping a life with repentance although, it is impossible for someone to trust Christ as Saviour without repenting or "changing ones mind" about sin. Under the apostolic authority of the apostle paul in this age of grace (Eph. 3:2), we are justified by Grace through faith (Eph. 2:8,9).

  • "Whosoever BELIEVETH that Jesus is the Christ IS born of God..." 1 John 5:1

"BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved..." Acts 16:31

"He that BELIEVETH on Him is not condemned..." John 3:18

"If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt BELIEVE in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." -Romans 10:9

    Need I go on?

  • You still have to live a Holy Life after professing your salvation...Like I said you have no understanding of the word, but you have been warned of your error. I've done all I can.

  • You tell me I have no understanding yet you give me nothing to back up your claims. "But to him the WORKETH NOT but believeth on Him that justifieth the UNGODLY, his FAITH is counted for righteousness." -Romans 4:5. That verse alone destroys your false doctrine.

  • It sounds like your church preaches legalism. Paul felt more strongly towards the legalizing galatians than he did toward the carnal corinthians. He gave the carnal corinthians a much nicer greeting than he did the Galatians who were involved in LEGALISM.

  • LOL I LOVE IT @ 3:52 "THAT YOU'RE HUNGRY FOR!" Preach Dr. Murray!

  • 2 Timothy 4

    1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

  • Second Corinthians 5:19 says,

"To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation"

Not condemnation..The Gospel is good news..being beat upside the head sunday after sunday is not Good News..Lord help us to trust in Your Righteousness in Christ Jesus and Not our own..Salvation is free saints..The work "is Finished" , rest secure in your savior and rejoice forevermore

  • Amen, brother, AMEN!

  • Amen to that! It's amazing how many people twist the Gospel and somehow manage to turn it into legalism when that is the very thing that Paul preaches against.

  • It's not legalism, it's HOLINESS. 1 Peter 1:15-16 says He that has called you is Holy so be Holy in all manner of conversation.

  • Because it is written, be ye Holy for I am Holy.

  • Did I say that saved people can freely live a sinful life? No. I said that believers will be convicted by the Holy Spirit so they will not be able to live comfortably in sin. The Bible also says that God CHASTENS those whom He loves (Hebrews 12:6). So when a Christian sins, two things are true: He will be chastened by God just as a father chastens his son. Also, since we have a new nature, the Christian does not LOVE sin but rather hates it. It is not our own righteousness by which we are saved.

  • BULLETIN..BULLETIN..A true believer is one who is saved. A true Christian doesn't sin. The bible says he is able to keep you from falling. And yes you did say that a saved person can live in sin, you need to look at your previous posts. And do you know what the word "WERE" means? It's a past subjective. Meaning it's talking about the past. Once again when you become saved you become new, Old things(sin) are gone. You have to walk in the newness of life.

  • Very true.

  • these messages are not preached no more. cause preachers, these days only think about the word of prosperity, not santification keep preaching minister.

  • I love Herman Murray

  • That Man of God is annointed. This is a topic that not many preachers want to touch..but it is necessary for saints to hear this in order to be mindful of how to effectively witness. Galatians 6:1

    Isreal Scott Bethesda FGHT
