Oh wow, what sort of intellectually retarded universe must you live in where six thumbs up equals "quite a few"? Yeah, so there are six other assholes who are jealous of the United States. Big deal. We Americans don't give other countries a second thought. We're too busy being the most powerful empire in the history of humanity. Sorry that rubs you the wrong way but that's just the way it is. Deal with it.
I like it good job, not trying to be a jerk or anything but your voice doesnt quite fit the mood is the onlly thing. You got some of your lines from the game intro?
This is such bullshit, Novgorod? Novgorod didnt even fight much, Lithuanians did most of the fighting against Teutonic Knights. And whoever wants to say shit like "Alot of belorussians were also there Legolasas26". Belorussians were considered Lithuanians in those times, and most Belorussians can trace theyre ancestry back to Lithuanians. Not being bias to the Poles , Poles fought Teutonics too, but those snakes stole the Lithuanian crown so the Lithuanians wouldnt become a superpower.
@Legolasas26 Don't flatter your nation too much. Teutons got to Lithuania only after Prussians and ancient Latvians had weakened them. We fought together in The Battle of Saule.. Semigallians alongside Lithuanians and we owned the Teutons back then. Also the last Semigallian chief went to assist Prussians and Lithuanians to fight against order in Prussia after he had lost his hope to take back North Semigallia.
"One thing is for certain, when different faiths meet, war breaks out!"
You must be either extremely naïve or spreading some kind of leftist ideology.
The allied forces fighting against Teutonic Order at Grunwald (Tannenberg) consisted of Christian Poles, pagan Lithuanians, Ortodox Rutherians, Hussite Czechs and even Muslim Tartars. The cause of war was purely political and economical as it always is. Faith can only serve as a convenient pretext.
Yes, they did but it was very fresh conversion-1387 latin baptism of Jagiełło (Jagiellon)
As for wars I don't know any caused by faith. Even crusades, including the ones against katars, Prussians or Lithuanians, were not.
30 year war was not, hussite wars in Bohemia were not. Economy is the thing. Why are Americans in Iraq? Because of oil. Why are the Russians in Caucasus? For the same reason.
Why were Jews always prosecuted? Their wealth was too tempting for rulers (including Hitler).
@aldsza ????? The fact you dont really know why the USA is in Iraq makes me laugh. If it were for oil, then the entire Bush and Russian administrations would be the most powerful people on Earth. The oil fields belong to Saudi Arabian royalty, who have pushed the prices of oil up in America, Europe and elsewhere around the world. The reason russia and usa are fighting it out, is because the defense, and military contractor companies are privately owned by the leaders of both nations.
there were 3 "crusades", but actually they werent, just late age-romantism, and king Eerik wanted to spread his power to finland and stabilize his power in sveden.
@brigeboy95 Seven? Where you got that idea? @ivan55599 is absolutely right. There were three "crusades" in Finland (where I live and have studied history).
it's not true...poland and novgorod initialy were sided with crusaders and wiped out entire Baltic tribes completely...poland now is still occupied those Baltic-Lithuanian lands ~150 000 km2...they invited germans and whole west europe to kill us and they thought that those lands will be left to them...crusaders didn't think so...so polish degenerates started this genocide...and russian degenerates at the same time performed genocide on the east Balts...they together slaughtered 9/10 of Balts
Looks and sounds fantastic! Did you utilize The Northern Crusades by Prof. Eric Christiansen (Oxford University) as a secondary source text?
I also have a (scholarly) interest in the the Northern Crusades (my interest lies primarily, but not only, with Finland and Estonia), so it's nice to see information about this piece of history further disseminated in the public sphere.
Teutonic knights don't worship German gods.

Haha, oh really? Always? Shall we jot that down as an absolute rule?
Some of your facts are wrong. The Polish brought Teutonic Knights in to help them in their Crusades.
I do love the Northern Crusades, though! They were among the most successful of the Crusades.

@RealCrusadeHistory The Swedes had two crusades during this period but in Finland, is there any connection to that?
