@hunnyybebe Go to ronnie hawkins website and look at the discography section you'll see Jimmy Evans listed as bass player. There's a common misconception about my dads place in the band because he wasn't in many of the promotional pictures or album covers that's because he had returned home to take care of family and all the promotional pictures were taken during that time period. He was inducted into the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
@SuicideandHappiness ,I fully agree with you.theres nothing greater than the 50s music cause you can understand what they are saying and the sounds are great.
Excellent piece of work!! Thank you very much for Sharing!!!!!
What a way of meeting people and get to see their talent. At first was reluctant being on youtube, but getting to do this has brought me into the houses of some very special people. You are one of them. Life; isn't it wonderful!!! Keep up the good work. Have A Splendid Day!!!!

YouTube has my subscription all screwed up I am sorry until they get my Channel fixed I am unable to subscribe to you.
I recall this one fondly from my junior high school days -- late 50s. It was not on the charts very long where I lived in central PA. Does anyone know the exact vintage?
@DaddyCool1947 yup 1959,Ronnie and TheHawks went on to lip synch this on AmericanBandstand in the late summer of `59 with Ronnie doin` backflips in the studio to the single MaryLou,which went on to sell 750,000 copies with FortyDays on the Bside.
I like this song, funny thing is, I heard it in a horror movie and had to find it. So I searched and here it is!!! Great song! Thank you for posting it.
@sethapplebaum No, It was Prom Night ll or lll : "Hello Mary Lou". To me it was a really weird movie to begin with so I didn't watch it only the first few minutes Good thing is though...I found a good song.
Great music Linda. Little trivia for you. Marvin Yackowishen who Plays tenor sax with us on lots of the videos. Did a few Canadian tours with Ronnie. I'm not sure but I think he also recorded with them Cool eh
Why would they ban this song??? If that is so , the biggest majority of the rap crap out there should be banned for life!!!!!! Go Linda, find more of these good ole songs!!!
I woke up humming this. Haven't heard it for probably 30 years!

If THIS is "bannable" ... Then a huge percentage of what we hear on today's major radio stations should be banned!
