The music in 9 and 3 are really similar.... am I the only one who sees that?

wrong. every final fantasy up to 9 has a PSX version.

The exception is III, there was a planned, but cancelled, Bandai Wonderswan remake, but no re-release untill on the DS

Good thing there are many NES emulators out there. Unfortunately, all the DS ones suck.
