On the being sensitive, yes, I'm a sensitive person and I love Alexia so I am defensive when it comes to her. But hopefully I'm coming to you with valid arguments.

From listening to the audio, of course you'll have an opinion. But, if you havn't seen her live, you cannot make a fair assesment. Also, you're not seeing her acting the song, or it in the context of the show. And, if you havn't seen Willemijn Verkaik live, how can you possibly say she is "best?" You cannot use this site to judge people. You said you don't think she fits into the role. It's the casting director (s) JOB to find good people for the part. I think they know what they're doing.

You can't fully know what a performer is like in a role until you've seen them live. You just can't judge a performer by a You Tube video. I don't mind people preffering someone else's interpretation of Elphaba. It's just the comparing I don't like, there's no real need to compare performers in the same role. I agree with you about politicians, of course they don't always make right descisions.

Casting Directors. I doubt they would have got the job of casting if they couldn't do it. And, I would guess there is a LOT of money riding on this show, and they wouldn't let anyone on that stage. I would have thought they saw many talanted people. You think she was all that was on offer? far from it. And they asked her back. You think they'd make the same mistake twice? And, is the underlying thing here, you think they made a wrong decision in casting Alexia?

Being a belter who has a higher register like she does can make the songs easier since they're insanely high as it is.  It'd be difficult to bring a chest or medium mix voice up that high without straining. Yay for high belters!

The London 1 is really good, but they sometimes have problem with sound mixing. Last time I went we got £50 seats and it was almost hard to hear them lol.

Its because you get to many selfish people, who think they are the only ones there and becuase they have seen it 40 odd times that it is their right. Don't get me wrong I am a fan and seen it many a time, but screaming at this show can be OTT a lot of the time.

The screaming sometimes is a bit ott, but you can excuse it at performances like this. I was at Kerry's last and the people infront of me were not fans, it was their first, except for one person who said ''I much prefer this to last time I saw it, there's a better atmposphere'' and truly the atmosphere at kerry's last (as im sure it would have been here) was amazing and made the show one of the best experiences of my life. You could even see smiles on kerry's face when the crowd cheered for her.
