  • There's a great lecture from Professor Deborah Brautigam on youtube, about dispelling the myths surrounding the nature of Chinese investment in Africa. There are some rough spots for sure, but when you look at the bottom line the relationship as a whole has been fairly productive. What I thought was particularly interesting was that the Chinese government was annually funding some 5500 scholarships to African students to study in Chinese universities.

  • If real European colonialism was 1/4 what the Chinese are doing now, Africa would be a superpower right now. What a disrespectful bitch.

  • China has an approach to business the US cld learn from. They don't interfere in internal politics, they invest by exporting their trained human resources, tax-free deals with Africa and they built infrastructure and do not aim to ctrl yo religions.

And the US interest in Africa is to side-line China rather than to benefit us.

In Afghan US activated its billions -worth of a war machine for oil! China built 1 of the biggest refineries, 'donated' it to their gvt & buys @ international price. SEE?

  • Chinese are well aware of what's going on in this world starting from 500 years ago. The best way to deal with the words from the whitemens mouths is to ignore them.

  • @willliu8944

true true. We got a mind of our own and won't dance the whyt man's tune anymore. Over 400yrs under their shadows and they assume we don't understand their hearts. China may not be perfect but they see blacks as a pple with functioning brains. US & Britain certainly don't.

    I rest my case.

  • White people seem to feel they can not wash off the past havoc to not only African but most colored people. Instead of giving a real hand to lift Africa out of poverty on its own feet rather than guns supply or food in time needs, so they use dirty tactic of using colored against another colored people, but this is 21st century

  • This is awesome I hope China takes over Africa and ethnically cleanses it. But in a politically correct way of course.

  • @ziongite Sort of like the way Arab Muslims are ethnically & culturally cleansing Europe. The politically incorrect way of course.

  • @ziongite and by then, you and ur kind will be gone.africans where the first in world, and when the world comes to an end,if it does happen we africans will be the one's to put off the light.

  • Clinton is a bitch. No one likes her besides her other war mongering cronies.

  • Fact is that China is going to exploit Africa. Sure they are building a few things and sending lots of low quality consumer goods, which makes the Africans happy. Guess what happens when all the natural resources are sucked out of Africa, yeah you guessed it, China will stop being so "kind" and gracious. Chinese business people are very greedy.

  • @fabianramos777 "China will stop being so "kind" and gracious" that's an opinion, that never happened yet, we don't know if that would happen. I have several educated Chinese friends and they are all tremendous people.

Reading back in history, during the 13-14 century, China were in Africa, with Naval fleet that rival the 16 century European fleet. Instead of colonize, they traded, just like today. If you want to read more on this part, google 'Zheng He'

  • @fabianramos777 Here is some of your very useful points:

    1. "Fact is that China is going to exploit Africa" . anything "is going to" happen, is not a "fact"... English is not my first language, but i can understand it is a logic disorder.

    2. " they are building a few things ", if you don't even know what Chinese has build in Africa, don't act you know, or don't make it sound not important / or too important either way.

  • @fabianramos777 3. Based on your fake fact, you conclusion is also "yeah you guessed it", China "WILL" blah blah......, still nice imagination.

    4. "Chinese business people are very greedy." so give example or facts that Chinese businessman are greedy, and Western businessman are not greedy, or better.

    5. Get some education, and think if you are an African, who do you prefer based on current development level. How to improve a civilization or modernize a poor country.

  • I feel great joy in my heart when i hear a highly intelligent black brother.

  • We are at a dangrous turning point for the NWO, the UN and NATO wil do anthing to keep Africa's land and resorces, diamonds ect... from China or Russia

Make no mistake this chess move is the last ecconomic vive for world power!

  • right ok hilary clinton warns Africa that they could be at risk of coloniasm and have no values and respect for the African people?

What about the middle eastern countries that America have raped. And what about the British Empire when they occupied Africans and made them slaves for 400 years? In a British bar in Africa when in British occupancy there was a note saying "no dogs and africans allowed" in the same sentence.

Clinton and America is just jealous.

  • @bboychi1 Dear bboychi1, I wont even be surprise that White colonialism put up signs saying "no dogs and africans allowed." You know what White colonialism put up when they invaded China during the Opium war and took Chinese land? They put up the sign "No dogs and China Man allowed." funny how White people have such a short memory and funny how other people still worship whites as some type of gods. These who worship whites are brainwash as hell.

  • Looking back at history the last 800 years,China was a Capitalistic Trading Country,China has been to India and Africa Coasts,They did not Leaves any Bitter memories behind, History tells the truth.

  • At the end of Europe...the start of Africa and Asia.

  • @Microglia1 For sure for Greater China and India. We can be hopeful for Africa. One interesting data point is that Ghana's GNP was just discovered to be nearly four times higher than past estimates. There clearly is some progress being made. Thanks for posting.

  • @abdullahthebutcher One of the fundamental reasons that kept African nations back is the lack of public education, and this results in governments ruled by the few, who in turn must answer to Western corporations for money to maintain that government. Only a country with citizens creating jobs for themselves, which in turn finance the government, can any form of progress be made...or a strong centralized government (China/Russia) capable of financing work projects without foreign intervention.

  • @Microglia1 I would start with cultural inconsistency for reason Africa is behind today. Look at Cameroon. Half the country thinks their French and the other half think their English. It would be funny if it did not produce such horrible results. Thanks for all your posts.

  • @abdullahthebutcher I see the same mentality in the Phillipines, one Asian country with very confused identity, and social status is a perceived measure/aspiration of whiteness. The thing about colonialism is that it creates a group of people who benefit from the cultural annihilation of their own-so called "uncle Toms". This is also the reason why blacks in Brazil will never attain the same "rights" as their counterparts in USA, who are very conscious of their "blackness".

  • @abdullahthebutcher Well, I don't trust China 100%-their intentions are capitalistic but they seem to be contributing to "peaceful" endeavors-hospitals, schools, roads. All projects that create infrastructures. Oddly, I've noted of late that the Chinese seem to have a genuine fear of "instability" so they try to prevent warlords from taking over. I think to this day, many Chinese still believe that the won't have enough emigrant Chinese workers in Africa...so must collaborate with local people.

  • indeed an insult to all Africans calling it "new colonialism". There is stark difference between coming into a land with Europeguns and coming with business deals

  • If the Chinese were making developments in a western country, they wouldn't call it colonialism. They would call it progress.

  • @HybridD91 True. Thanks for posting.

  • China takes the oil, exchanged with $3.00 or less. per hour construction labour and sweats . Fare exchange.

  • @KSGXFOREVER I think you are right about the 50 years. There will likely be a couple of vibrant African countries by that time. Thanks for viewing and posting.

  • im white and i was born in Namibia and loved it if the us and the elite try to change Africa i will be out raged and so many others because i conceder Namibia my home but i do live in the uk for resins i do have dyslexia and i might not know what im talking about but there is truth in what is being said

  • @Gigacojack Thanks for viewing and posting. I would love to travel to Namibia someday. You have a positive role and place in modern Africa.

  • china will soon be number one cause the west got too fucking greedy i mean they cant even secure a fair oil deal with ghana (punks)

  • @ghanabanana Is is greedy or lazy? The West is being out worked. The next Google will not be from America. Thanks for posting.

  • Great VID and for the person under me YES we are!

  • @Dukethecrazy419 Cheers!

  • @abdullahthebutcher This is probably one of the best thought out vids on the issue that i have seen on youtube. Keep telling the truth.

  • @uplift20 You are generous. Thanks for the feedback.

  • educated black man you are dangerous

  • @Mar2623 We are part of the solution, not the problem. Thankfully it is 2012, not 1962. Thanks for posting.

  • I love the hypocrisy of Western media as they bullshit about China. When China is making deals in Africa, they call it colonization. I dont see any gunbarrels, do you. And when Africa is growing fast, they dont mention the emerging markets effects on Africa at all. Because how can it possibly be that Africa is growing so fast because of all the foreign investments in Africa...Because China was supposed to be stealing from Africa, right?

Conclusion. Best way to deal with the West: ignore them.

  • @Elbottoo Strong post. Thanks. My view of best way to deal with the West -- don't have your hand out asking for capital and expertise, do for self and approach as equals.

  • Great video! :)

  • Great sound....

We are in Libya because Libya isn't playing ball with the world banks..

  • Europeans,Americans don't build road, rail, infrastructure in Africa. Why criticize Chinese built road, rail there ? You guys really like to see Africans suffer for another 50 years? Pew research center report :80 to 92 percent Africans favor Chinese development there..

  • Fuck america and it nato organisation...hilary her organisation has theur own agenda to keep africas in poverty and control by european imperlist powers...wat goes around comes right back..

  • @mofire9999 In 1950 and 1960 your position was 100% accurate. In 2011 the majority of the problem is us. Thanks for posting.

  • @abdullahthebutcher where can i find china in nubia????

  • it is indeed an insult to all Africans calling it "new colonialism". There is stark difference between coming into a land with guns and coming with business deals. Europeans enslaved and stole as much resource as they could while China becomes partners with African leaders and have deals with both sides agree to. This is NOT colonialism in any sense what so ever. Using false terms like this only mean the US is becoming very scared and paranoid.

  • @Isreal4realz Well said Friend.

  • @Isreal4realz THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. AMEN TO THAT. TOOK THE WORDS OUT OF MY MOUTH.

  • gaddafi tried 2 help africa..that's why they r n libya. gaddafi was almost done with helping 2 supply water 2 africa. hilary= evil biatch

  • @cass1146 I have never met Muammar Gaddafi, but I don't believe NATO is in Libya because of his support of his country and Africa. I question any individual's motives when they have billions of dollars in their personal bank accounts due to political activities (versus entrepreneurship). No point in calling Hillary Clinton names. It weakens the strength of your argument. Thanks for viewing my video.

  • @abdullahthebutcher yeah..i will agree..that calling names helps nothing. what i said is true tho.

  • African governments are interested in working with China because China does not ask questions when it comes to human rights. China is investing in these nations for resources while building roads and the like. These resources are being pulled out of Africa and the potential revenue is not going into the pockets of Africans but into China. China is NOT creating jobs and opportunities for Africans, they are importing Chinese workers into Africa to run these businesses. So Clinton is right.

  • @MasterRegal Africans must be responsible for creating jobs in Africa. No one will do that for them. For the same reason we can't blame the Koreans for opening a grocery store in Harlem and not hiring any local people. This situation is not simply about human rights. Human Rights are largely a tool of convenience. India has one of the worst records in the world for women's rights and safety. Do you hear any of their trading partners complaining loudly? Thanks for commenting.

  • @abdullahthebutcher Thank you very much and that was well stated. There are several Docs on Youtube about the relations between China and Africa and you should read "the dragon's gift" which details this relationship.

  • @blueiguy1 Thank you. I will look for those documents. Very interesting.

  • @abdullahthebutcher can you let me know what has made you think of India as a country having "one of the the worst records in the world for women's rights and safety".i hail from india btw. trust me, women in countries west of my country(e.g. pakistan, afghanistan, saudi arabia, iran) have it way worse than women in India. India has had a female prime minister(head of state) as well as president(more of a symbolic role). women in india can drive, go to work, and no one has a right to stop them

  • @heomak Thanks for your detailed comments. You are missing the point of my video (also commenting in the wrong section). It is not about human rights. Of course women in India have more rights than women in Afghanistan. It is about respect. If you compare the experiences of a dark brown woman to a pale skinned woman with green eyes in India you will see the issue I am raising. The dark brown woman is invisible. Even in KSA where I have traveled the average woman has a respected role. Regards.

  • @abdullahthebutcher sure, india(like neighboring china, and pretty much most non-white countries) seem to have a preference for light skin. that's the effect of colonization(not just from british but also the mughal rulers who were lighter than the native Indians). it sucks but is a reality in India but that doesn't mean brown skinned women are invisible and are deprived of opportunities. majority of indians are brown skinned. only a small minority is light skinned. e.g. kashmiri muslims).

  • @abdullahthebutcher since the majority are brown skinned, it doesn't make sense for indians to deprive the majority of their population of opportunities. 90% of the models in the Indian fashion industry are brown skinned(or "dusky" as the indian media calls it). good examples of brown skinned women are Konkona Sen,Bipasha Basu, Nandita Das, Kajol. Aishwarya Rai(who's considered pale by indian standards) with her green eyes is considered beautiful but not respected as a truly great actress.

  • @heomak hillary clinton is a big fat liar!. for the record the Army of China should put nuclear missiles in Niger and Sudan and aim it at the real Colonialists who are 200-4000 miles away from africa

  • @abdullahthebutcher the law in India protects women. sure, there are many close-minded indians( products of rural north indian patriarchal culture) but for the most part, women's rights is guaranteed by the law.the top police officer in charge in the nation's capital is a woman(kiran bedi) who's respected immensely. the chief executive of 1 of the biggest companies is a woman(Indra Nooyi) . the former chairperson of India's biggest media conglomerate was a woman( Indu Jain).

  • @abdullahthebutcher there are countless other female citizens of India who are in the highest positions of power in their respective line of field..my point is that many westerners seem to have this lopsided view of India and more importantly what it means to be a women in India. sure, there are many women who get abused by their husbands & families & get raped and what not but that happens around the world. it's unfortunate. but 2 paint india out as this horrible place for women is incorrect

  • Thanx 4 articulating very important points regarding this issue!! Thumbs up!!

  • @bokay3900 Thank you for viewing and commenting.

  • china will become the most powerful country

the chinese people will work harder while americans will sit on their couches while playing on their shit box 360

  • china was not governed by a bunch of arrogant crumpet eating snobs

china would never have colonized the world

  • anyway !!when u dont have a choice is better, chinese are 100 times better than the western cz western are the killer they killed black pple more than 500ys and some foolish blacks forget this and try to see them like their advice ,this guy is a big fool

  • anyway !!when u dont have a choice is better, chinese are 100 times better than the western

  • I like hearing of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clintons comments from this guy! He is believable to the "x" degree. I feel, China is going to bring into Africa a necessary competitor which the Africans need in order to truly modernize and build infrastructure for its masses. abdullahthebutcher, , keep on doing what you doing!

    Holla

  • I agree with this guy. Having more competition from foreign investment (US vs China) will benefit Africa but Africa needs the best use of it. In the end. weaker countries have to stand up by their inner strength rather than from external.

  • I am from Vietnam which is next to China if you dont know. I have to say China is the same shit as Western. In many Asian countries and Vietnam, Chinese companies backed by its government corrupted local governments to win the projects (mostly construction and resource). They create pollution, they bring their people in our countries and those people behave like they are king. They even set up zones that Vietnamese cant enter in our own land. Who know what they doing there? So watch out Africans

  • @tichuot263 Thank you for your comments. You also highlight a human failure that I see so often among Africans and Asians. When someone across the table looks like you civility and respect go down. China would never act as you claim they are in your country in Germany or Canada.

  • @tichuot263 lol a viet talking shit about China. Why am I not surprised lol. Listen friend, you cannot have just the benefits of economic growth without the negatives of pollution. if you think thats possible, than I got some bad news for you lmao. Who wouldnt want 9% growth without pollution. Its either have great nature but be very poor or get superb economy while taking a shitter on nature. You can brag about how great your skies are while you live in a mudhut. Wake up, kid.

  • I can not agree more. Western colonialism is what effed over Africa over the last few centuries. Hillary Clinton needs to stfu. Another classic example of American ignorance and hatred insults. Go back to Mars Hillary, you are a threat to human race.

  • I applaud you my brother on your video. You expressed my sentiments "exactly". As an African American I too am aware of America's hypocrisy on China's involvement in Africa. China is building up Africa while america goes over every now and then and drops bags of rice. I believe China will be a friend and partner to Africa.

  • Although I will have to agree that she's right to say that we as African ppl need to shed our naivety when dealing with foreigners who ONLY seeking resources. However, such warnings coming from a western power just sounds like sour grapes to me. The west is just made that China's forcing their hand out of the metaphorical cookie jar that Africa is.

  • @mooncooninc83 Well said.

  • I also think that aking into account the 100s of thousands (if not millions) of ppl of the African diaspora who hold numerous degrees in civil engineering, waste management, and other nation-management skills, Africa and other Black nations should be able to provide such benefits to themselves.

China doesn't care about it's own ppl. So we shouldn't make honorary Negros out of them just yet. Historically, that's been our #1 problem....believing we have allies.
