Let's sharpen memory and not forget how ignorant Westerners are: As Anti-Chinese sentiment increases, desperate cash-strapped Americans never have, still can't, and never will be able to tell the difference between East Asian communities, so Asian-Americans, weather y'all like it or not, are the next targeted scapegoats. Wee. A Not-So-Funny Beau Sia poem as a sobering reminder.
@CursedK thank you! first comment i completely agree with. i hate it when some asian guy comes out to try and make a comment about their own race as if the billions of us are somewhat similar to whatever he says. i'll tell you one thing that all asians have in common, black hair. that's it.
I like him I love his energy and his purpose you hear civil rights movement leader speak on behalf of African/Black and Hispanic people but Asians get left out,stereotype and dogged. This si very enlighten if not aspiring
@spazifuwantto "Or China would have cashed the debt..." That's the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time. On many levels. Ahh yes, the magnanimous Chinese, stuck in a Faustian bargain as the banker that can't divest though they wish they could, actually could and thereby rule the world as one race, but won't because they're so tolerant and kind! Mr. Sia should hear what some Chinese central banker said last year of American debtors: "We hate you guys"
I've been outside the U .S and other nations in Europe.This hatred towards Americans is more b/c of their constant display of social and financial ignorance.Judging by your statement it bares some truth.
@spazifuwantto I see, so you're one of those economy class pinheads who actually think China can dump a trillion worth of US bonds and not be affected themselves. Rigggghhhhttt.
U.S has been pimping themselves out since WW2 whats your point?Every nation knows this has jump on it & pay their dues b/c of it.We were a top nation (still trying to hold strong) like the Romans influence by their brilliant taxation & democratic government.Romans fail after 900 years due to corruption & greed within.Same to Persian,Moors,Greek,Alexander,etc..

I love Beau Sia, but I hate this poem. It assumes all Asians are the same, the same way that all Africans are the same. We are all distinct.

@d63sx5 @CursedK
i think this is more to give a voice to the asian american community and for them to unite
not assume that asain americans are the same
i think this especially when he responds to rosie o donnell piece
he's thinking asian empowerment overall not conformity to the white racial frame.
