yo thanks a hecka lot.... i need to ask... whats your barrel called!! THATS amazing its like theres a shroud but it just twists right off with the barell
I know a stupid question but I've used my gun about ummmm say 5 times? And I still haven't stripped and cleaned it. Will it mess up? and If so what will happen to it?
If you don't care that much about your marker, then no, you don't.. If you're like me and you want your marker in top shape every time you go to use it, Yes you do..
i have a problem with my a5 when i cock it back it and i go to shoot it wont fire but i hear a ticking noise.. so i took the trigger off and tried it, and the batteries not dead it only stops working when i cock the gun can someone help ?
Just any paintball oil from and paintball store will work, as for the grease, you can buy it at any paintball store, or hardware store (white lithium grease).
hey i took the stock off and pulled the spring thing out and the black plastic thing slid out and all the sudden it did that sound when ur outa air and i relized that my co2 tank was still on i imdately put the stock back on and took the co2 tank off is my tippmann ruiend
I just got an used a-5. I was told it was re-ringed and teched so I just need to lube it up real good before I play. I dont' have any lube and no paintball shops nearby. Where is a good place online I can buy some lube and cleaning supplies for my a5?
I would lube it after every case of paint, or after every days play..
Every time you fire the marker, a VERY small amount of your lube leaves the marker with your co2/air. Once all your lube is gone, the marker is dry. Some things that will happen are:
1 Air leaks
2 Broken/chewed o-rings
3 Broken parts due to increased friction
4 Scratching of the inner receivers (cannot be repaired)
TO be sure how to lube it, watch the end of video 4, see how I lube the marker once it's together.
hey when i installed my response trigger, how come on my tippmann a-5, i have two holes on the right side of my gun where the banjo is screwed in for the cyclone feed?
is there any easy way to get the valve o ring back in mine popped out along with the washer, i got that in but cant get the oring back in, any suggestions?
Found this a few days too late but still favorited it just in case. Great video. Also I would recommend taking apart and cleaning the trigger assembly as I got shot there the other day and the inside was a MESS!! Its much simpler then the marker itself. Also check out KRASHARPSHOOTER as he has a good video on taking apart and reassembling the A-5 marker! Thanks for the video.
Youtube limits each video to 10 mins unless you pay for a special account..
So I broke the video up into sections that you would be cleaning in..
A good example is, if you were just cleaning the cyclone, you can just watch the cyclone section..
As you can see, part 4 (putting the marker back together) has twice as many hits as the other parts. Obviously, many people take a marker apart not knowning anything about it :) or they watch it 2 or 3 times while putting the marker back together
I just bought the Tippman A-5 Power pack. Haven't shot it yet, but it says once i put on the CO2 tank on, i should oil it first...is this true? every time i go out and paintball, should i do this? Also, do i have to push the one cyclone rod thingy once i add the paintballs to the hopper?
Yes you should oil it the first time you use it.. You should clean your marker regularly, but if you're not going to clean it, atlease oil it.. 2 - 3 drops of oil in the asa (where you screw your CO2 in) Every now and then.. If you don't go that often then do it every time.. The cyclon rod is a manual advance, once you fire it cycles by itself. You don't even need to push it, just fire once and it will do the same thing..
Grease reduces the friction between the 2 surfaces, in many places of the marker oil is good enough but oil doesn't stay on the surfaces specially with friction. The grease stays on the 2 surfaces.. If you just oil these parts after a couple hundred shots, all the oil will be gone and your performance will drop.. And then your marker will break.
I own an A5 that I have really enjoyed, but recently Ive noticed that my barrel fitting is a bit loose and its drivin me crazy. Is that a common A5 issue?
I have a flatline.. I have had it as long as I've had my a5.. For aim, I would say the flatline is not as good as most other $100 barrels.. But For distance.. The flatline is 10x better than any barrel.. Specialy in the wood (with the tree cover) the paint seams to go twice as far.. And lets face it, that's why anyone would buy a flatline, and for that, it works great.
get a stiffi 14 inch they are carbon fiber with kevlar weave it is as light as a pencil and it has never failed me yet and the barrel is always clean even if i dont squegge it the only problem is its a bit pricey but it is amazing excelent accurace
NO!! Do not do that.. It puts constant pressure on all your springs and o-rings.. Also It is a safety risk..
What is best for your marker? Well, After you're done playing for the day. Take the tank or remote off. Remove the barrel, and wrap both your barrel and your marker with a t-shirt or a towel and keep it all in a bag..
That's up to you, I would ask how often do you notice you cannot sustain your R/T?? Does it bother you alot? cause if it does, then an e-grip will make you happy.. If you find you rarely hold the trigger down long enuff to matter, an e-grip may be pointless..
What I like about e-grips is the other modes, Reactive Burst and Turbo are Awsome..
CAn you send me picture of how the bottom of the feeder should look like without the lid on it? i cant get it to catch and i wanted to make sure that i had everything in the right position. My email is roboiain2@aol,com. thanks.
Yes, The E-grip is a very nice mod for the A5.. Tho make sure you find out the rules at your local feild.. Some feilds are semi auto only... a $120 e-grip is pointless if you can't leave semi auto mode..
If you get one, get the W.A.S enabled EQ e-grip (the new one by tippmann) The setup and programming is real nice..
I have a response trigger on mine right now. I can get it up to fll auto and sustain for a while but if I already have the response should i keep it or get the egrip?
lol the tippmann a5 decal thingy?? It just peels off.. held on by some sort of glue, soaking the half with the decal on it in hot water will help soften the glue.
There are a couple ways to do it.. Ususaly, you would sand the old paint down, prime it, and paint it.. how much pain do ineed to shoot before i need to clean my a5?
YamahasRAwesome 2 years ago
This Massive cleaning only needs to be done once a season, or once you've broken paint in the marker.
The more you clean your marker they better it will work.

How often should you do a full clean down on the A5?
Tan1723 3 years ago
At least once a year just before you put it away for the winter.
I do a full cleaning of my A5 after every days play..
When you do a full clean/lube you can be %100 sure it is in tip top shape for the next time you use it.

whats a real good trigger for the a5?
i was thinking a E-trigger?

If you get one, be sure to check my wideo on how to program it :)

hey when i installed my response trigger, how come on my tippmann a-5, i have two holes on the right side of my gun where the banjo is screwed in for the cyclone feed?
deathreaper34 3 years ago
One is for the Cyclone and one is for an RT.
The old ones (like mine) only have one port.
If you have 2, I suggest running 2 banjo fittings, one for the cyclone one for the RT.
It offers more air to your cyclone and RT than the older style did. If you run a SUPER RT, or a low pressure system, it will help alot.

hey man thanks a lot, i was wondering why people on youtube only had one hold on thier a5s and mine only had one

lorencep63 3 years ago
I do it after every days play... This makes the marker in the best shape it can be in..
You should do it atleast once or twice a year, I do it a couple times a month.
paintballingguy 3 years ago
hey i was wondering if i couldn't take it apart and clean it could i send it to a store to clean it

But if your marker's factory paint is still in good shape, all you need to do is scotchbright the entire thing (or a very fine sandpaper) but scotchbright is the best... Just to rough up the factory paint and give it some texture for the new paint.. Basicaly, I use the factory paint as a primer.
