  • This was not a Green Goddess fire engine. In the AFS this was a Petrol Carrier. It was fitted with racks to hold Jerry cans of petrol to top up all the vehicles they had. the red plates on the front were for fire extingishers.

  • Don't look now.....but someone has nicked all your ladders! ;)

  • Yeah, and all the hoses, damn !

  • Hi Steven,

When I got the RL it was a 300 petrol enging which was a bit thirsty at about 9.5 miles to the gal depending on what load I had in the back which was usually my Ford 1900 tractor with an implement of some sort. But it was getting to expensive so I got a 330 and apart from the reduced speed which is an amazing 45 mph the mpg is 22 which is great. I will try eBay for spears and I will have to take some film footage of it. Cheers Jon

  • Hi there how's it going I've got the same RL as you reg GYL 54C although your's is allot smarter. Where do you get your spare parts from. Cheers Jon.

  • i was expecting u to move at least!!! boring vid tho a real nice engine note

  • Fantastic sound effects - good old 6 cylinder bedford motors!

  • Interesting. The actual Green Goddess is a RL emergency pump. Your vehicle appears to be a support vehicle for the GG. Very nice it is too.

  • 4.9 petrol? ouch! thats gotta hurt at the pumps. still its nice to see one of these, most got re-engined with 330 diesels

  • exciting, thats a minute and a half of my life i'll never get back
