  • Yes, that would have been nice.

  • should of dug out where you had your ute parked and put a bridge their and had the pond go over to the other side.. but thats a bit more costly ;p

  • Um, isn't a pond supposed to have a water inlet (such as a stream) and an outlet?

  • awesome video, that was interesting to watch.

  • @Ronald0709

Thanks, Ronald. It was fun to make. Enjoy.

  • did you have to line the pond with anything to get it to hold water?

  • @pennisuhm72

The pond is a sky (no springs, just rain, snow, runoff) pond, naturally clay base lined.

  • I cannot see a creek. Is it spring fed, or rain fed?

  • @rickey5353

No creek or springs, just rain, snow and runoff.

  • very cool my friend!!! im planning to make also fish pond :) very nice

  • @majesticmember

    Enjoy!

  • Looks like you coul make it bigger

  • @supaflywilkins

    Ya, that would be nice.

  • what kind of trackhoes that looks like a john deere 120 or a 620 the old 120 but i dug my own small pond with a komatsu 160 my dads

  • @grizzlycopeskoal

    790, I think. Have fun!

  • For just your own private landed?

  • Part of the land is private. The pond is a nice addition in order to help control drainage problems. An electric train around the 1900's ran through the pond area, therefore through my current home to serve a town south of Lake Michigan (from Chicago).

  • did you stock it with fish?

  • Hybrid Bluegill, so they do not over populate; Large Mouth Bass and Fathead Minnows. In a larger pond, I have stocked Channel Catfish with the others mentioned.

  • nice combination...im so jealous you have this in your own garden, wish i could afford to build one...lol

  • Afford, well that's not easy, but the pond was to fix a water drainage problem that blew out stone driveway seasonally. Bonus is the pond and fish. Snow plow farmer, mail carriers and delivery trucks are happy now. People who don't know how to drive in winter shouldn't come down the driveway. Every winter there is some sort of stuck vehicle spinning their tires causing ruts. The pond is a good thing.
