  • He said it was at a constant speed, since acceleration is a change in speed or direction, he is correct. Seems like some people should worry more about their textbook than what the teacher is wearing.

  • this guy is obviously a child molester. just look at his jeans and that fanny pack.

  • Chuck Norris is teachin' the asian kids!!

  • @CrimsonSoul777 LOL at the beginning I thought you were being racist...then i saw that you were right.

  • Obviously, if there is no acceleration, that must mean that the Force of Friction is equal to the applied force.

In this case, Fa = 3N, furthermore, the Ff must equal 3N, considering acc is 0.

  • at 0:09 he says: "I'm going to pull it, so it has no acceleration". Pay attention. Maybe you should be one of his students and take notes ;).

  • @zzzbambamzzz No that's correct. In order to calculate frictional force you need a constant velocity, with >no< acceleration. BAMMM B)

  • @zzzbambamzzz hehe so according to your logic an object that moves is always accelerating ?

  • He said there was no acceleration, I agree about the kindergarden though. If you're doing real mechanics it can be quite a struggle :-D

  • What is he trying to say here? No acceleration is equal to 3 neutons?

  • Zero net force means no acceleration. It's a reference to Newton's second law: Force = mass * acceleration. If there's no net force, then there's no acceleration. The 3 newtons in the one direction cancels out the 3 in the other direction, thus 0 net force.

  • @soothsayer61 Oh, and you think your so sma--... well actually, that was nicely said.

  • No, he said friction equals the force that you are pulling the object (with no acceleration) so friction is 3 newtons.
