Incredible! Amazing!! I was talking about this Icon with friends last Tuesday. Cover the Left eye, see the Right Eye piercing your soul like a "dagger" of Truth. Then cover the Right Eye and see the Left one gazes at you with mercy, more tender, less severe. For Jesus is LION and LAMB!

When you consider the many images that have been presented of Christ, this one is the most realistic and it so happens to be the oldest.

Only an individual who has seen Christ in physical form would be able to verify the authenticity of this image. And still that person would not be able to prove to others that this is the only true likeness of Christ.

Pantokrator means "Holder of everything!" And represents great icon of The Savior on the roof of orthodox churches!

@cvekisd Close, it actually means "RULER of Everything." The 'crator' being derived from the same root as used in the words "Democracy" = Rule by the crowd, "Autocracy" = Rule by one/self, etc.
