@skulleton so then why is the diver who is recording the dive never mentioned (at least not that i've seen) in any of the dives? the diver who is recording the dives has to be just as skilled as the divers he's recording. . .what i'm trying to ask is: is the diver that's recording just 1 of the divers already on the trip who just happens to have an underwater camera or is it a hired film-maker who is also an experinced diver? hope u understand my question! thank you! i'm very interested 2 know!
@hazeleyegirl0801 That video was filmed by ajcronan (the uploader). Check the credits at 5:25 in the video. He was on holidays in Mexico with the other two divers and he had an underwater camera.
@Onlex the lowdown on cave diving: low to absolutely no visibility (and if you stir up sediments, no vis is very likely), these caves can stretch for hundreds of kilometres and you can't just go up in case of an emergency - you have to go all the way back, caves are easily collapsible particularly if you're trying to get through a crack, there are dangers in inhaling the wrong gases at varying depths, possibly strong currents, and so there you have it: [quite possible] doom.
@shabapple yeah now that makes sense ... what threw me of os the tempel part of the name thought it might have been a really old temple that was flooded with water but it was just a cave ...anyway thx for clearing this up for me ^^
@shabapple yeah the vis there's awful. I would hate to to dive in that......LOL you idiot that looks awesome, I recently did Ressel in France and although the vis was amazing the formations weren't a patch on that.... Maybe in the UK bad or low visibility but there they dive the flooded bits to get to the next sump to explore on foot, a bit like driving your car to work, just a means to the end... Check out other cave diving vids on here for more examples of bad visibility LMFAO
I hate that people go in and contaminate these ancient and completely isolated ecological sanctuaries with outside bacteria, bits of hair and skin, light and worst of all - oxygen, which is poisonous to just about everything in such environments. Not to mention the physical trauma and altercations caused by waves, ropes, and errant flippers to geological formations that take millenia to grow. You risk your lives, the love and hopes of your friends and family, all for some destructive tourism.
@Fedaykin4321 Yeah sure we will just leave these caves unexplored and wait until we destroy the earth or a meteor hits the planet. We might as well stop racing cars they harm the environment and the drives risk their lives BUT THEY ARE PASSIONS and diving is worth the risk and hair or skin or even O2 wont destroy caves.....
@TheMichaeldiver Or we could wait a few decades and explore them robotically - with no loss of life and massively reducing the damage to these extremely sensitive places.
This will have to be done anyway due to advancements in digital mapping technology. There is no urgent need to explore these cave systems and they aren't going anywhere. People with too much money and time on their hands just need to feel like they accomplished something. Go skydiving. Your grandkids wont damn your for it.
@Fedaykin4321 You wont stop divers exploring caves full stop. Nobody cares if you think that hair or skin will destroy caves. Watch and enjoy and if you don't like it don't watch cave diving videos..
@TheMichaeldiver I wanna know if any of the underwater caves in the world have pockets of air. Or pockets of oxygen even. Some pockets maybe of Methane or some type of natural occuring gas that bubbled up into them over thousands of years. Do these exsists? That kind of stuff fascinates me. What about pockets of trapped air in wrecks like submarines?
@knaxon Im not sure about caves but submarines with hatches closed will definitely hold air for a long time but after awhile the water will erode the ship I was diving the Uc42 a mine laying submarine and it is 100 year old it has some holes in it from erosion now huge congers live in it!
@CropJ Very simple! If you look at the pattern the worlds going through the sea water level seems to be rising as times are going by. Soon we might see some lands sinking which were present above water once although it's very unlikely we might see it on our lifetime. I rather not.
@mrahman377 I totally neglected the fact that the earth has been doing nothing but getting warmer since the last ice age... melting ice = rising water...
@UnknownTalentStudios "That is really beautiful it's cool how god made all of that!" <--- god? god my ass, this is nature and evolution in action. Keep your imaginary friends for lonely nights.
Mute the video & listen to Svo Hljott by Sigur Ros. Goes much better in my opinion. Great quality video though, must've been an amazing dive. Love your other videos too. This makes it onto my list of things to do before i die.
I'm a diver, and i think this looks amazing, but jesus it makes my heart race because of how scarey i guess it will be. you gotta have balls to do this. lol
Oh shit. I'm a diver myself, but I'm a bit claustrophobic. Sure, I'd love to go spelunking someday, but *underwater spelunking?!* No thanks. I already feel myself hyperventilating. That, and I'm an air-hog. :[ I go through a tank of air ridiculously fast.

@Flavorfulydisturbing -- the video is correct, it''s a "halocline", which are very common in caves close to the ocean, like this one (cinotes)
