  • Frame rate seems to be low...

  • @40pipoune 1 frame every 30 seconds. What you need to ask is it a photo or a video of a parked train?

  • 30 seconds to show a non-video still picture? Why bother? Why are you even on YT?

  • ok, YouTube fail

  • @MrDemontrigger at 44619 views that I get paid for, It's not a fail because I'm making good money out of it.

  • video fail

  • @MrDemontrigger Thats only because it's a photo.

  • 'King of the Road' would go well with this picture :-)

  • @kizitoutube A train doesn't drive on the road idiot.

  • shitty music.

  • think we had better try flickr to see his video - obviously hes a bit confused putting a picture on a video site

  • @class37s I'm not confused, it's to do with copyright.

Are you a bit pissed that the train is longer than the UK?

  • How many miles long do you think that ore train is?

  • @djmcclenney92 That I just don't know

  • this doesnt exactly prove there are 700 ore cars and 8 locomotives. all this proves is there is 1 engine with a lot of cars. but im not being judgemental

  • @123legodude Thats fine but did you look at the link?

  • @littlegalah I did, and the picture you used clearly states underneath it that there are 6 locomotives.......

  • @alco424 Some times it's 6 and other times it's 8 pending on the load, I can't use the video of 8 due to copyright

  • @littlegalah as others put up videos of trains especially like this one, copyright reason why you cannot put up the video to prove it is fact a Locomotives with 700 iron ore cars?

  • @aussiekwv I don't steal copyright, I do have a link for you to look at

  • @littlegalah and you don't answer questions. But the link another photo? zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • Why do the dash 8s have the weird looking cab?

  • @madbeastification I thing the guy was stoned when he did the bule prints

  • @madbeastification - It's called the Pilbara Cab (after the region where most of the iron ore is mined in WA), and it is built that way to reduce the amount of sunlight coming in through the windscreens.

  • @JBofBrisbane Thanks for that, I had been trying to find out with out luck.

  • A photo.... on a video site.... really?

  • goninan dash8 flaties great locos

  • that picture is real but I wish it was a video.

  • whats the song

  • @Powerstroke380 got it from youtube audioswap

  • @littlegalah ok thanks

  • FAKE!

  • @macktheknife888 how can it be fake?

    It's a real trail.

Sorry if we have trains longer than the UK

  • Comment removed

  • @littlegalah ...so if you have longer trains, does that mean your more of a man or have a bigger dick? dick?

  • @NickelPlateSteel ...longer train means more steel. asswipe.

  • great train see as its going NO WHERE

  • Definitely NOT a photo of the record breaking train - not even the right locos shown in this photo. The record breaking train was pulled by AC6000 locos - the locos in this photo are Dash 8's.

  • @BMAustralia1 i know the first time i put the video up had the right photo but youtube pulled it down over copyright and the was the only one i could find without a copyright pain

  • While undoubtedly an impressive image as shots of the Pilbara's iron ore trains usually are, I seriously doubt that it's of the record-breaking train.

Actual footage of BHP Iron Ore's longest train can be found at:

    youtube.com/watch?v=9LsuNWjRaAo

  • @pennsyr1 just looked at the video, that was the 2001 record,

in 2002 the USA took the record by 12m so BHP took the train up to 700 cars in 2003

this photo is from the BHP pess release

  • @littlegalah I don't mean to cast any aspersions, but in several hours of searching, I've not been able to find any info to back the details put forth. Everything I've thusfar encountered points to BHP's 2001 train as the current king, and occasionally hints at comparatively lesser records held by other operators.

Could you point me in the direction you got your data from?

  • @pennsyr1 its the BHP 2003 record attempt at the same location with a slightly longer train. it came 8 and half kms short of being recognised for doing the required distance, because of a hydraulic line failure. which caused the brakes to go on.

this was in a BHP publication, August 2003.

  • Nice shot Alan.....Bob

  • nice video again yeah i like the background music to:)

  • Beautiful train but we need more pictures!

  • @TheHandyGoddess that would be nice but i was only given 1 photo

  • Now that is one long-ass train...Love the banjo music!

  • @ElanaVital83 how long does it take the driver to check the train?

  • @littlegalah Ummmm.... I dunno?

  • you need to catch a train to get to the other end

  • @aussiegalah could catch a taxi

  • @littlegalah lol

  • Quick stop..!!! Oh dont worry it was 10 miles back..

  • @TrueBlueAustralian you need a motel each side of the crossing.

to the dock 80 kms hour, top speed. Return from the dock, 140 km hour.

Its officially the longest ongoing frieght trains.
