I heard her on NPR today and had a fat black sharpy marker and nothing to write her name on, so I ejected my latest demo out of my cd deck and wrote it on the cd, while driving down hiway 234..Her voice got me before she could finish her first verse. I'd place her music in the " Americana", genre, with Lucinda Wilson, Steve Earle, Robert Earle Keene, I even hear some Tom Waites type percussive bang and clanks in there too, she's a blessing to the crazy music scene.

what genre would her music be classified as? a lot of people say country but to me it sounds more like indie folk rock, i dunno, but it's good. anyway, she has one beautiful voice and a nice personality too, she seems real down to earth. i'm a big fan of cartoons and she's definitely my favorite female voice actor. i'm gonna have to pick this cd up soon, though there's like 50 other cds i need to buy first.
