I love them, I adore DeVotchka. I just wish there was a live recording of them online that did justice to their sound. Nick has this big booming phenomenal voice and I have yet to hear a live recording that has captured it. Their is sound is big, and you just can't hear it here.
I just love them though, just look at them, they are absolutely KILLING it!

If you want to see something actually pretty cool. The mariachi group that i'm in is doing a cover to this song. yes a mariachi group and this song. my director loves this group and well enough said. and with the way they ended it, it just happened. so this is a regular in bag o' songs.

saw them last year at the Crystal Ballroom PDX....aaaahhhhhhmazing and they played with one of my favorite local cabaret gypsy bands Vagabond Opera!! It really helped that the floor still bounced nicely : ) Very Talented.

I got the chance to see DeVotchka do a show at Southgate House (modest venue in Newport, KY), back in mid-2008 if I recall correctly. Simply stated: I was blown the fuck away by them. Enough that I tend to think "great live version" as it applies to DeVotchka is almost redundant. ;-)
