Commovonte!!peccato che la tecnica dei legni non era ancora perfezioneta,ma il timbro generale è miracoloso!!Il legato è incredibile!!Mengelberg plasma com un pittore i colori dell'orchestra...Miracoloso se pensiamo che siamo nel 1939!!

This music is some of the finest that Mahler or anyone has written: these first few minutes from the third movement are pure .. think of blue sky, not a single cloud, happyness, childhood memories of pure happyness when life was simple ... Mengelberg's interpretation is unique. Thank you for posting this.
