You know portal is part of the half life series right? Now for the conspiracy: They had to have made more than one portal gun, that's kind of an obvious. And we all know that in Ep3 of half-life will take place partially on the Borialus ship (If you don't know what that is go play half-life) which was built by Aperture Science, so maybe there is a portal gun on board and you get to use it :D
