  • that whole Sly and the Family Stone fresh album is dope !!!!!

  • yes awesome :D

  • Sly and the Family Stone gives me motivation when I'm at work.

  • Feeling your channel! Question...I'm looking for this track, was a club banger mid -late 90's. It's a male vocal, Jamaican accent. Along the lines of Jackal the Bear - For Real. The lyrics are England girls something something girls...

The track uses the same base line and beat as this track by

Original Flavor - Here we go(pump it up).

  • YEAH BOY

  • Love it.

  • I thought I knew a lot about music, but you're a real student....you really dig and study. You're introducing us to (or reminding us of) a lot of good music and the history behind it. Good work.

  • @jayleeds2006 Indeed. If I ran a school of the arts, I would bring on funktuall as the dean of funk and soul.

  • This is great stuff man. Just great stuff.

  • Funk.....I'm just speechless. Thank you for showing myself, as well as others, there is SO MUCH MORE to a band than their big hits.....

  • cool song ~ and cool is what your passion for sharing this knowledge and music with us is. Thank you : )

  • The title says eargaRsm, didnt notice at first

  • Larry Graham is the king of funk bass!!

  • @funkydrummer14

That is not Larry Graham it's Rusty Allen. It doesn't even sound like Larry?

  • @bluewine1 Aah.. It is Rusty Allen...my mistake! I wasn't aware of the line up changes for that particular album. Still a great bass line though....

  • where was that sampled? can't get that baseline out of my head!

  • @2menace PM DAWN used this in "Comatose" off their first album. They sped it up a bit tho.

  • @smokeverbs ah thanks. I knew it from "5 Sterne Deluxe". was a german hip hop group from '98.

thanks for the response though :)

  • Funk I'm thankful for the knowledge you give. Thanks for the shout out.

  • Grooooove.

  • I can vouch for the swank-ness that is Tim "Poundcake" Tucker. Check out his store, his podcast, AND his funk-tified band, The Heavy Heads!

  • @bastlake What he said.

  • I love the sound of Sly Stone in the morning! It sounds like... FUNK!!!
