You're a Ron Paul supporter? Wow, I give you a lot of credit for replying so calmly and kindly. :P
I'll definitely check out those books (I think I've heard of the Fourth Turning; my generation are supposed to be "heroes"...not so sure about that!) if you read The Conservative Nanny State, which is available at: theconservativenannystate (dot) org
I like Krugman because, well, I'm more or less in favor of progressive taxation, Keynesian interventions, etc. I'd like to get back to the Eisenhower era...I'll even take the Nixon era (which must seem like Marxist-Leninism in today's warped political spectrum).
It's we on the left who have the most to fear from Obama. People who favor neoclassical/neoliberal economics and a continuation of the Reagan-Bush-Clinton era should be thrilled by Obama's policies.
I don't quite understand the point of this very well made vid.
Obama has never expressed familiarity or interest in Krugman's ideas. Has he ever referred to The Conscience of a Liberal? He is reported to be irritated by reporters' questions about Krugman. And his economic team is, unfortunately, a complete repudiation of New Deal approaches to the crisis.
Obama is a snooty technocrat who fooled us all. To hell with him.
Geithner is just the executive branch, the mind behind him is Larry Summers. Summers must be replaced by Krugman, or Noriel Roubini if a true liberal agenda is to be put in place
Thank you. Have a good one!

Very funny. I love both these guys and I agree that they should find a way to make it work. :)
