This is a lovely piece, I love the 3-dimensional look of it in the frame, and I loved watching the carving come to life. :) Just found your videos but I am having fun going through them.
What a charming comment! Thank you Keida! I like to push the 3 dimentional aspect of my carvings as far as I can. I experiment with and approach with multiple methods. "I love the 3-dimensional look of it in the frame" I keep the frames simple and geometric to contrast, enhance and bring attention to the organic qualities of the workpiece.
Experimenting in different forms of art is always fun. If I had the chance to watch you carve something in real life then I would. :) I love watching people make things. I'm taking a ceramics class right now, and otherwise draw. So I love watching what other people make. I'm surprised my friend's haven't gotten annoyed that I peer over their shoulders to see their work from time to time. Hah
