@tilliez i heard about that. but one person told me that she put on moisterizer everyday since her accutane treatment in her teens, and she is 45 and gets tons of complements on how young her skin looks. i would say when you dont want dryness (clear skin), and your out of the acne phase. go crazy and put on TONS of moistourizer. I also hear that by thinning your skin accutane makes it less strong( the thicker the stronger) and gravity takes its toll faster. so get some skin thickening products.

I did get the dry skin while i was on it but the only side effect i have now is on each of my cheeks, theres large red blotches. i have a few questions / comments.
1. just need to say u are extremely sexy, like holyshh*t.
2. i know older people that have used actutane in their younger years and they say it ruined their skin and they regret using it. they say it dried out their skin and when they got older caused premature aging, ect.. especially ones that stayed on it for years rather than 6mnths- is this true ?!

@tilliez i heard about that. but one person told me that she put on moisterizer everyday since her accutane treatment in her teens, and she is 45 and gets tons of complements on how young her skin looks. i would say when you dont want dryness (clear skin), and your out of the acne phase. go crazy and put on TONS of moistourizer. I also hear that by thinning your skin accutane makes it less strong( the thicker the stronger) and gravity takes its toll faster. so get some skin thickening products.

1. How long did it take for you to notice the breakouts stopped?
2. Did your face get flaky? If so what did you use to cover it up
3. Does the body acne go away first?

1.You break out on accutane every month or so but each time it less severe till there is barely any
2. No only my lips got dry, they didnt crack
3. My face acne went away first
The medicene reacts differently to everyone though.

@liammunky I just finished actually about 5 minutes ago, a 5 month course, but I never started to see results until about the fourth month. It works great, you just have to be patient haha

well i might go on this but the thing is i play football and i work out twice a day. were u allowed to work out hard while u were on the treatment? working out as in lifting weights and football training. thanx

I took accutane when i was 16. I played varsity ball as a soph and played in college as well. I lifted hard and went to practice everyday. There will be some discomfort and you will be stiff, but no it will not affect your health adversely. I am very glad i took this medication.

@jewbear54 You can do everything that you normally would do. The only side effect I ever had was chapped lips, and towards the end my nose would dry out inside.

@SoNicHaZSwaG Yes, your whole body. remember, they're pills, that means your blood takes it to all the cells and whatnot in your whole body. it treats facial, back, and chest and whatever else someone might have. I'm on it as we speak, and i'm happy i am.

i finished my 6 month trial with accutane about 11 months ago and it did wonders for my face, im clear. I did get the dry skin while i was on it but the only side effect i have now is on each of my cheeks, theres large red blotches. Its not bumpy but its like my skin is a diff. color there then on the rest of my face. I was jw if anyone has had this and if there's anything you can do about them. P.S they are barely noticable

Thanks man,I'm using benzamycine gel nightly and tetracycline which seems to be working just not as fast as I would like it to,I'm going to use it for a few more months but if I still feel bad about my acne by then accutane it is.Just scary with all those commercials and sideeffects,about rectal bleeding,seizures? suicide! blindness! LOL.It's not funny but I mean wow,have you had any side effects? If so what were they?

@TheProductofsociety For me it costs $15 butwith medical its free. Im takin it right now. I started the first month on 40 mg, now im on 80 mg for the second month. In first month, it improved slightly but this month its the real deal. After the cycle, it should be gone permanently, rarely any patients need a second or even third cycle!! Exercise and accutane together is the best!!

ya its expensive. I have taken two pills so far. Only side effects are im itchy and dry lips. My acne is a lot worse then the person in this video so i really hope it works.

I had to get off of accutane after 2 weeks because my liver score went way up to 299 and was rlly hard on me, I also have ulcerative coltious and it affected that as well gave me alot of pain, My dermatologist gave me 2 of the best topical creams and they are the only thing that has worked for me i love them my face keeps getting clearer
