I was wonder why ppl say that about fam play like yr size indicates that would be to loud you know its like blastin music loud as hell if you do that yr not gonna really be able to hear the backround an al the lil details, plus it'll have your ears rining. A good example of the JSU band not marching is clear as day when they set up for their dance routine. They walk, even in the drill their formation resemble a core style band . (See drill in video 1 also any core style band will do preferbly ohio St.) Your horn movents in the entire show are the same ones used by all SWAC bands in the stands.( See dance feature and concert Selection). JSU stands still when they play the dance routine music then dances. Its no longer a dance routine,a Drum break

Take note, JSU does NOT ever plan and dance because they can NOT do two things at once. This is shown in the video above. (Watch the dance routine). JSU does NOT march at all, and when they do so called "march" they loose sound and it is only temporary. (See video one for Drill). JSU is a stationary band., meaning they are only good in the stands or when not moving. Their percussion does Not dance in the dance routine. (See Video above).

JSU I Got Nothin But Love For You, But I Just Can't Stand How Your Drum Majors Do All That Dang On Dancin and Stuff At The Beginning Of The Show But They Are Resting When The Band Is Doin The Drill, I Was Raised The Drum Major Should Be On The Field At All Times.

As an alumni JSU drum major I'll fill you in. JSU has always showcased it's main attractions (The Prancing J-Settes and the Drum Majors) They have always felt that these two entities were the main attraction. So, that's why we do a "Drum Major Salute" most of the time. Now, this dmj should be on the field at all times comes from the corps style type of bands. Everyone feels that this should apply to all bands. I feel where you're coming from though. But JSU doesn't fall into that category.

I'm a huge Sonic Boom fan, but I really thought J State was gonna bring it. They did the same field routine songs from the ladder part of the season, the J-settes did the same dance, and I feel like they got their field show idea from Southern's Bayou Classic show. Now I did like the I got 5 on it part. Overall, they could have done better because I have seen them do better. I'm happy that they got first place, but this was not a first place show.

Even though I still like putting a foot in JSU little tiglet rear for their childish behavior after the performance, as a member of the 100 JSU is going to remain musically weak until they get some respectable band staff.

Their staff is as childish as the band. Lastly, a little wisdom from the 100, JSU its not all about being loud or sreaming every note. Its about being felt not just heard. Get it crunk when its necessary, but dont compete with each other to see who's section is the loudest because thats a path to your bands destruction. Be a family and blend, utilize basic fundamentals of music and the the weak southerns, NCATS, TSU, BCU, will respect you.
