The problem, which no elected official will ever address if he values his or her life, is our fiat money system, run by the privately owned Federal Reserve.
The solution would be to abolish our private central bank and rely on money backed by something tangible.
I'm not just talking gold here people, I'm talking goods and services.
Abolish the Fed and let Congress print our money as it was intended to do so in the Constitution.
Government intervention is never A solution. While Obama and Bush thinks bailout is the solution. I believe less government action and intervention is the solution. They should give more tax cuts to companies and give working people back their withholding tax for 3 to 6 months, give more money back to the working people and it will give them more money to spend and help the economy. It is never a solution to tax more. More government spending creates deficits and ruins economies.
It's a shame the majority of America disagrees. Our country is slowly but surely becoming a government baby, dangling from our lips from lady liberty's tit.
I really think the problem is that people that people with bad credit got loans, and at the same time, people with good credit over spent, nobody even stopped to think if their job was going to be there to pay for it all.

Re-industrialize local communities with grants and loans, rather than bailing out failed business models. Reduce public sector debt.
The problem with the economy is that business would rather not hire Americans, and have yet to discover that the market is comprised of Americans. Another problem is the enron exception which allows oil futures markets to be manipulated. Let us not forget $4/gal gas. Additionally epa mandates linked grain with the fuel economy- another bad idea.
If they gave the people all that money. The people would buy cars, homes and put money the bank. Problem solved. but instead they gave all the money to the banks.
The government is the problem. The government started this, with the Central Bank, by bailouts and printing money: The financial crisis is in process, and THEY'RE causing it!

It's all a charade.
The problem, which no elected official will ever address if he values his or her life, is our fiat money system, run by the privately owned Federal Reserve.
The solution would be to abolish our private central bank and rely on money backed by something tangible.
I'm not just talking gold here people, I'm talking goods and services.
Abolish the Fed and let Congress print our money as it was intended to do so in the Constitution.

Government intervention is never A solution. While Obama and Bush thinks bailout is the solution. I believe less government action and intervention is the solution. They should give more tax cuts to companies and give working people back their withholding tax for 3 to 6 months, give more money back to the working people and it will give them more money to spend and help the economy. It is never a solution to tax more. More government spending creates deficits and ruins economies.

I really think the problem is that people that people with bad credit got loans, and at the same time, people with good credit over spent, nobody even stopped to think if their job was going to be there to pay for it all.
Never live up the amount that you make on your job, only live up to the amount that you can make if you lost that job, that's the way to do it.
I've seen it happen over and over, they get a good job and think it will last forever.

The solution is to hold trade partners accountable for their obligations, or end tariff free trade. End free trade with China. Regulate the energy markets. End the epa e85 mandate. Re-industrialize local communities with grants and loans, rather than bailing out failed business models. Reduce public sector debt.

Another problem is the enron exception which allows oil futures markets to be manipulated. Let us not forget $4/gal gas. "Coincidently", It was the federal government that put the housing bubble into motion through the Federal Reserve, Fannie and Freddie.
What the government is doing now is injecting the economy with MORE of the disease. They are no different than a heroin addict.

I disagree. The money being dumped into Wall Street etc. was handed out with the intention of keeping the credit markets from drying up and to reinflate the housing market.
Our country has become reliant on a system of credit, and credit is "debt". This is exactly the irresponsible behavior that got us into this mess in the first place.
In a nutshell, what our government is doing with our tax dollars cannot work.
