What Laura wants is the day to be a day of remembrance of the violence that occurred on the day. All that will do is continue the hate and get us no where. The day should be a remembrance of those who died, those who were saved, and those who saved; the people who made a positive difference, and that is what a Day of Service and Remembrance will do.

Alan is precisely wrong when he states, "they hate us because of what we do, not because of what we are". He needs to educate himself on radical jihadism because he is making a classic liberal mistake. They DO hate us because of who we are.

No Osama Bin Laden himself told people that if you want to know why we hate you read Michael Scheuer book. Even the 9/11 commission states the same thing. If it was about those reasons Laura stated then why didn't they bomb Sweden or Denmark? Sweden doesn't intervene in their politics. Ron Paul, Libertarians and other Conservatives also recognize this.
