  • Beautiful family ... those kids are fortunate to have you as their parents !

  • What a beautiful family.

    Love, Victoria xoxo

  • Beautiful!

  • i notice that he was not smiling when they met but at the end he was smiling and laughing....that is so cool that you decided for an older boy....i wish you the best and thank you for being so wonderful...

  • Thank you for sharing! :D

  • Congratz on your new son! We leave on Sayurday to bring our son 3 1/2 yrs old (special needs) home from Guilin China! We have our eyes set on a 11 yr old girl from there too whom we want to bring into our family as well. Our 1st one's from Maoming. May God bless your whole family!

  • so wonderful to see a family to adopt an older child - that doesn't happen very often but older children still need loving families

  • What a beautiful family! It so wonderful that you adopted an older boy... may God bless your beautiful family.

  • please Google the phrase >

adoption is a complex and sensitive issue

  • This is beautiful :)

  • so moving, thanks for sharing your story!

  • so great to see adoption of an older boy

  • Beautiful family. Thank you for sharing...

  • Nice to see a chinese kid being adopted by a Chinese family instead of caucasians. Must be so much easier to adapt and less identity issues later!!

  • It shouldn't matter what race someone is everyone has a right to grow up loved...no matter who their parents are!!

  • @lovefun2 Children see no race. Our daughter is a beautiful dark skinned Hunan girl, I white skinned Jewish/ New Yorker. Children identify with their family.. Sorry to be so blunt but your comment is offensive

  • @esteesmom Why offended? @lovefun2 makes some good meaningful remarks. Identity is important.

  • That is one good looking and loving family for you. It is unusual to adopt a more grown up kid. But Matthew seemed to fit in like a glove. He even looks sort of similar to his new siblings. Boy, did they know how to match them up. Best of Wishes to your lovely family.

  • but still remeber, china is still a poor country, most of people and orphans can enjoy this, it impossible...

  • how sweet:)

  • IM STILL IN CHINA RIGHT NOW TO ADopt MY SISTER!!!! Well we got her already but we are still in China! Great Video!

  • Wow you are lucky. A boy from China is rare. Girls are always the one becuase in China you can only have 1 child and usually people want boys to keep their name

  • But now people's minds changed, girls are also cherished,I am a Chinese girl ,I have two brothers,my parents love me very much. Now people don't care that much like before, people's mind have already changed, some couple also can have two children. There are many policise, not just "one couple, one child" :)

  • what a lovely family!

this time i was shocked, you adopted a boy at around age 7-9, usually when people adopt they adopt for 1 year old.... very intresting, you truly are giving hope to your son despite his age! very touching!

  • Beautiful family, and thanks for adopting! You're an inpiration to all.

  • love this

  • Wow, you guys are amazing.

  • Your video is wonderfully inspiring. I have wanted to adopt an older child for a long time and it makes me even more excited about the possibility. May God continue to bless your family...Any updates on how the transtion has been for Matthew and the rest of you?

  • I am Chinese and I do think you know little about China. China is not so good but it is not so bad. I do not like the Chinese Communism Party but I do not think CCP is evil. But FaLunGong is really just a evil cult. Most leaders of Falungong, like Li Hongzhi are really some cheaters and liars.

If you do not know China, please go China and know about it with your eyes.

  • Is your family Chinese?...Usually few parents would adopt older kids. What you have done is highly appreciated!

  • this is so moving

  • thanks

  • What a beautiful family!..hope mathew is happy in united states and that he has a family...

  • i never knew they had mcDonalds in China!!!! but the beauty of china, I AM GONIG TO MOVE THERE i hope...and wish...

  • There are many Kentuky and McDonalds in China, many children like it,many lovers also like it.Welcome to China ,Chinese people are very friendly.

  • thanks88....kid, you have an imagination: some friends of my mothers adopted a Chinese baby girl a few years ago and she is their little princess. Furthermore, they are both teachers, not CIA people, and they adopted because she couldn't have any kids, nothing diabolical.

  • Thank you. Your video has encouraged me greatly tonight! My husband and I will be moving there soon.

  • Thank You

  • Thank you for sharing such an incredible family experience with the rest of the world. • Wonderful video. ^^

But it`s sad some comments have hard rassism. I`m living in Japan (but not Japanese) and it`s so wonderful here. But China is also so beautiful. I`m happy for your happy family. I hope I can travel in China someday again.

  • congratlations for the very happy family you are. I envy you and admire your FAMILY priorities. Good luck and love from Spain.

  • What a beautiful family. We adopted a little girl in February, but would like to return for an older child in the future!

  • I think it's so, so awesome that you have adopted an older child. Your family is beautiful!

  • He(?) has a point, though, because some people do adopt internationally to kind of "use" the children as a status symbol. But I'd say that most people who decide to adopt have nothing but good intentions in their hearts; it's a shame that a few people have ruined some opinions of transracial adoptions.

My parents chose China out of the other countries because of things like cost, how long they'd have to stay there (my mom's so homesick for us kids, staying for 17 days!), how old the parents can be, etc.

  • I love this video really cute! ^-^

  • yeah i wanna adpot a smart, imaginative kid when im old enough. first i have to get a wife :)

  • ..Kind heart people..

  • i am a Chinese, May god bless kid heart people~~!

  • that was soo sweeet :D

i want to adopt 3 kids myself hehe but i'm only 17

lol cant waittttttt but first gotta get a gooood job

  • That was wonderfully touching. Um, if you don't mind me asking, are you all Christians? After all it's not every say you see someone quoting scripture. (John 14:18)
