and the reason i watched this video is because i like spearfishing, and the title of this video said it was river spearfishing. no where in the title or info did it say the spearo shot fish just for fun, without eating them. wasting fish is just dumb

listen guys we dont kill the fish for no reason.. the creek and section of the river we spearfish at, used to be some of the best damn trout and bass fishing in the country.. but the increase suckerfish, chubb and carp has decimated their populations.. its over run with suckers and carp.. and we really dont kill that many.. the spots we do though are starting to regain bass and trout populations though.

another thing.. by leaving the fish we do kill in the water and sinking them to the bottom. it allows other aquatic organisms to feed on them... it mainly brings in crayfish which increases fish the population bc gives them more to feed on.. so by killing a few we help increase the population.

that is an AB Biller which usually runs like $175-$250 i believe. just start with a jbl carbine for $80. the better you get the more you upgrade. I've upgraded to $600... stop at $300 trust me = )
