One of the best" white" uptempo doowops of all.I firstheard this on the Don K Reed doowop shop radio show, in the mid-eighties,on WCBS FM when it was the best station on the air.Now they tease us with some oldies, but no doo wops.
Thank YOU for this share! I hate that most of our "oldies" radios stations don't play the true "oldies but goodies" anymore - you are right, they tease us!
Another most pleasant surprise, and another reason why YouTube is a godsend. Heard this song on an oldies show many years ago, and fell in love with it. Another group redid this song (can't remember who.)
Paul didn't so much manage the group, as "groomed" them. He produced a number of sides with Tico & The Triumphs - some, like "Motorcycle" featured Rhymin' Simon on lead vocal. It appears that Paul had no creative hand, however, in 1962's "Cards Of Love". But, what a great doo wop record!
Paul and songwtiter Bobby Susser produced all the Tico records and managed the group. The other guy in the group was not Howie Brennan, but Howie Beck.

A good example of great white doo wop that did't get proper promotion. Terrific lead with great background vocals.

Hope you got it now.

Don't worry! It has a new needle and a correct needle pressure. But thanks for your consideration.
