I cant stand the factory Glock trigger and was very skeptical before I bought the skimmer but it was well worth it. If it wasn't for this trigger I would have sold my Glock as it would tear up my trigger finger. The skimmer surface is smooth (no serrations) and the pre-travel and break is reduced so much that it feels more like a regular trigger. There is still a very small amount of pre-travel (2mm)left in there to compliment the safety system and another 2mm in the break.
@midwestprepster you should b thinking about buying a race gun if u want a trigger like that dude. A trigger like that is a liability downrange. when ur sippin a chai tea in durka-durkistan, an 7.62x39 starts goin off from every direction around you, and your asshole puckers up like your grandmother on thanksgiving....... you'll b glad you got the 4.5
I'm trying to hate this. Mostly, I'm trying to be a total Haley-head. (i copied his ak with my rifle dynamics build). But I think it may be legit. I'm a glock guy. I currently own 5 and have owned a total of 8. This kit competes with other kits like it for the price point. If you're not gonna do it yourself you may as well go with this kit.
hey travis have you ever considered developing a series of correspondence courses for the material you cover and then have a scantron #2 pencil grading system like in the CORPS? you know what i mean.. M.C.I'S you can have a travis haley education course curriculum that us student's would feel honored to have a certificate from your school of hard knocks.. tactical classes correspondence style.. .. just a thoght brother. SSGT. CALHOUN U.S.M.C. (ret) from a dangerous place.. OUT! ....
hey travis, thanks for the class, i am a long time 1911 guy (hence my call sign) however i do also own a glock 21(sf) .45 acp and i love it. it's a great realiable gun.. i have always thought about the slack in the trigger and i hate it. thanks for showing me another option that makes a difference in time.. and accuracy i will buy a skimmer for sure..
i pump up your channel and your videos to all of my Marine corps brothers whenever i can keep it up man, your a voice of motivation to many
will this be made for the M&P? because I hate the stock trigger it has right now. just find the trigger reset to be pretty far and find myself always short stroking it.
I run a LoneWolf Dist 3.5lb connector, reduced Wolf striker & trigger springs and did a full polish with my dremel and Mothers metal polish and my trigger is sweeter then this system and I spent less then $20 for the parts.
Love the video and effort ya'll are putting into this "1911 trigger" for the Glock. I will be looking into getting one for my 22Gen4. This is the first video that I have seen of yours and I had to subscribe to your channel. I really hope you have more video's to come.
Regarding taking 100yd shots with a pistol: there is no reason to do such a thing outside of combat. If you are in the States you will not be able to prove self-defense against a target that far away. If you shoot at someone that far off, you will probably go to prison.
How does it effect the glocks safe action???? I have no problems and complaints with the glock trigger for my edc weapon.. 1911 triggers are nice for comp shooting though.
I love it I think this was a solid purchase I never realized what the pretravel did for accuracy at 100 yards I made 7 of 10 at 100 and I had between 12 and 15 k on my other trigger which was stock.
I like this guy, he isnt a smug asshole whos all like this is THE BEST. This guy has his shit down to a science, not only is his product seem good, he also has earned (prolly not only by me) respect.
what would I need to add if I get your skimmer kit and lower the trigger pull ... I understand about less human error even with a 1911 trigger you can still have human error when pull a trigger on a 1911 trigger... What I want to know is how to make it lighter ??? To me a lighter trigger is just increased rate of fire ... I just want to lower it down to a 3.5lbs on my G34
I have a competition trigger that the travel is already creeped back so the trigger bar is already disengaging the the firing pin safety before there is any trigger travel. does this trigger do this too?
Nice Video, I know what I'm getting next. Are you going to do a video showing what options you have on your pistol and AR? I think it would help a lot of people out because there are so many accessories on the market. Thanks for the great videos
Just saying, if I were to do a trigger job myself I will be sure to avoid using machine as much as possible, I have seen a lots of people having problem with a cheapy machine job on a trigger only to find that those cheap work result into weapon malfunction. A proper trigger job won't come cheap.
Mr. Haley, one of my friends and myself were wondering if the weapons on the wall in some of your videos are your personal firearms. Also I found your pistol grip demo extremely helpful. Thanks
Excellent job explaining the product and from what I saw it DID show an enhanced experience in regards to the trigger. However, if you had filmed your finger on the trigger in a closer view we'd know so much more about the product. The detail in view just wasn't provided.
Again, at a distance we could really see that it was reducing travel but it wasn't as convincing as it could have been if the camera was a few feet closer while you pulled the trigger.
You said it was available for 9mm, .40, and .357 Glocks - why not the .45's? Also, I don't mean to be a stick in the mud, but if and when you're involved in a shooting, the lawyers are almost certainly gonna jump on the fact that you've modified your gun from it's non-standard, i.e. "factory" configuration - same idea as using reloads in your carry gun. Your system sounds like it would be great (for the range), but I'd hesitate about using it on the street. CYA.
@GOETHE1963 Give one example, with references as to when this happened. I keep hearing about it, but I can't find any examples of this in legal precedent.
Durkadurkastan.... LMAO!!! Is that your store Mr. Haley, or is that your collection? And I look forward to getting one of these triggers when the gen 4 model is released....
This has gotten ridiculous. I've seen so much shit Travis is getting for this trigger. Even the ass kissers are talking shit behind his back. If he confronts them or they think he'll see what they said they delete their post. Do people have any reason not to trust Travis? Has he ever steered anyone wrong? No. This has made me realize who the real D- bags are in the industry or at least the wanna be industry guys are. Have a merry Xmas and stay frosty HSP.
6:50 The only time the glock has long travel is for the first shot. There is no reason to go past reset on subsequent shots. When someone "needs to put 10 rounds on target" they should already know to shoot to reset. 10 inches of travel is an exaggeration.

I will be ordering one of the skimmer triggers for my Glock 17 after christmas. I have been doing a lot of trigger research and am so glad I have found the Skimmer. Thank you Travis.
will you be making a skimmer with a 3.5lb trigger pull ... very interesting, I'm currently looking into a G34 for USPSA Production division ... And would like a light trigger pull and your trigger movement ... Pls let me know thank you
Travis has a lot of good ideas but I can't drink the Kool-aid on this one. Lack of free travel before the "wall" doesn't sound like a good idea. I've owned and shot Glocks for over 17 years. I polish the triggers parts and the "wall" is fairly clean and without much creep before the break. I suspect the $140 trigger set is not much better than 15 minutes with a Dremel polisher. I tried the Glockmeister polished trigger set and did not like it, I like the standard Glock trigger. YMMV
I thought this would be blah, blah, blah buy my Glock stuff too. However, there were some very valid points made there. Off the top of my head I don't think I have ever shot anything besides a couple of 1911's that didn't have a pretty good size run up to the bang.
My two questions: how soon is soon for the Gen 4's?
With no play at all in the trigger would guys CCW with one in the pipe?
Buying one tomorrow. I trust you Haley! Been following you and your products since The Dynamic Handgun. Myself and my other operators buy what you sell. Thanks man.
Wow! Apparently people just like your channel so they can come here and bitch and argue about the info. Travis, as usual great video, great info, very professional. And that is a awesome gun room.
I like the thought and philosophy behind this product. Now I can't wait for it to be applied to other handguns like the M&P and XD/XDm. Great job, Travis!
Travis, obviously this product will allow the shooter to climb to the next rung of excellence. In a world of new products, I really appreciate the thoughtfulness that go into the products that you create.
Nice. You gotta admit there's a certain persuasiveness to someone who can put a 1" group in your face at 100 yards... no matter what the product is heh...
I merely installed an OEM 3.5 connector, and NY1 (olive green) trigger spring and achieved the same results displayed in the video. It took literally 10 minutes of polishing the contact area's with a Dremel on medium speed. I'm willing to go head to head with this trigger and total cost for parts is less than $25.00. Mr. Haley, does putting your name on it really cost that much?
Very Cool Travis! Enjoyment in shooting comes down to the trigger for me. Plain and simple. I've sold guns that have had bad triggers. I've got the Gen 4 in 17 and 26. I'll be looking forward to the release of the Gen 4 line. Thanks.

I have a question.
When you run that glock, how is the grip circumference in comparison to a M&P?
I really like the glock for being tried and true. But i like the ergos and beavertail on the M&P.
Is there any way to get that grip to comething comparable to a M&P?
Also, that looks like a gen 3 to me, where did you get that beavertail mod done?
Thanks Mr. Haley.

200 yards with a handgun! I'd really like to see that. I struggle connecting at anything past 50.

@USpatriot741776 Look up @tnoudoors9 he has a video of doing a 200 yard shot with a Series 80 Colt Govt.

Good stuff.. Almost makes a 1911 guy like me buy a glock. I will purchase for an m&p or xd should it become available.

How does this compare to Apex Tactical's Forward Set Sear Trigger or DCAEK trigger?

@txcombatvetx2 I agree I did the ghost 3.5 and it is awesome

Looks and sounds like a smart idea. I mainly shoot 1911's and glocks and to make them closer to each other would be a great thing.

Travis, My father owns a Gen 2 Glock 19, can these triggers be used with a Gen 2?
Reynard13Fuchs 2 months ago
I assume the rear "nose" of the trigger bar has been re-profiled significantly to lighten the take-up?

A buddy of mine has a Glock 23. Can you make this trigger for that? I have an XDM compact. Can you make one for that too?
Excalibur01 2 months ago
@Excalibur01
The 23 should already be covered by glocktriggers who manufacturers this system.
XDM no idea.
jrygrim 2 months ago
@Excalibur01 Like he said in the video. It is available for 9mm, .40 S&W, and .357 models. So yes, your buddy's G23 is covered.

Very Cool Travis! Enjoyment in shooting comes down to the trigger for me. Plain and simple. I've sold guns that have had bad triggers. I've got the Gen 4 in 17 and 26. I'll be looking forward to the release of the Gen 4 line. Thanks.
