  • how long did it take to make it?

  • at 3:20 he shook his hose more than twice.

  • 2:48 your welcome

  • i couldnt see the dam fail because an old bald guy came and stood in front of the camera

  • He also directed the stream from the hose at the dam twice that I saw. "favorunmerited" is also correct, I believe, in his comments about "anchoring" the dam. Not much friction on that plexiglass.

  • I blame it on the OLD GUY STOOD IN THE WAY for half the video

  • Where's the dutch boy!

  • hmm informative video but they should attempt on some water limit also ...

  • EPIC FAIL!

  • Now i gotta pee.

  • You just killed my grandma

  • Great Example to understand Low Gravity Dam. When the Dam is empty it is having its own Weight (w), but when the Dam is full it is having its own Weight (w) and Horizontal Water Pressure due to which the compressive stress at the Heel and ...Toe of the Dam becomes more. This is because the compactness is not up to the mark and also no any type of reinforced material has been used. Therefore, the compressive stress goes beyond the maximum safe allowable limit and thus the Prototype Model Dam fail

  • I find it irresponsible that not one of them made an attempt to save a single truck driver.

  • thats not a fail thats COOL

  • Wow, you can play with sand and water!

  • 3 people were in those trucks,

    good video though :)

  • Thumbs up if you.liked this video.

  • 3 people were down stream from this!

  • Impressive ! Nice simulation for better understanding !

  • oh dam

  • i Dont understand this video ^^

  • I can't believe those drivers of those vehicles just left there vehicles there when they could clearly see the danger when the one vehicle started sliding in the water.

It's there own fault they died this way.

    RIP.

  • 2:05 MOVE!

  • Fail is @ 2:56

  • i cant stop watching this, i imagine thre are people i hate at the bottom of the dam, hehe 0.o

  • thats not a damn its a levie

  • I wish that dumb ass that kept walking in the way hadn't

  • PEE

  • is that man doing toilet in starting??haaaaaaaaaa

  • get out the way dork

  • the first truck falling should of made to other drivers think "oh s**t the dams collapsing, I should probably get off it and not just stay parked here"

  • DUH, what do you think is going to take place when the sand becomes saturated. Now why would anyone use sand for making a dam unless you are playing in a sand box? I would hope serious consideration is not being given to using sand in any phase of dam construction other than in making concrete.

  • u r madddddd

  • Zoomed in noticed there were 4 Range Rovers on the dam!!

  • i survived

  • you sould of used moon sand

  • I pity the guy who has to clean that out.

  • yay one sirvivor :D :D :D

  • Brown Jumper Man, get the fook out of the way! No offence.

  • NOO!!! my truck!!!!!

  • Not a representative of soil materials used in making earth dams. Scale model is too small. Good try anyway.

  • What was this demonstration for?

  • i see your problem

the dam wall was made out of sand and trucks

  • I think that the upstream of the dam should be rip-rapped to prevent water from seeping through. Secondly, eathdams are made of compacted clay, why is yours just sand without any compaction? and finally where is the spillway? Also the feedback from the flow is just very close and the force from the hose you used definitly had some impact. Good work anyway!

  • That was so fake. those trucks weren't real.

  • @strapen2good

    your tits are real

  • @strapen2good they looked real man idk i just dont know hahahha

  • @strapen2good Dur dipshit its a model, read the title before bashing it plox. :-)

  • Did you not notice the word model.

  • @strapen2good it said model dam you fucking idiot

  • 2:55 is were it starts to break down

  • Does this indicate that all earthen dams are flawed due to the tendency for soil to absorb water? Or is this just sand-dams? If given a constant source of water, will a sand dam completely saturate itself, or does that change based on the amount of water available? Does the size of the dam matter? I wish I had gone into engineering!

  • I would be curious if the dam would fail in the same manner if you had approximated anchoring the dam. perhaps glue or tape sandpaper to that portion of the Plexiglas on which the dam sat. What we see here appears to be more of a friction failure.

Loved the video anyway. Thanks for contributing.

  • @favorunmerited this would be a good example of damns such as the teton damn. They arent as reinforced as standard engineering, just pilled up dirt and gravel. im sure that had it been anchored wit would have behaved differently.

  • It looks amazing! I like that.

  • who retards filmed this? why didn't you kneel down? fucking amateurs

  • Most dams aren't made of sand. I'm just sayin'...

  • the cement truck made it

  • model of tenton dam/

  • umm oops
