No, this is way different from raise rise. In raise rise you are showing the backs of different cards where as in this version you can show the same card all the time. Raise rise can also be done with one hand. This is not the same trick as raise rise dude.

I think you can add an extra kicker in the end by showing your bra...,er, I mean by showing the entire deck is face up (you do the trick with the choosen card face down, it goes up, and up, and in the end all the deck is face up except for their card that is now face dow on top)
