  • And people act like Jackson was some great human being, and some great President. He was just as evil and prejudice as today's racist white man.

  • dang so the cherokee people were the one's who married white people and probably became christians yet even in all of that the white people still said hey you gotta get up out of here wow wow

  • This brings tears to my eyes and I'm not even Native American.

  • @AguilaComandanteDGO HUH??? Hospitals?? Universities????? Where did you get these fairy tales? They didnt even have a written language.

  • @AguilaComandanteDGO No, I did'nt say there were those things. I said you choose to live in the modern world rather than like people did back then. And if you compare how europeans lived to how indians lived in 1492, europeans had a much higher standard of living.

  • now i know how he got on the 20$ bill.

Colonialism is alive in the 21st century and it has to stop NOW!

  • DAVID WHITEKILLER

    LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • they talk about how america was to have a divine purpose and that it was a spiritual nation-spiritual?maybe when the native tribes worshiped the great spirit- honestly spiritual people do unto others as they would have done unto them-just as today the insanely greedy and materialistic control our government and us and do as they please and cannot be satisfied no matter how much they have-and they continue to destroy the land and the health of the people and abuse the tribes

  • im aways hearing that this country was build on christian values , before the white man came it was a more humble place to live than now,

  • @lovelynann

Christian values are to force people to do as their bible says. If you don't behave in accordance with their bible, then you are considered evil and must be changed. Christianity views only themselves as right as does not state that you must allow people other than yourself to exist untouched by their "faith". So, yes this is a christian nation. Lie, steal, cheat, destroy anything that is not like you all in the name of "love". Just Spiffy.

  • I want to say thank you with all of my heart for having 500 Nations in your selection. I was unable to watch the documentary when it aired. It is hard for me to see anything right now due to eye lense replacement so these I will listen to in my darkness.

     - Little Owl Princess -

  • tsa la gi a ni wo di ( always in my heart is good )

  • William Holland Thomas fought fought for us to keep our land in Western North Carolina.

  • The United States will be judged for all of the treaties she has broken with the First Nations people.

  • It was not just the Cherokee. Other indian clans suffered too. Hint 500 nations. And what's so wrong about not wanting to go see a modern doctor? I don't know any witch doctors and they really are not called them. That's stupid HollyWood for you. They're also called medicine man, or the shaman. But witch doctor? XD The Native American's didn't do any voodoo. And I have to admit, some modern medicine and doctors both suck. They only care about money, not actual healing. And that's just some.

  • when i think of Natives

    Spirituality and Nature

    comes to my mind

  • You would think that the bitterness would last forever for these sins committed against the native people. But if u know the rate of marriage or just plain shacking up with the non natives,it's really sad,the native people are becoming such a bunch of "Mongrels, and we're doing it to ourselves".I give thanks to all the Natives out there that still follow the orthodox ways, still promote our languages, still follow our ways of acknowledging all the things that sustain us here on earth. Rathahonni

  • @RATHAHONNI Guess I'm one of those mongrels since only my grandmother was full Cherokee. Doesn't change my celebration of the fact that I'm part Cherokee and prefer to follow their practices and ways rather than European ways. Are you a racist toward me because I'm a "mongrel" in your eyes?

  • @katydidscorner ,as far as i'm concerned you've become assimilated or u could say white or "whatever" with some native blood. And what i think means nothing anyway.

The racist card is pulled much to often,it is what it is,one of your ancestors opted you out, live with it and move on,be the best whiteman with some indian blood that u can be.

  • @katydidscorner Really? You follow Indian ways rather than European? You are very unusual then. Most people would rather go to a real doctor when sick rather than a witch doctor, and most people would drive a car rather than ride a horse, and most would eat food from a supermarket instead of going hunting. You do all that?

  • @hannityforpres Following Cherokee ways doesn't mean giving up modern inventions or modern medicine. Following Cherokee ways merely means I am a not such a material and wealth driven person. I practice conservation and environmentalism. I care about my neighbors and share with those who have less than me. I grow some of my own vegetables WITHOUT man made pesticides. I celebrate the fact that our Earth is a living thing, and I love it as I love my own mother. Those are some Cherokee ways.

  • @katydidscorner Oh, so you pick and choose which european and which indian ways to use.

  • @hannityforpres Yep, I sure do. I'm both, and I'm proud to choose the best of both worlds.

  • @hannityforpres apparently you've never studied anthropology or any other social science. All of culture is the combination of ideas, whether between individuals of a society in the case of its generation or between two pre-existing cultures in the case of ALL MODERN CULTURES. Thank you katydidscorner for posting this, and for being who you want to be, instead of what others tell you to be

  • @ffeiawjion Wrong. I took 2 courses in anhtropolgy in college. I studied the pygmies in one and eskimos in the other.

  • @hannityforpres well then I'm sorry that the core idea didn't stick with you. Why would you condemn a combination of two cultures, if you don't mind my asking?

  • @hannityforpres also, you used the offensive terms for both groups, which I find funny. they're the central african forest foragers and the inuit.

  • @ffeiawjion Pygmies is the correct and commonly used name. In fact, it was the title of the textbook. Not offensive.

  • @RATHAHONNI listen my friend you would be far more instrumental in telling your story about being native american and all the hardships as well as the accomplishments of the native american than disputing bloodlines . The heritage, customs and culture define who you are. My love for the native american is truly sincere and calling someone a mongrel is unacceptable. How about promoting good will because there are alot of people who would love to hear your take on being native american

  • @SuperJwalk ,That's all been done,we need to concentrate on what we have left and how to save it! Educate our young people on what they have to lose when they Marry or co-habitate with non natives, our teachings tell us that 'if u do this to your children, they won't know who they are' and u will burn their blood for seven generations.

  • @RATHAHONNI Ok i respect what you are saying but i disagree with you i just wanted to reply and wanted to find out why you were relating to people as mongrels so let me ask you what if your sister married outside of the race?

  • @RATHAHONNI - It's funny you say that because they are also the Hebrew Israelite and people dont know that. Notice the DARK skin of the Ancient indian people, skin color became lighter due to mixing the race but not all. Just like what had happen to ancient people are happening to people all over the world and the Europeans are the true demons of the world. When I think of what are going on with the Palestinians, it happen here with the Native people and now they are few.

  • @MsCuriousCat ,in the end were all going to get a tan.

  • @MsCuriousCat What does skin color have to do with anything? Why do we have to bring race into this discussion? Not all "white" people are always bad. Some of Native Americans best friends these days are the people of Germany. They provide help for them to get health care and higher education more than their own country. Europeans, for the most part, feel ashamed of what early Europeans did to Native Americans, and it was those of Spanish or Portugese descent who were the worst offenders.

  • part of the problem, part of the solution.

    History is a mother *uucker

  • david whitekiller.....lol

  • John Ross was only one eighth Native American from his mother's side, but he had the heart of a true Cherokee.

  • the views of Roldan and of Gregorio Garcia, that the aborigines of America were descendants of the JEWS. 2 ESDRAS 13:44 for THE MOST HIGH showed signs for them and held still the flood, till they were passed over 45 for through that country there was a great way to go namely, of a year and a half:and the same region is called ARSARETH. (so called north&south AMERICA

  • You know, before when I heard "Trail of Tears" I always thought Cherokee. I never realized, though I should have, that there were other nations involved. Shows how little I know

  • There were five: Creek, Chocktow, Cherokee, Chickasaw, and Seminole. The famous phrase "Trail of Tears" was first spoken by a Chocktow native. Even though it fits all the tribes, the phrase belongs to the Choctow.

  • this IS a different 500 nations. not the one from '92. cool

  • Man am telling you I learn something evertime I hear about this Trail of Tears thing everytime i hear about it. First I learned that not all Native Americans lived in Teepe's than I learned that they adoubted slavery into thier Culture a sad but terrible truth. Now I leared it actually was a Nother Native American who signed their land over I guess their are traitors in every race.

  • what gives the government the right to kick people off there land

  • @chief87900 ,more and bigger guns,no moral right.

  • Great video.

  • This is a good video, It is teaching me a lot about indigenous history, this was a terrible event, it was wrong of these people to drive others out of their homes and away from land that was rightfully theirs. This should not have happened to the Cherokee. I believe that the history of the native americans is full of great things and the people who treated them like this were wrong.
