With 5 people it would be very easy. I played horde solo and on harcore. I actually just beat it not too long ago. If you can do it solo, then with 5 people its just too easy.

Its all about what stage you pick. For me day one was the best becuase it gave the advantage of having the upper ground, and it gives you places to post up and take cover. Its also about knowing the weaknesses of the enemies, they each have thier own weaknesses that you can take advantage of. it took me a while, but I finally got through it on harcore by myself. It only makes you better in the end anyway.
