  • I am just wondering. You said you are a snake priestess. Does that mean there is actually a snake cult? I want to know as much as possible without it so I would really appreciate it if you could tell me. Snakes have always been a strong symbol and model for me in life. I want to know more and more about them.

  • snakes are sexy

  • the secret of kabbalah and kundalini in the stars BR YOD = 33 --- watch Solar Scorpio Kundalini at jagball22 type in jagball22 to learn the secret of the stars jagball22

  • She's the real deal and a wonderfully kind woman...

  • I miss my snake, Darlin. I didn't have her for very long and I had gotten her when she was about 6' long. Not sure her age because the person I got her from didn't know either since she had received her from someone else. I basically rescued her but she ended up dying a few months later. I remember how she would push her way out of her temporary tank when I'd be stressed and wrap herself around me. I felt all my worries melt away. Never wanted to leave her but had to work. I cried when she died.

  • I've got a ball python named Erbie. I want to belly dance with him, but I don't want him to get nervous and bite me.

  • @bigfig1900

Even though having fangs, Erbie should not bite, just due to that fact.

If Erbie knows you, then you should know him too, and from there, no problem should arise, yes?

    I wish you luck:)

  • @ahchappar why such negativity??

  • Very true, I love snakes, and I would love to dance with one, feel their power, much like Kundalini. I love how they feel when they crawl over my hands, almost soothing.

Rituals. Are you a Pagan by chance?

    ~~)O(~~

  • I am an Earth worshipper so I guess I'm a Pagan.

    ~~ )O(~~

Love this motif! May I use it?

  • Yep, you can. I don't own it, so yeah. I didn't even come up with it, but I was the one who added the ~ lines. :D (Some people don't know what it means, but since you are an Earth Worshipper - we fall under so many different names - I'm suspecting you know what it means, y'know the moon and all).

    :D ~~)O(~~ Namaste!

  • oops, sorry I was on my sisters account by accident. Yes, again you can ... I really gotta stop doing that.

  • oh my god your snake is BEAUTIFUL!!

i know nothing bout them - do they actually show "affection" for ppl they know?? i ve heard by some snake owners this actually does not happen.. but well, maybe someone can share experience?

  • Red tail boa Snakes show "affection" in an instinctual manner as they are reptiles, but not in a human emotional way. Your scent should never smell like their prey, your temperature be warm, your body relaxed & don't close your hands around their neck. When you respond in the same way over time, they will be gentle in return with you & other people & as affectionate as they are with each other. The exception is during feeding when any snake is fierce.

  • Interesting.. so from your account I can tell there probably are great differences in "socialness" (from what we can assess and understand) between mammal predators like f.e. wolves and reptiles?

I am asking because there are so many accounts on wild wolves forming friendships with scientists studying them (without a feeding relationship), which I as a layperson would term "affection" (not sure if in the human sense though) - while on the other hand so many ppl share their homes with reptiles.

  • I had always been curious on whether saurians and snakes in domestic surroundings form a similar relationship with human beings as some non-domesticized mammal predators do.

I am guessing the species are not comparable from what you say? what is their social behavior amongst each other? do they simply tolerate each other or have some sort of social rituals? do they "play" with each other? :)

  • I am thinking it is an Indian bindi.. but it's become a fashion in the West, too, so it probably has nothing to do with Hindu tradition :)

That snake is beautiful - I would not let her wrap around my neck like the lady on the picture does, though 8-)

  • I can't believe the last comment. It really shows the ignorance that some (not all) christians have. Snakes are beautiful creatures that should be respected.

  • Not to mention it was a real non-sequitur.

  • LOL.

    What are you referring to?

Having a snake being a sin?

You might want some theological education at least. Nothing wrong with snakes theologically - they were punished (according to the Bible, which is long proven wrong biologically) by being deprived of their legs and having to crawl in mud and sand for their betrayal, much the same as humans were punished by being brought from paradise to earth. So we're in the same position.

Besides if animals have no soul - how can they be guilty?!

  • leave what alone? the snake or the dance?

  • Oh I see.. well I do not have a snake anyway. I am not sure reptiles are happy in domestic surroundings. Same with birds - I somehow could not do that anyway, keeping them at home.

    Find them intriguing though.

  • Such a gorgeous snake.

  • Hmmm, yes they are gorgeous and love to give sooting body hugssss as well!

  • I loved your snake you brought to Rakkasah. So gentle, loose, and social; I could easily tell it was well loved and well socialized. ...and I know nothing of snakes :)

I love how you have found such peace and insight through your beautiful snakes... and that you have such a desire to reach out to others and give them healing and peace as well.

    Thank you,

    Sapphira :)

  • Not certain where my response went to.

But thank you for your wonderful testimony on behalf of my Snake teachers and myself!

    Many blessingsssss to you.
