Grant Jeffery makes sure in part 1 to say 1 Thes 4:16 does'nt say last trump, yet in 1 Cor 15:52 he leaves out that it does say last trumpet. Scripture teaches very clearly that Jesus Christ returns AFTER the tribulation, Matt. 24:29. The meeting in the air occurs at the LAST TRUMP, I Cor. 15:52-54, which in turn occurs AFTER the final 3.5 years or 42 months of the tribulation. Notice in Rev. 20:4 that believers have REFUSED THE MARK OF THE BEAST and have been beheaded for their witness.

Indeed, there will be a 'rapture' (Catching up) of the Church, but it happens at the 2nd Advent of Christ. Jeffrey is really struggling to make his case. I am aware of the fallacious teachings of pre-trib. futurists. Notice that the 7 yr. period of tribulation is based on an erroneous interpretation of Dan.9:24-27. In this text, there is nowhere intimated that there is any sort of 'gap' that exists between the 69th and 70th weeks. The whole dispensational/futurist scheme is based on this fallacious theory. The 2nd Advent and the rapture are the same event. I concur that Christ does not touch the earth during this time. Thanks for responding

(the 2nd decree of Artaxerxes in Neh.2). Just add 483 yrs (69 wks.) to 445/444 B.C. and one comes to 39/40 A.D., which is way too late for the crucifixion. But, if one begins at the proper date of 457 B.C.(Artaxerxes' 1st decree,Ezra 7), add 483 yrs., that brings us to 27 A.D. (Jesus' baptism).

THE return of Christ is NOT the same as the "catching up" of the bride. We do not claim that Jesus ACTUALLY COMES TO EARTH during the pretrib rapture NO! We are "caught up" meet HIm in the clouds as it is written. Jesus THEN takes us to the bridal chamber, and WE RETURN to earth 7 years later WITH JESUS, and HIS foot touches the mt of olives as HE ACTUALLY RETURNS to earth.

if you payed attention to what rev 19:6-10 talks about you would know that the wedding does not happen until he meets us in the air. that is the marriage.

rev. 19:7 "let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready"

I dunno if its pre trib or what, but to help answer the question you raised (not sure if I'm right, just trying to offer some ideas) I'm guessing that the people satan persecutes are those left behind (not raptured) who either have not yet accepted christ or like most christians today still live in iniquity. Example; Drugs, sex, violent vid games movies, filth TV(which is most of tv) then convert to christ or truly turn away from sin and reject the mark AFTER the rapture. Thoughts?
