  • son the morning = morte et dabo

  • It's so awesome that these guys are praising the Lord in their own unique way.

  • The earth is like a garden where both the wheat and tares the good and the bad grow up together, but will be separated on the threshing floor of trials and temptations. Satan will do his part to deceive humanity where God does His part separating his children from Satan’s children, those who follow him.

  • Indeed, Satan is a defeated foe already. Nothing he does can change that. Jesus Christ defeated him 2K years ago. Although Satan doesn't want you to know that, he's still deceiving people, people who doesn't know where Satan will spend eternity, never to be seen ever again in the Lake of Fire! The creation of a thing can never be greater then its creator, Satan doesn't seem to get that, but he's full of himself, wanting to be like God and that will never happen...a burning hell awaits him!

  • "when i try to play God in my life, my life falls apart."

  • He said the star used to be a christian symbol, But the bible NEVER mentions anything about Christians using a star symbol.....Why is he lying?

  • Personally, I don't believe in his (and many other's) God, but I do feel there's a higher power somewhere and also a darker (lower' if I can say that) power and I just apply the lyrics to that. So any people that call him stupid for his beliefs can fuck off. Religion is a choice, not a disease, so stop treating it like it's one.

  • They are really really good. All this god stuff is just silly though :-/

  • @Th3SMS Why is it silly?

  • I grew up 3 houses down from Micah. Used to be able to hear him playing drums all throughout the neighborhood. Still talk to him quite a bit when he comes back to Texas. Okay I'm done bragging

  • I had no idea that even the album artwork had such a deep meaning behind it. I thought it was mearly just a destroyed symbol os satan. It's simply amazing. God bless this band and everything they do. They are true servants of the Lord.

  • I say this with no disrespect behind it whatsoever but I think it's adorable and a bit funny that when he speaks of God he looks up as if looking for approval of his words because I honestly do the same thing all the time.

  • I love God's names in all these albums, the Finisher, the Breaker, the Healer, The Comforter, Its like all these Christian metal bands coordinated it or something, or maybe God is trying to tell the world of his indescribable Being!

  • i didnt want to buy this album at first. i thought it had strange lyrics, but one i watched this video i bought it and now its one of my favs. thanks for posting this video all those years ago. :)

  • They're lyrecism is amazing.. like August Burns Red, they're song are pretty much super heavy worships. I love it! So sad most people just base stuff of the sureface like Micah says.. U gotta really fig in when looking this stuff up. Same way we need to seek Christ. We can read a Bible, but can we have the humility to realize we're just human and NEED God to help us understand?.. This is amazing.

  • If Micah was the preacher at my church, i would go nonstop!

  • I have seriously never been so moved by the lyrics of a song like I was with "The Finisher". The whole world needs to hear this. Keep it up and COME BACK TO TEXAS! (College Station, perhaps...?) Ha, I'll get all of you "Saw 'Em Off" shirts! (Psalm 75:10 printed on it in reference to A&M's rivalry with UT) I believe it's a common theme in "The Finisher" as well...Y'all could definitely rock those on stage! Ha, Let's make it happen!

  • @bsax9687 Thank You so much for this encouraging comment!!!

  • @bsax9687 another aggie vote for that!

  • @bsax9687 the finisher is excellent!

  • @zezuntxiduntxi I'm not a christian I just don't like satan. I like god.

  • @bsax9687 they are coming to Waco soon! come mosh for jesus with me

  • @JORDANLISTON When are they going to be in Waco? I missed their $1 show in Dallas which I was planning on going to because I had to work =/ I need to make up for that ASAP!

  • @bsax9687 haha thats a cool analogy. did this show ever happen??? what a great idea and opportunity for one of the world greatest bands from Texas

  • @OutlawVideoTV No. =( I have to wonder if they're even aware that this song is so relevant to one of A&M's biggest traditions? Haha, if not, they should be made aware and then come to College Station!

  • @bsax9687 great song! i get goosebumps whenever i listen to it....that entire album is really special and powerful!

  • i like how it said shane would autograph any SOTM cds and i have a copy autograph by the whole band

  • My youth leader keeps telling me music like this is fundamentally evil, even if the lyrics are holy and Godly purely because it sounds evil. He says that if you can't understand the lyrics then you cannot be touched by them.

I'll be honest, I dont care because Oh, sleeper have changed my life with their lyrics and music and Micah's writings are simply beautiful

  • @sirsmashmetal your youth leader is right, the bible says to avoid any appearance of evil.

  • @1800Spencer

Yes, but this doesn't have the appearance of evil in any way

I think of it like this, You have Christian worship, yes? That's good

But then you have people that like to outreach to kids in different areas through music, so you have Christian rap, hard rock, rock, hip hop etc etc

Then you have Christian metal such as Oh sleeper, haste the day etc

Yes, the roots of metal music and the like are evil, but it's good to have this form of music to outreach to kids that need the help

  • 9:15

Dirk likes Oh, Sleeper, who woulda known!

  • I saw and met the band last night... I got to scream "I'll cut off your horns", and "If you could see like me you'd see, you haven't won anything!" INTO THE MIC!!! Best night ever man... SO glad I went. Micah's a very nice person, too.

  • Best Band Ever

  • oh sleeper and august burns red are easily the best lyrical/musical christian bands out there..their stuff is better than most other bands too. the conviction in their lyrics are a refreshing taste compared to the more popular mainstream bands out there.

  • @cbeckett22 God is an awesome, amazing God. You can believe what you'd like, but no one wants to hear your opinion. People like you claim Christians shove religion down your throat, yet you sit here and criticize and disrespect our beliefs. Have some respect. All in all, whether you believe or not, Jesus still loves you!

  • heard of the band before, but heard "Son Of The Morning" on TVU... Was puzzled at first so I had to seek out the lyrics and came across this video... Now I understand... Very artistic to say the least!!!!

  • Woot to God giving us Oh, Sleeper to spread His Word! <3

  • @cbeckett22 You don't need to be ignorant.

  • @babylungss yes I am the ignorant one living his life for some guy that may, or may not, exist. If you can't see how religion is ruining the world, then you are the ignorant one.

  • AMEN!!!

  • God? Who? Oh you mean the invisible guy in space.. yea.. there is no such thing.

  • @cbeckett22 if your perception of God is an invisible guy in space, then yeah there is no such thing. before you deny the existence in something, i advise you to first learn what it is.

  • @yomama111336 Please, inform me. I would love to hear your side. Although I have heard you side my whole life, and it's bologna. It really takes an ignorant person to believe all the stupidity that's been shoved down our throats. Maybe you should pray a little more and all the smart people in the world will die off, and people like you can run the world into the ground. Or am I wrong in saying that religion is ruining the world and killing millions of innocent people every year?

  • @cbeckett22 i understand that you are a strong disbeliever in religion, but why make the effort to watch this video and then have the nerve to comment? first i would like to tell you that i don't listen to the nonsense most people preach. and even though i would like to, i doubt i can change your views on God. Religion does kill not one person, its the money and the warfare that destroys nations. and its just people like you and me who find something worth arguing about that kill our selfs.

  • @cbeckett22 I do agree that religion kills as many people as everything else does. People believing in a God that tells you you have to be good enough to enter His presence sounds horrible. Islam and Hindu require you to balance out your good and evil to be "righteous" enough. I'll go as far to say that religious legalism is the number one killer. Those who get locked into believing what their parents believed and don't think for themselves cause all the problems and are as credible to their

  • @cbeckett22 folly as their parents. Thank God He made a way for us to be righteous in Christ. That I don't have to follow rules to enter Heaven. God actually tells us that "he who lives by the law will die by it." Christ came to the earth and criticized the same Pharisees and religious leaders that you do. He hates hypocrites more than you do! Thank God for His Son, for the sacrifice, for love and grace and mercy. If we would love Christ, the world WOULD be better. And thank God that He will

  • @OliverJamesC So true. Religion is a very dangerous thing, thankfully through Jesus Christ, we don't have to do anything to make ourselves right before God, because being in Christ is what makes us right in Gods eyes, not our own good deeds, no matter what, we can never do anything to measure up to Gods holy standerds, it's just too much. If there is anything that I've learned, is that God doesn't save good or perfect people, but rather he saves those who can't save themselves.

  • @cbeckett22 allow only HIS children into the household for eternity.

  • @cbeckett22 as far as i can remmember both hitler and stalin where atheists. these two did more killing then all religions together. im not religious btw :) just a believer

  • nice to see a christian who knows what he is talking about and isn't all "omg, i love jesus sooooo much cause he is like so awesome and cool"

  • For fans of OH SLEEPER - CHECK US OUT!

  • respect and true talent here

... more like god given talent

  • I've been a Christian my whole life.. And i have a lot of friends who aren't... or weren't.. believers until i showed them O' Sleeper. Micah's lyrics are just so amazing. They're moving in a different way than any other band writes songs like this... Instead of praising God in the cliche way that everyone knows, they show His true power in their songs. It's just incredible. I've met the guy. He's from my hometown.. Fort Worth Texas.. and Micah is also an incredible person to know.

  • @zackyj19 thats very cool bro. thanks for the comment!

  • @zackyj19 my youth pastor is personal friends with micah, we will actually be opening a venue soon, and micah said they will kick it off =P

also, i saw them last night for the first time, in nashville.

  • Amazing Album.

  • Awesome!!!!!

  • a message 4 Satan:ur screwed

  • bands like this make me super happy i am a musician because it helps me have somethin to look forward to when i wright. and i love it when theres a lot of biblical terms in a song. to me it shows their maturity. this guy is truly an inspiration same with the rest of the band. all very humble people.

  • That really sucks that such good guys like you have to be with such pricks like BMTH and their shitty music.

  • i really love this band.

  • best album by oh sleeper.. son of the morning

  • this guy has the facts messed up. The pentagram was used by the pagans before the chirstians, the 5 points represent the 4 elements and a 5th, the spirit, And with the spiritual element being on top, it represents the empowerment of spiritualism over materialism. The christians then took that symbol from the pagans (along with many other symbols which you can read about if you actually research this). Then the satanists made an inversed version of it as described in this video :)

  • @SmallFish616 there are many stories about where the pentogram actually came from because some say it used to be greek before anything

  • that is deeeep stuff, love it!!

  • This guy's pretty cool.

  • my favorite part was the interviewer with the hick accent, and the stuff learned

  • @AWsomedood87 Haha, I love your comment, but I believe he would prefer it if you said,"southern accent," instead.

  • when i first looked at oh, sleeper and saw the broken pentagram and the album title "when I am God" i was like....what? how can this be sending a Christian message? whats up with the pentagram?!

but now that i understand what they mean by it all i think it' awesome. it's clear that micah has a love for God and his lyrics are truly intelligent and inspiring.

  • Comment removed

  • i love this band, and micah's writing, don't get me wrong. but i honestly can't stand it when people say, "oh yeah god told me to write that" or, like micah said, "once in a while God will [write] a little something through me" or whatever. Idk, its not possible to me. Good song, great band though, I don't pass judgement, that statement just makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.

  • why do christians love violence so much? this record sounds like the lord is more vicious than satan himself? if you dont believe me on the violence just read the first 5 passages of the bible or watch the movie the passion of the christ.

  • @thricegod1288 from my walk with God, I have learned that God is love. We do not love violence, we aren't the one to judge or condem people, God does that in the end as a righteous and holy God. This album is about the end times, as in Revelations, talking in reference to how God will stripp all of satans power from him. God's word says, "every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that He is Lord" and if it takes ripping out satans knees, God will do it, but he will bow to the Lord.

  • @playingaprestige it all just sounds contradicting to, how is he merciful but all about destroying everything? he should love lucifer as much as anyone else because he doesnt judge.

  • @thricegod1288 Yes God is love and very merciful, but He is also righteous and just. Now Lucifer was an angel, and angels don't have the same forgiveness we have, being that they are different creatures. They were made to work for God no matter what. God does love everything, but where He is perfect He must punish everyone that has turned against or away from Him. As for us, as humans, we have this time on earth to find that forgiveness and have a relationship with Him. He is giving us a chance

  • @thricegod1288 God doesn't judge? Hmm...

  • @thricegod1288 lol fail

  • @thricegod1288 first off.... the passion is about people being violent to Jesus so... no God isnt more vicious. and second, he is being loving by giving us a chance to not burn in hell. if he wasnt loving, all of us would be doomed. and like playingaprestige said, this is talking about revalations when good will show justice to anyone who denied him.

  • These guys are phenomenal writers. When I actually followed their lyrics i was purely inspired. The whole concept of the son of the morning vs the finisher as a beginning and last song to an album is fukin awesome.

  • The only album that could be better lyrically than this is WHEN I AM GOD. Micah is amazing. I met him a long time ago, hes super nice

  • i'm a real fan of the new album!

also, the first thing i noticed about the cover art was something that Micah didn't mention: I thought that the broken pentagram was supposed to be an arrow pointing upwards, symbolizing that even Satan and his evil plot will still "point to God" in the end, since the devil will ultimately bring glory to God through his demise

    SDG

  • These guys are deffinately up in the ranks of purely epic hardcore Christians standing alongside Underoath and others. I'm going to tell my youth group about them!

  • I am a Christian but it's arogant Christians that say stuff like ''our would be better without sin'' and stuff of the like that make me mad bc no one knows what it is like to be without sin. Everyone sins and it's something that u dnt have control over. The only place that is sinless is heaven and once u get there u can't come back and write a book on.

  • @danield00d Actually the Millennium will be without sin...so...yeah....1,000 years is enough time to figure out what living without sin will be like. :)

  • @ghostgate82 Does it say "and the world shall be cleansed of all sins, and none shall be committed."? Because I've read Revelation quite a few times, and when talking of the Millennium it merely states that it will be 1000 years of rule by Jesus. We'll still be human, though, so that does mean sin. At least, this is my understanding of it.

  • @loganwoods At least that's your understanding of it. Exactly. Some things are vague. It also states in the Gospels that we will get glorified bodies. The Koran also says we will get glorified bodies on the day of Resurrection. This is nothing to fight over and get angry. Christians really need to calm down. Everyone isn't an enemy.

  • Hehe my name is Micah=]]

  • Just to let all of you guys know, Im going to save BMTH :)

Mabye I gotta couple, (4) years to go buuuut itl happen ;)

  • I thought the right-side up pentagram was a Jewish symbol...? The Star of David?

I didn't think it was a 'Christian' symbol.

  • @DefineDeath090 the star of david has six points.. lol

  • @slowrider91

    Ah, gotcha. Lol.

  • Atheists are just stubborn people.

There really is no penalty in believing in God and Jesus Christ as your savior.

Even leading a christian life is MUCH better than wasting away your life doing whatever you please (drugs, sex, violence, etc.)

Our world would be so much better if people at least tried to lead good lives.

All that sin brings is negative. You get to have a bit of fun but the rest is always a major con, never something positive...

  • seeing them tonight !!! wooo im excited!!!!!!!!!!

  • I found these guys on a Metal Music Channel.. and I'm like.. wow that's awesome. I looked them up and not one of their songs have let me down. They really make you think, and I like it. COME TO OHIOO!

  • Ehh. Just wanna know what they're like before I see them live. They're pretty cool. I didn't know they were christian, and they sound really cool live:D

  • hahahaha oh my gosh this is so freakin legit. im a new fan of these guys

  • Comment removed

  • @canonb0y i dont wanna start any arguments, but im a firm believer in Christ. but if its good music then it shouldnt hurt anything for them to give Him credit, ya know?

  • @canonb0y

You must be an ignorant kid then. Every song of their's is Christian Metalcore...

You should read up on bands that you listen to so you don't have to upset yourself later on. Kinda sad that you dislike them for having a belief, lol.

  • @DefineDeath090

i have pretty good reasons to dislike religion and riligious people.

i dont think i need your opinion on that.

go ahead, believe in a big invissilbe man who lives in the sky and watches every move you make ;)

  • @canonb0y

I don't think I said anything about believing in a 'big invissible (invisible*?) man who lives in the sky'.

I believe in God? Anywho, that's cool, I just said you should know more about bands you enjoy listening to before you go and turn your back on them like an ignorant fool.

  • @canonb0y so does that mean you dont like The Devil Wears Prada? UnderOath? August Burns Red? and many other Top rated bands in this genre, just because they are Christian..? Even if they were not christian, their lyrics and songs are amazing

  • @FollowTheSon777 that's correct, i don't like those bands eighter, although august burns red doenst drag about it like oh sleeper does. devil wears prada sucks even if they where not christians :)

  • @canonb0y lol, well you have the right to like your own bands. Im just saying, dont hate someone just because there beliefs.

And i dont know why you hate religion or whatever.. but dont hate God for something that some stupid humans did or do to you...we all know that a few people can make everyone look bad and there sure are alot of fake messed up people in the church... not trying to argue or anything..

  • @canonb0y Kinda like a child will like a meal with spinach in it and when you tell them spinach was in it they contract their previous opinion and say..."well...I guess it wasn't that good after all". AFTER the fact! You are nothing more than that child in logical rebellion. The real fairytale is making your mind up based on OTHER peoples false assumptions. I hope you change your mind for your own sake. It pains me to see people turn away just for the sake of being "hip".

  • @ghostgate82 go fuck jesus if you love him so much (:

    dont bitch about it

  • @canonb0y Dude...how old are you? You gotta be like 14 or so right? If not, that's even more sad. And I wasn't "bitching" about anything (kinda sounds like you are though), I was just using a parable (ya know, like that Jesus did...that tool) to explain how you are being childish for POSTjudging someone. PREjudice is usually the bane of YouTube comments, but it takes a REAL special person such as yourself to be a post judging douchebag. Don't confuse God with human religion.

  • Wow, that's extremely deep. I didn't realize that they were so profound. They just joined For Today, and War of Ages, and Becoming the Archetype as my favorite out-there Christian bands.

  • @loganwoods haha, thats like my exact list of favorite, just add the showdown, august burns red, and haste the day lol

  • @lilcheap2 Well, yeah, I do like those bands, too, but I said "out-there" Christian bands. Bands that state their faith in just about every song they sing. August and HTD, (I've never heard The Showdown. I've heard of them, just haven't listened to them) don't explicitly say their faith within their lyrics. Don't get me wrong, those types of bands have their place, and I respect them and enjoy them, but I was talking of out-there Christian bands. But yeah, August and HTD are sickeningly awesome.

  • @loganwoods i get exactly what you mean, i definitely respect bands like for today and oh sleeper wayyy more. but youre exactly right, they all have their place

  • What was the song playing at the intro of this vid?

  • @olemale5 We are the Archers

  • I find it really cool how the whole album is a fight between God, and satan. I've never heard a album where it's like a story, where it has a way deeper meaning then just killing your enemies or cursing you ex-lovers.

  • the explanation of the pentagram is backwards

  • Amazing.

  • incredible band! i JUST discovered them last weekend and i am truly loving everything aboot them thus far! may the Lord bless them much and their hearers!

  • I like hearing the story behind the album. I enjoy their music a lot. Keep up the good work

  • People take the word differently.

Any way you take it, as long as you worship, God Bless.

  • Actually the pentagram meant the 5 senses and THEN the 5 wounds of Christ. It's also important to mention this was AFTER it meant the the sprit over the 4 elements and after it represented the Babylonian goddess Ishtar which is where it was first seen.

The pentagram did not originate in christianity.

I'm not a christian BUT I agree w/ MrJayDude. Know the history, events and stories behind your belief system and most importantly the beliefs before it.

  • This is one of the most brilliant rock albums of all time. It may take a while for people to realize it, but eventually they will. God bless you guys, and keep melting my face with your music

  • the 3rd part

take Gods' side and you'll be greatly rewarded. I am so blessed that we have this band and that its not afraid to say what God word tell us.Study your word. discover whats out there and see for your self what times are coming.

  • the othre part (2)

About the us being christians. Us as christians need to obey to God commands and he has a call for us. We need to accept and agree and comply and not just sit there and say that he gave us "free will". Yeah. we have a choice. That choice is ours and its to respond to it. He made us who we are. He gave us nature in being our selves. I mean there a lot of things to say, but your the one with a choice and a voice.

  • I like to say that everyone here has very rightful opinions but we need to study for ourselves the Word of God.Not just let people fill us with their knowledge because its not always right.

i ran out of space look bottom

  • There new album is sick! but i think there first one was better.

  • This album is by far the best "Christian" album I've ever heard in the since that it's made me think about my faith so much. It's so challenging and motivating at the same time. I love it and I thank Oh, Sleeper for writing it.

  • check out For Today. their cd, Portraits, is an amazing Christian cd

  • @Mahan07 I freakin love Oh, Sleeper and For Today. Definitely 2 of the best metal bands I have ever heard!

  • This guy has an amazing voice,

Yesterday at art ambush they had a worship show, and micah preached and, man it was awesome god has blessed micah so much with all the talent he has given him

  • I HAVE WENT TO A FEW OF OH SLEEPER CONCERTS AND THEY ARE JUST AS AMAZING LIVE AS THEIR CD. THEY BEST LYRICS I HAVE EVER HEARD. mY FAVORITE BAND

  • @MakeLuvNotKids They are AMAZING live.

  • Wow....I haven't hear this band before but now im interested.

  • @xchampx They are pretty sick dude, especially live

  • @xchampx

My friend burned me their EP when it came out. They're really great, and it was nice to see the guitarist from Evelynn (who filled in for BTBAM for a while) keeping on.

  • I am so incredibly grateful for this for this guy and this band. Not only is this album absolutely amazing, it also substantive. It's also apparent that he is a man of great character, and that is admirable. Can't wait to see these guys live!!

  • datzwhatsup: i think they are so similar because of not only micah and the rest of the bands faith but because Revelations is something that is very much connected with current Christianity, especially in the hardcore scene. But i just think it's something they find important and interesting, so they are gona write about what they are interested in. I think it's a great cd...maybe its not the music, but the subject matter you need to come to terms with...

  • Not trying to diss "Son of the Morning" or anything, but I really see a lack in creativity in this album. It has the exact same metaphors and messages as the last album and even the EP. Armoured marches, bloody wars, and unjust kings. Im tired of getting bashed in the head by the Holy hammer.

  • micah kinard is my new best friend. new album is great.

  • this album made this band my fav band

despite I don't care for christian messages, really cool concept

  • I loveeeee this guy. He's purely incredible. And his writing is fantastic. (:

  • i 100% agree with @jennimazing on this video comment. you will need to look to see what @jennimazing commented.

  • @jennimazing I know what you mean. I've spent the past week listening to them and The Crimson Armada, screaming my soul out. Gah! Oh, Sleeper is such win!

  • this guy is awesome, and he has my name which is cool to lol

  • ..one the greatest albums I have ever heard, honestly, you will listen to it over and over

  • I knew from the Finisher they HAD to be deep XD

  • i knew these guy's were deeper then i thought: )

  • ALERT ***Real Passion and Effort*** ALERT!

  • LOL yeah and they did a good job of releasing a real concept album.

  • nice. you know i thought they were arrogant somewhat, but this is an awesome insight

  • If you follow their message or not, please at least respect it. These guys are putting real passion and effort into their song-writing.

  • its a shame he thinks it not his own wisdom that writes those lyrics.... (no offence to devoted christians btw.)

  • Well its true. when real change takes place in a person's life, its not our own wisdom and influence that changes them. Its the realization of the reality of God with the other person. That means it's God's doing. We, as Christians, are simply instruments of His will. We are God's loyal servants.

  • You are entitled to your opinion, so by that fact im not going to say you're wrong. But from the way i see it, i think its sad that such a talented lyricist has to shed his talent and claim it all to come from his God.

  • agreed.

  • Chewbakka17, I understand what you're saying. It seems like it's a waste. If you look at our culture, it doesn't make any sense at all that someone of such talent would divert all the credit away from themselves and give it to someone else. But what you have here isn't your average Joe, but a man of true character. Someone who is living wholeheartedly for a cause, in his case, the advancement of the Kingdom of Heaven.

  • So don't be sad for him, but instead be happy that he's REAL, and not some phoney Christian who puts Jesus in his lyrics only because he knows it'll sell albums.

  • Wow! Thanks, that really is a good way of looking at it. lol. I suppose the amount of devotion to his faith gives him the inspiration to write these lyrics and without the devotion he would just be another 'phoney Christian' as you said. Thanks :)

  • @TearingBeast Unlike some other bands..... *whistling*

  • Well Chewbakka, your comment is based on the assumption that his god is imaginary. That may or may not be so, but if his god is indeed real, his god, being the God Christians believe in, has created everything, and his given this man his talent. So why then should he be more proud of his talent than the color of his hair if he played no part in determining either? Unless we assume (fallaciously, in my opinion) that God is imaginary, this man's humility is quite admirable, not sad.

  • As u must know already, i am a non-believer. But i have no aspiration to encourage this in others. So if people are to believe that this talent of Micah's is given by God then thats fine. And I do suppose that it is, in a way admirable for someone to have such faith.

  • You fucking owned this guy, good stuff.

  • im not trying to start anything i just wanted to add something to your comment.... God gave him the talent to write and scream so he is just giving God the credit.... lets say i painted you an amazing picture and you hung it on your wall and everyone loved it and told you how good it was but you couldnt take credit for it because you didnt paint it.. its the same thing with micah. he is just giving God credit for giving him such an amazing talent. thats all i wanted to say be blessed :D

  • the main dispute that i have with this video is that he claims to have been 'given' these talents. What "TearingBeast" told me before change my opinion slightly. Yet i dont like to believe in there being a greater power, and for a god to decide who we are. Instead i prefer the idea of us making ourselves who we are which is what makes us all unique. So Micah, along with everyone else, painted a self portrait if you will :) I appreciate where u are coming from though

  • its nice that you have a cool head about but God doesnt decide who we are he gave us free will to do whatever we want. if i wanted to i could be out partying drinking doing drugs and all that jazz but i made the choice to be a Christian and not do all that and hey if you dont believe thats cool not trying to force anything on you but just want you to know that we as christians make the choices our selfs to do what we do :D

  • cool head about IT* lol

  • @tayw01 Whats wrong with Jazz? =P

  • @Chewbakka17

Well sometimes when christians, espeically "artists" say they were given the talent, but they may not meant they believe God literally gave them the talent, but that all things in life ultimately stemmed from his creation.

  • @MJOLNIRMkIV

ok.. if im understanding you correctly, your saying that god dosnt give us the talent.. that we get it through us practicing. but yet in fact i am a witness to God giving us talents, i only took guitar lessons for like 2 months, that was 3 years ago.. i didnt learn a thing in those classes. i learnd by playing by ear.. and now i can play alot of songs... if i could only get vids of them and put them up...

  • @Lightris

We were given free will. It's very evident. We are to exercise that free will as we see fit, though it's obviously wise to try and lead a good life. So it would contradict that to believe your given things. As for your example, it's not really a good one. Some people are more musically adept than others. I knew a friend who played drums for three months and was as good as it took me in a few years. It's all debatable really, so i'm not trying to prove you wrong. Just explaining.

  • i bougth the album and love it. so awesome =]]]

  • so good. so good. so much hope

  • Whoever pointed out how he looks up every time he mentions God, thank you for pointing that out - I never would have caught that!
