He was not really cool w/ the way they changed up the lyrics, so instead of bending over and either complying or trashing the song completely, mustaine decided to literally just beep out the "original" lyrics leaving only his own...an arrogant compromise i guess ??? :)

and by 1974 black sabbath had albums out so technically judas priest didnt invent metal. also Deep Purple.

Dave had to bleep out the song because the song's original author, Lee Hazlewood, deemed Dave's lyric changes to be "vile and offensive" and he wanted the song removed from the album. They had to remove the song because they were under the threat of legal action. It was released later on the remastered version with the lyrics bleeped out.
