Can you tell what effect you had on the second guitar for the "Rain down" part? I'm pretty sure I hear Whammy pedal, but I don't know how you got the sound to swell like an organ.
im using a multi effect processor but i can tell u the details.
I used a harmonizer effect set to the 24th note or in music terms the 2nd Octave..You can set it to the 12th note as well won't be that much different.
Next you will need a delay effect and a reverb effect. The delay time are set depending on your song but the most important setting is the echo. Set the echo just right so that when it fades, it produces a sustained sound. The reverb I set it to a Hall reverb.
Finally to achieve the swelling sound just use your volume swells on ur guitar by strumming the chords on volume zero and slowly move the volume up and back to zero. In my case I just use a volume pedal.. much easier...
